if i look at the list of available roms, some say 'UC', what does this mean? user customizable?

I am sorry if this has been asked before, I did a few searches and couldn't find the info I was after.
I am playing around with some of the ROMs available from different developers on this forum and was wondering, when you flash a new ROM is there a config/settings file that sets up the different parameters on the PPC?
I would love to be able to customise a ROM that automatically installed the CABs I want plus set up the environment variables such as ringtone+vibrate, today screen items, theme etc..

Thanks for posting a link to a thread I have already read .. but
I am after info for when compiling a new (cooked) ROM
search for Ext_rom and see what you find....
Hello,
my name is Markus, i think about to build up a database, where devs can upload and post their ROMS. I think about this, because it is very difficult to find here a rom with features wich i want to have. I will build up only a database, with no forum, the support and things like this, schould stay here.
But I think this is only possible, when i find some devs wich have interest to use an offer like this.
What think you about this? A Database where you can search and filter roms. For example you can search for special applikations, wich schould be in the rom or a special language.
Sorry if a noob question or already been answered, did a search and couldn't find anything.
Can anyone tell me why there are different band options available in different ROM's? Under Settings/Personal/Phone/Band.
Some ROM's I've loaded under GSM/UMTS band give only one option - UMTS(900+2100) + GSM(900+1800), while other ROM's give many more options. Is this Radio ROM dependant, or ROM dependant based on what original ROM was cooked?
Thanks in advance.
After flash after flash after flash, I am starting to think about cooking my own ROM to have all my personal preferences. I like a number of things from various ROMS that I wouldn't mind seeing in my own rom.
Now the problem is, I have no idea where to start... I have tried having a look with the search without much luck, however there are a number of "How To's" for various other devices.
Is cooking a rom standard across devices (except for vga/wga etc) and can anyone point me in the direction to learn how to cook roms properly for the diamond?
search for "complete guide with video tutorial" or something .. i lost all my bookmarks, after some stupid thing with ccleaner and firefox
if i can find-it i will edit my post
here

Looks like the sort of thing I'm after.
Cheers. I'll take a look tonight
Could anyone give me a mirror in which I can find ABC rom? I mean, I've found it in the relative subforum but the informations there are so confused and dispersive, so that I can't have a solid landmark on which searching for updates and changelogs. Could anyone provide me a mirror in which I can search for updates, and give me a feature list of this rom? Maybe even an explanation about the logical of ABC rom. As I understood, there are roms randomly made by some people but nothing else.
@edoardotavecchio: no mirror, but
1. If you search in ABC-thread for ABCromCSE_bullhead*.zip, you'll easy find the latest build.
2. IMHO there's no big difference to SAOSP. So if you find searching too inconveniant...
