Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere. I have searched a great deal, but no luck...Apologies too if I am missing something obvious, but I never said I was all that bright
I am almost finished with my update to the "translucent" themes (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=459885&highlight=translucent) for the new Manila 3 ROMS. All I have left to skin is the big green "talk" button on the dialer screen. I have spent more time than I care to admit looking through all of the Manila files and PNGS/BMPS/GIFS on my device, but cannot find this image file either among the usual suspects for Dialer assets or more unfamiliar files. Has anyone had any success here?

Loaded WM6 on my hermes and was looking to custom create a dialer skin.
Is there a tutorial or Skin editor to allow me to create my own dialer skins?

Not alot of info around unfortunatly....however it is quite quite difficult to learn as i found out.
Search the forums as there is a few threads on this aswell.
Thanks much.. Guess I'll do some more digging around. I found cabs for different dialer skins.. guess I'll try to reverse engineer those. Maybe start a thread with details...

idk if this will help you out very much, but from what I can see in the ozankilic's iphone skin, it's basically a cab of .bmp imager (all of the buttons) and reg entries according to those buttons.
also I used CABwuz to get into the cab, havnt tried to actually make my own skin
PS yes thats all there is, image files (bmp and gif) and reg edits

I found this theme somewhere here before but I couldn locate where is it now. It has a lot of tsk files for HTC today plugin. Anybody can give me the link?
htc home dont have anything to do with theme tsk files
any tsk file since pocketpc2000 works just fine
so what you are really looking for is pretty much just
a background picture
Its a tsk file that I have downloaded from this forum...the one I posted is call "moon and tree" and they have a lot more but I forgot the thread title...the reason im looking for that tsk files is that it is created in way that top portion of the picture is black to suit the HTC home and the bottom part has various picture....

Can I ask a really noob question?
When I bought my phone (htc p4350) it had a htc-home 'plugin'. When I select it, I never get this nice weather nor a big clock or anything. I just get a big blank part on my screen.
Now I downloaded from this forum some htc-home plugins, but I never get them working. I install .cab files and still nothing changes on my phone. I ad and remove home items but it remains a big nothing.
WHy can't I get this to work? Somehow phones fail on me. I have extended knowledge of computers and Windows XP, programming, etc. yet I can't get a simple home plugin to work on my HTC phone.
I have searched on this forum for 'htc home plugin' or 'htc weather' and get many hits. But I still can't get it to work. I must be missing some very basic skills here, something that's not being explained because it is so obvious... like switching on the phone (I did THAT!)
Please help this idiot.

Hello all
I have two questions I have not been able to locate answers for on the forums, so I put the call out to you. [WM6, Schap's ROM 3.62]
When using Schap's Advanced Config tool to change the animation/add a sound file, the sound file does not play. I have listened to the sound on my phone, so I know it is working. Did I do something wrong?
Also, are there any WM6 dialer skins out there besides that Kaiser-style one [black with the little white numbers]? I have not been able to find any no matter how I search for it.
Any assistance would be appreciated!

I picked the blue one, it matches my theme very well.
Is it me, or do the threads associated with modding the taskbar get really confusing, really quickly?
Talk of sdkcerts, dlls, etc etc, threads getting edited and changed for good reason, but I'm just confused! I'm no numpty, I've been around pdas for years, but I find this impenetrable.
Any chance for a step by step from start to finish on what to do - or is it not that simple? I'd imagine it'd be sensible to point out the different gubbins that need to be tweaked for vga and qvga.

first of all, please forgive if i misplaced this post, but I don't even know if there are keywords to search about what I need..
I'd like to customize on my very own the clock of a manila 2.5 (got the last official firmware upgrade from htc for my touch pro 2, with sense in it). I also like SPB mobile shell but the point is the same: which file I have to edit, are those fonts or just bmp of digits? Have I got to pack it somehow? It doesn't really matter if I have to edit on sense or spb, as long I get a way to do it
I found lotsa themes for every platform but not a single word on how they did it.
I've got my idea for a mod of mine, where to start? Thanks in advance and again sorry if that's not the best place for the topic.
