Has anyone heard or learned something about the new WM6.1?
Some people say that the the main changes are the following:
-Copy / Paste
- Domain Enroll in Settings (Enrolling in a domain will connect your device with company resources.)
- New home screen (pan left and right to check out missed calls, notifications like email, sms, etc.)
- Change Master Security Code
- Added text input settings
- Recent Programs when pressing Start menu
- Threaded SMS!
- When you compose an email, or SMS, and start typing the name of the contact in the "To:" field, the contact names finally pop up like Windows Mobile Professional!
- Internet Explorer now lets you define a homepage, and also zoom in and out using a nice and clean interface
For more information (mainly picture shots) go to:

as has been mentioned before, windows mobile 6.1 with the carosel thingy is smartphones, not for phones that use a stylus.
mattie's response should be in the wiki
I was going to say, you oculd do most of those things in WM5
hahaha
add
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM\SMSInboxThreadingDisabled
binary
value set to 1.
restart, and it works!!!
this key disabled the sms threading, without disabling the sound and other notifications (as far as i know).
Edit: in the middle of the key, it should be "settings", somehow the forum forbids post this "Settings" key.
Thank you.
there is even no such key in vanilla 4.01
but i've made it - and it works.
thanks!
works, thx.
but u can also use: DWORD Value!

I'd like that too, anyone come up with a solution please let me know.
Just use schaps advanced configuration tool!
Other Option
HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings (The Space in "Settin gs" is somehow accidently added by the forum, don't make that )
and there should be a
DWORD named "SMSNoSentMsg" set to 1
change it to 0 and you should get your notfication. If this Key and DWORD does not exist, create it with the value 0. Should work then

It works for me ... but only UNTIL restart, then added key disappears and sms threading is back on :-( Any idea where could be the problem ?
EDIT: using ROM meschles Touch 4.01 Full NC
thx,
m.
Hi,
I had the same issue. Are you sure you are using "Settings" key and not "Setting s". I was using "Setting s" key and this was causing a problem for me.
Also if you are using the right key, make sure as soon as you change your registry, you open text messages. I did this and the change is instantaneous, not requiring restart.
Hope this helps.
THANKS A LOT! Works fine for me. ROM: Artemis Vanilla 4.01 WWE.
No problems with rebooting mentioned somewhere here - everything stays.
P.s.: somebody make this topic sticky perhaps?

I have made that registry change this way:
- using Total Commander as registry editor
- HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Setting already exists
- created OEM folder using Mkdir
- created key SMSInboxThreadingDisabled = 1 using +add value+
- then going to messaging --> text messages - everything OK, no threads
- soft reset
- added key has disappeared (folder OEM and added key are gone)
- sms threading is back switched on :-(
What am i doing wrong ?

It works fine with me.
I use Vanilla 4.01 and PHM editor. not sure if you have saved the change under Total Commander, or maybe you have some kind of software that prevents changing Registry keys.
martin.eu, please wait about 5-10 minutes after registry change and do reset after that time. Windows requires some time to write registry to the ram from the cache.
It seems that there is some problem with regedit plugin in total commander. Change made with PHM regedit and everything works fine ...
thx,
m.
Thank god for this thread, I can't imagine what insanity at Microsoft led to the implementation of the threaded, no notification SMS system - It's horrible !

Thank you for making it more convenient
Windows is "un-checked" for SMS delivery notification but touchflo does anyway
So i have done a search and most of the results are talking about hot to have sms delivery notification however i do not want sms delivery notification.
I went to messaging options and the option is un-checked however the touchflo 3d on my t-mobile touch pro 2 gives me one anyway.
Any help on how to disable this?
Thanks
All over the other threads.
get a RegEditor [im using CeRegEditor]..
Sent SMS Notification Fix
Found Fix
1. Navigate to: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox
2. Create a new key "Settings"
3. Create a new string value "SMSNoSentMsg" and set the value to 1

Hello everbody,
hope i´m right here to ask a questition, where i was not able to find a soultion.
Since there´s a new version from S2U2 ( ver 2.40 ) it is possible to jump from
the locked screen ( after sliding ) to an appointment.
In the setting of s2u2 it is descriped, that you have to do the follwing:
-------registry s2vexe--------
Customize the application opened when "slide to view", the first digit means:
0 - missed call; 1 - voice mail; 2 - SMS; 3 - MMS; 4 - email;
5 - Flexmail; 6 - WL Messenger; 7 - reminder; 8 - active task; 9 - appointment.
e.g. when there is a missed call, open iContact's call history instead of the system call history, edit 0File to \Program Files\iContact\iContact.exe; and 0Parameters to -recents (the path may be different on different language device & where it's installed).
----------
So i did that already and enter the following data to the registry key under "9"
\programme\sbshcalender\sbshcalender.exe
[ i got a german rom ]
What happens is, that i recieved an errormessage when i tried to open an appointment from the lock screen.
The message stated: sbshcalender is not an certified programm or components are missing.
Well, that´s the point were i didn´t come over,
i would really appreciate some help of somebody
who could lead me in the right direction.
P.S. hope my english is good enough, to understand my issue.
P.S.S. i posted this Questition already in the Calendertouch forum,
but i didn´t recieve any answer, hope somebody here at
the experts forum could help.
Thanks in Advance.

I have a Windows Revolution ROM by mike1986 with Manila TouchFLO3D2.1.38680 Gen.Y yozgotg (uploaded with MTTY) and I would like to customize it a little for myself (without cooking if possible) so I have some questions to experts :
1. How to enable / disable the icon / notification of new sms / email on the slider (this is a circle with the number of unread messages)?
2. Can I change the SMS manager to another? If so, how? I found some here a HTC Messanging Client v1.8 but it probably will only work with Sense. I would like in the Messages tab in TouchFLO have the right of the icon MMS (now I only SMS.) In addition, if there is any manila's MMS editor, Arcsoft is not finger friendly for me.
3. Is it possible to change size of the font in sms TFL3D tab "Message"? If so, how?
4. Dialer does not support video calls. Is it possible to change it to another? Does this will affect the speed of "charging" when an incoming call?
7. After some time TFL3D is not fluent but the consumption of RAM is about 75%, other programs are closed. Why?
8. Often, after soft reset, the battery can drop as much as 30 percentage points if it's normal and is it any way?
9. Can I change from the constant vibration on intermittent?
10. Can I add a Call History Tab without changing the existing Tab? Currently, I have to go in the contacts tab -> more to have such a list.
Well, it's alle questions now
Thanks for helps everyone and please understand if I wrote something illogical, or I asked a question that somewhere the answer is already there.
Sorry for my English

You will change almost the all ROM i gues
It sounds for me that you need a stock ROM like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611011 and instal SPB Mobile Shell 3.5.5., you will love it
