Error 262 while flashing HardSPL

Hi,
I'm using a T-Mobile MDA. The SPL version displays as follows:
HERM300
IPL-1.00
HERM300 MFG
SPL-1.01
I tried to flash the HardSPL V7 but failed with error 262. Tried to falsh the HardSPL V6 - failed with the same error.
Tried another desktop computer - no help
Hard reset the MDA - no help
I got the error 262 every time.
Could anybody kindly help point me a way to bypass the error 262?

copy on microSD card "SSPL-HERM.exe"
run from hermes this file
phone reboot to BootLoader menu
connet to PC
be patient......please wait......
On A_S window click CANCEL
run RUUWrapper.exe, select "Force Using SSPL"

htc touch pro2 t-mobile
I have tow T-Mobile USA Touch Pro2, in the first one i put the hardspl and it work,than i put the Rom without any problems,but in the scened one i got the message windows updating the rom image in your pda phne....... 0% and after 10 min of waiting i got the message Error [262]: update error.I cant flash my phone with the hardspl to put a new ROM.
SPL 0.82.0000
ROM version 1.20,531.4(51986)WWE
Radio version 3.45.25.14

If you used the Hermes Hard SPL then you probably have a brick...
You need to use the Hard SPL for your model, touch pro II is DEFINATELY NOT a Hermes...

Do you know witch one for my phone? I have one i used for my first phone it s work good.

Ask these questions in the right forum, you don't have a Hermes...

And ask there your HTC is a htc pro hope is working ok, you have made one thing so so so so "#$$% gigig its censored... Hspl are device specific there isnt a general HSPL... go there and ask there please.
Some body there will have what you are looking for.

URGENT help on Hard SPL screen

Hello,
I executed the Hard SPL cab and went into bootloader or some sort of a multi colored screen which says IPL - 0.50 Trin100 and underneath it says SPL 3.03.0000. It connects to my computer and says USB but when I attempt to flash the new WM6 rom which I just downloaded from the rapidshare it resets the machine and continues to remain on this screen of multi colored stuff. I cannot seem to get out of it no matter what I do. What do i need to do to abort the multi colored screen or allow it to flash my HTC trinity with the Dopod WM6 rom?

How? I try to execute again the Hard SPL file and it gives me an error and says close window on PC.

it keeps giving me error in connection and i think i bricked my phone i tried to reinstall several times and i get the same results. Poor me.

Same hapen to me, then ive tried to instal over it a another rom and it came to life.

if you're in the bootloader already, try and run the RUU (update program) again on your pc after reconnecting your device.. if that doesn't work, please give details of the error. I don't think you're bricked yet

Thanks for your help. I get Error 260:
The update utility cannot connect to your pda. please check usb is connected. click exit to quit.
When I try to run the upgrade alone in XP it starts at 1% then resets the bootloader.

k which upgrade are you running? still trying to get hard spl working, or running the Dopod WM6 upgrade?

I am trying to upgrade the
RUU_Trinity_DOPODASIA_WWE_3.00.707.17_6275_1.46.00.11_108_Ship but i also tried to reflash the 1.23 HTC rom with GPS to see if it would flash since my device is an HTC trinity and not dopod but the same thing keeps happening.

Try to flash PDAVIET version, my came to life doing this

have you tried to flash any other ROM? I was stuck with the same thing, but managed to flash a cooked ROM..
what's your bootloader showing?
if you fail to flash any other ROM, i think you need to try the stack overfow exploit posted here.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=308691&highlight=error+206
it's a bit technical, but i think it's your best bet if all else fails.. Pof might be able to help you over there

No matter what i do, what rom i try to flash i get the same damn error message: Error 260 - Connection!!! I am connected so I don't what is wrong with it. I will try some more then decide to take a hammer and break it into 1000 peices.

hmmm... i'm not familiar with that SPL number... unless somehow that got halfway updated with the WM6 update.
I think you better head to that thread and try the stack exploit. Did you try loading a cooked ROM to see what happens?

that is it. i give up. i am not experienced in messing with codes. i am going to retire the device for good and use a regular phone. this is crap. thanks for ur help.

oh, that is the SPL version of the new ROM... i guess you weren't using hard spl when you tried to flash it?
ha, well don't give up too quick.. that's one expensive retired device you've got there.

