XDA Devs Forum tracked by PDAInfo.org - About xda-developers.com

Did you know that every XDA forum thread is also available at this website ?
http://www.pdainfo.org/index.php
Amazing ...

Is it illegal or something?
Ugly site. They could use a graphix Team..like..urgent.

They basically just use the FEED from here to show the latest threads or latest activity on their site.
It actually helps xda-developers because it just provides more backlinks and more possible traffic

New File Sharing site - perhaps we can use this for ROMs?

I found this site while browsing reddit:

Reddit discussion:

Perhaps the devs can start uploading to this site and see how well it works
PS: I am in no way affiliated with this site. I just want to get the best experience for all XDA users.

Mobile Web Development Forum

I have looked and looked (and asked) and I cant find one on here. I have come to the conclusion that one does not exsist. I have found another thread that brought this up(from 2006) (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1564598
But it didnt get an response.
Is there really any interest for that sort of thing on XDA or are you all more into offline app dev?
I feel like this would be a great site to host a forum like that and I would be a very active contributor.
Is there a way to get something set up for this?
Thanks.

[Q] Is it possible to open a forum for an app

Hello,
I am a dev working on a popular Android app line and have seen quite a few posts here by user seeking support or sharing experience. While we do have a ticket system, a dedicated Android support team and a much less popular forum, I find most problems user experience are first report here, and many posts give valuable insights on how we can further improve our products.
So I am asking the possibility of opening a forum for a specific app or a line of apps, either with or without the official support.
NOTE: This is just an idea I come across reading posts here, and does not represent the stance of the company.
There already is a forum for that... go to android development and hacking, and then android apps... there is the forum dedicated to apps...... and in case you can't find it here's the link... http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=530

err, a forum for "Applications and games created by xda-developers users for use on Android. No commercial apps/games allowed." seems not what I am asking for.
if its a paid app then xda too got dedicated forum for paid apps.

[ATTENTION]: Updated Rules for Sharing/Selling Themes

OK folks, after much discussion, the rules regarding theming have been updated. It's important that everybody take a couple of minutes to read this.
*Please notice...As of late we see a lot of playstore links to paid themes popping up. Keep in mind XDA is a development environment and we love to see graphical modifications for our beloved expensive devices. We of course encourage theming using a "sharing is caring" strategy since that's what XDA is all about. And we are trying to keep it this way. XDA is not and will never be a marketing platform, so from now on we will not allow direct links to paid themes on the playstore. Basically these are the rules :
1) No direct links to paid themes.
2) You can mention your theme is available on the play store as "donation ware" if there is a free and exactly similar version on xda.
3) Paid version must stay exactly the same as the free version, update on playstore has to reflect version freely available on XDA.
4) Do not discuss playstore in your thread, but you may add it to your signatuee. (this does not mean you can create an obnoxiously huge banner). Please keep it to a manageable size. There will be no exceptions to these updated rules. Anybody found posting links to your "donation ware" themes on Playstore will be removed, and there will be consequences.
Thank You.

Is modding illegal?

So I have seen that there are so many developers on XDA who are making mod so google camera can run on non pixel devices ....so I just want to ask a question is it legal or okay to download it ? Or does google support XDA developers modding their app ??? Please reply.
As there was already a post made there and response shared as well - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=82330665&postcount=3441
Will close this thread for now. Feel free to reach out to us if you want to continue with this thread then i can move the post from there to here to avoid duplication.
Thanks
