RSS Feeds not working on Wiki? - About xda-developers.com

Hello,
I can't seem to get the RSS feeds working on the Wiki. I get:
"Content Encoding Error
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.
* Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem."
It flashes a page in Firefox first that says:
XML Parsing Error: no element found
Location: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=RaphaelLinux&action=PageHistory&format=rss
Line Number 1: Column 1
No RSS feeds seem to work on the wiki at all. Can this be fixed? It's a really useful feature!
Thanks!

RSS??

Is there the possibility of having RSS so as to be constantly updated on posts and topics? Thank you!!
RSS has been enabled for a long time. If you're using Firefox to brows the site... look in the address bar and you'll see the link for the RSS feed.
Any chance of giving us the address of the RSS feed? For those of us who do not use Firefox because of restrictions placed on our PC's?
Thanks
As posted about 5 threads down from this one:
I am using SPB Insight as my news feed reader and have sucessfully subscribed to just the ones i need using varations on the following:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/external.php?type=RSS2&forumids=312
All i did was change the number on the end to reflect the sub forum i wanted. 312 being the Trinity Upgrade Thread.

Old site via Wayback?

Hey. idk if this info will help much, but i was using the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine on the old Kin.com site, and even though most dates loaded a redirect to the (now non existent and non-archived) kin studio, i did find a copy (albeit with some missing fonts and flash objects) that works. Also, i did a search on google using the site: parameter (site:kin.com) and it pulled up some still active links (theyre all related to the webpage version of the "KIN is finally available!" email {The web copy of the email, the tweet, post to facebook, email, and share to myspace features, images, etc). again, i dont know if this even remotely helps,but still... oh, and i found a "Content Service" csv file using wayback stating "The content service for this site is off",as well as some image files from the source code of the page.
heres some of the links i found:
view.email.kin.com/?j=feef1d70736c0...c7c741272&jb=ffc61d&ju=fe9115767163027874&r=0 (the webpage version of the email)
click.email.kin.com (redirect link. nowhere to redirect, never redirects)
web.archive.org/web/20100417130131/http://www.kin.com/cws/ContentService.svc
web.archive.org/web/20100513005918/http://kin.com/favicon.ico (webpage favicon)
view-source:web.archive.org/web/20100416104749/http://www.kin.com/ (GOOGLE CHROME view source command for the page)
web.archive.org/web/20100416104749/http://www.kin.com/ (site that tries to load a flash object. never loads. may be due to wayback server that hosts the file is down, or the file was never archived)
web.archive.org/web/20100529113540/http://www.kin.com/? (is missing some css to arrange the site it seems. login to kin studio works. after logging in with a Microsoft account, redirects to defunct kin studio page. help partially works.)
I hope this helps! (And if it doesnt, then no harm done, right?)
Hehe. I remember looking through Google's historic cache and the wayback cache for kin.com .. the main thing I was trying to find was the original wallpaper, as once you change it, you can't get back to it.

Silk browser becoming useless

I'm using a Kindle Fire - 2nd generation, I believe. Under device settings, it shows system version 6.3.4_user_4120720.
While trying to view web sites like the NY Times, pages jitter all over the place as various page features load/blink/annoy. If I click on reader comments, an overlay covers the main page, and if I try to scroll through the comments, the main page BEHIND them scrolls instead. I can't post a link, but a google search for "Migrant Chaos Mounts While Divided Europe Stumbles for Response" will take you to an article whose web page displays this problem (assuming you're also using a crippled browser).
I wondered if the ancient Silk browser simple can't handle the features being added to many web pages. So, I downloaded the Firefox APK directly from a Mozilla.org page. I enabled the installation of 3rd party apps, and when I tried to install the apk, I got a message saying "error trying to parse the package". My method was simply to tap the apk file while viewing it in ES File Explorer. Is there some other step needed to install Firefox? I successfully installed K9 Mail this way, but FF - no luck.

XDA RSS Feeds Broken

For the last couple of years I've been getting updates from my favorite XDA forums in my RSS reader. The URI for a feed was of the form:
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/external.php?type=RSS1&forumids=4168&lastpost=true
where 4168 is the forum ID .
Starting yesterday, the RSS feed URIs started failing with a 403 forbidden error. I suspect something is misconfigured on the XDA side. Anyone know who I should contact to try and get the feeds fixed? TIA.
Indeed! Only main articles RSS feeds work.
This saddens me.
$ curl "http://forum.xda-developers.com/external.php?type=RSS2&forumids=5915"
<html>
<head><title>403 Forbidden</title></head>
<body bgcolor="white">
<center><h1>403 Forbidden</h1></center>
<hr><center>nginx</center>
</body>

Question Save to PDF not working

Hi,
There is a feature wherein, one can print to pdf from any app which has this feature emabled. Like say from any mail app, one can print an email and system print dialogue opens up and provides an option as "Save to PDF". Earlier this used to save the print in a pdf format. But now clicking on Save icon results in an error "couldn't create file". Is this only happening to me or is it not available anymore on any android device. Can someone provide an alternative wherein I can save certain information via Save to PDF feature.
Many apps I tried from playstore doesn't work as it was available earlier. As soon as I share a web page from chrome to print, the web page doesn't get loaded into the app for pages which are session based which are mostly transactional confirmation pages. Like say making payment for any service or product and trying to take a print of that to save as pdf.
Would be thankful if anyone can help.
Sounds like a bug on Xiaomi's part. Not sure there's a solution. Sorry
I think turning on MIUI Optimisation should do the thing.