Just keep cool and you should try to install an official Rom to downgrade this SPL !!

Help!
My bootloader is showing the following:
Trin100
IPL-1.00
Trin100
SPL-9.99.CP
When upgrading with the new released WM6 ROM, it keeps failing at 28%
Please help!

best bet for you, is load a different ROM now. Either cooked or official. That will get your device out of crash-proof spl bootloader.
Once the ROM is loaded, if you want to try the official wm6 again, run SSPL first and see if it'll work for you

Hi Gilbert,
Im having exactly the same problem as you. Right now im in the middle of flashing it back down to WM5 (its working at the moment at 17%).
Hopefully after this i will be able to flash back to WM6 (Most probably will go back to AX3L for now).
Hope this helps you out (im quite stressed about it too!)
Edit: I have just finished flashing to Official WM5, now flashing back to AX3L WM6. It works!

diamond won't upgrade to 1.93 hspl

I have a gsm diamond (from t-mobile uk) and have flashed it to 1.34 hspl to use the new 25.16 radio and dutty's v3.1 both are working fine however I can't *upgrade* (i know it's not an upgrade per se) to hspl 1.93. it's stuck on 1.34.
using customruu it goes through the normal motions and on screen shows it to 100% then restarts etc, but after i check by going into the bootloader it hasn't updated. I have looked about and search for some time now and don't see anyone expericencing quite the same thing.
any ideas??

I have the exact same issue... I tired updating it from 1.24 to 1.93 and it restarted like it updated it. But when I go into boot loader its still got the old hardspl.
Does anyone know why??
I have tried searching around for a solution but no luck

I'm no noob and i've flashed 100's of times across many fones and unbricked a few with some careful reading but this seems very odd and stupidly simple. No idea what i'm missing.... only thing i can think to try is to flash from internal storage, but i would think this unwise with the hardspl as I thought hardspl would control access to the internal storage like some sort of bios perhaps?!

HSPL blocks write attempts to the SPL-part of the nand! You need to run SSPL from windows mobile and then flash the HSPL-Version you want. This is pretty much the only way to override that write-protection!

i have almost same problem but the only difference that my Diamond don't have hardspl on it and whenever i try to flash any hardspl phone stops at 0% and stays there for a long time....I want to change my Diamonds language...So can anyone suggest me solution.....I have already posted here on forum but no answer yet!

Another little question that how i can flash hardspl via internal storage and where its root???Root is the device path which we seen as drive in computer when we use mass storage or any other?

Hi everybody,
got yesterday another diamond, after mine died some time ago. It has 193 spl and I cannot upgrade to olinex spl. It runs through everything, but upon reboot it still has the original 193 spl. Any ideas? I really need to flash, mine speaks Dutch and I want it in English. Please help. Kind regards. Ben

ive first flashed it whit the olinex 1,34 RUU_Signed.nbh i think its called then i try to flash whit the bsb6 that i want as as my new rom but when it has resetet the device and starting the updating of rom, it freezes at 0%
is there somekind of unlock i still need ? ive read about some hardspl wich i tried but .. it runs thourg the first thing, then the bootloader thing it get to 15% then my device freezes ... what do i do ??

Try flashing Olinex 1,39 instead of 1,34. That should solve your problem.

I Am having a Touch Diamond,Wanted the have the latest sense 2.5 Rom on it ,
Did the 1.30 olinex hard Spl and tried to flash the sense rom via both the internal storage method (Hung At Loading..)
And custom Ruu method( hung at 0%)
So Anybody knows Whats Going on?

firstly you need to update hardspl, some would say you should use olinex 1.39 for myself i found 1.40 .. so i guess it makes no diference. after that you are free to go with brick.... errr .. flashing your phone

Yea, I think i Did the HardSpl 1.40 but it shows 1.30 olinex on the tricolor boot loader screen...
And i cant flash any ROM...Dont know why?

probably if it says 1.30 that flash was not success.
if you havent found a solution yet, pm me, and will send the 1.40 i used to tickle my phone.
