Hi all,
A while ago I posted a message about my Bluetooth trouble with my GPS device.
I've narrowed things down to my bluetooth (either the settings, the hardware or the stack). I know for sure that there's nothing wrong with my GPS device...
The following happens:
-I turn on my phone
-I switch on Bluetooth using the Comm Manager
-I pair my GPS device
-Launch Tomtom or Route66 or Google Maps or any other GPS software I've tried
-It works perfectly for a few minutes
-Then suddenly I get the message 'GPS device not found'
-When I quit the application, I still can see the Bluetooth icon in the top bar of my homescreen
-When I enter the Comm Manager there's a red cross in the bluetooth icon, and trying to turn it on doens't work
-The blue light still blinks!!!!
-I can't enter the bluetooth settings, the device gets stuck (it hangs) for a few minutes
The only thing that works is resetting the device (turning it off and on again)
It happened in WM5 and it still happens in WM6!
Does anyone have a clue???
Sorry for my xxxth post on this subject, but I'm pretty much desperate!
TIA!
This May Help You!

Ok, girlfriend try this [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\BTProfile] "ON"= dword:00000001 -> 0 if off! BTProfile is the new key! Babygirl, give it a shoot!

I've tried to edit my registry an add the key, but I find PHM registry editor quite confuding, so maybe I've added a wrong key or value...
So far, no succes, but I'll try another registry editor to check my editing skills!
I'll keep you posted!

Or try Total Commander!
I have tomtom 6 on my dash with other tweaks to run it.
Go into the settings click on the "Power Management" scroll down to the "Display Time Out" and choose NEVER and then go to the "Home Screen" settings for the "Time Out" choose NEVER also. Hope this resolves your issue.
Another issue could be due to your dash/s620 not being App Unlocked.
Thanks for your reply. I'll try it first thing in the morning!
BTW, do I have to apply the app-unlock again after upgrading the ROM?

i have to use a program called fake cursor and i enabled the jogg bar feature, fake cursor acts like a virtual mouse cursor so i can type in the address, choose options etc. i can use majority of the menus without it but you do need it some times, since tomtom is more for touch screen devices anyways. the joggbar i use mainly for the shortcut for the fakecursor. the bottom touch shortcut is set for the fake cursor app and the top shortcut is either tomtom or as mine is set to the fake cursor menu so i can disable it when im done.
So did it work? Another suggestion that might help, when I installed tomtom on my dads ppc and i couldnt get the blue2th gps recvr to sync properly, got really frustrated... I figured out that the my dash was the culprit, turn off any blue2th devices near you and then it worked instantly.
I posted a screenshot (post #10) to verify if I added the right settings. If I did it right, they didn't work!!
The disconnection of the bluetooth connection also appears when I'm in my car, and the only bluetooth devices there are my HTC and my GPS.
Thanks for your suggestions! I'm getting pretty desperate by now. The only thing I can try is using a different GPS device.
I'll keep you guys (& gals?) posted!
Yesterday I still used display switch icon in my Blackstone, this morning this icon has disappeared. I found its' link in Programs, but it hasn't worked. In windows I can't find display switch.exe or .lnk. I have used softreset many times and nothing improved. I don't like to perform hardreset because I installed too many programs in HD.
Please help me find file display switch.exe or the same or may I can use other softwares to screen off ?
Thanks everybody,
I have just resolved this problem.
First, I knew icon display switch (DS) having screen off function that related to file psshutXP.exe so whenever file psshut.exe was moved to other location, DS with old link couldn't find psshutXP.exe and DS didn't work !!. When file psshutXP.exe was moved to former location, DS has normal screen off function again.
Second, I have found 2 tiny softwares have screen off function. They are "Screen Switch" and "Black me" but now I 'm using Screen Switch. With one of them we can save HD power when play music.
Hi guys
A few days ago I had a problem with my TP2 in that if would auto power off after 30 secs. No matter what settings were changed, it would continue to power off after 30 secs, no matter whether it was running on batteries or AC. This also occurred in TomTom, which you can imagine wasn't very helpful!
I also had the same problem with my old TYTNII, and seems to occur after installing WMiFiRouter 1.50.
After searching forums and doing general Google searches it looks like many other people suffered the same issue, but no-one seems to have found the solution, or at least recorded it. (I appologise if this has been mentioned before, I honestly couldn't find any mention of the solution anywhere).
Anyway - on to how to fix it...
It's a very simple registry fix - under "HKEY CURRENT USER > Control Panel > Power" simply change the Display Value to 0. That's it! All done
(For the noobs out there - You'll need a registry editor to do this - I personally use SKTools, but Resco etc. will all work just as well - I also like to use Mobile Remote Registry which is easier if you're sync'ed to your PC - Just do some searches on this forum and you'll find links to loads of registry editors)
I hope this helps any of you guys suffering from this irritating problem.
thx for the tip but unfortunatly i cant see power in the control panel
any other way ?
no such problem so far, thanks for sharing, great post.
Hi tnt23
If you are experiencing this problem and you have no Power Key under Control Panel in HKEY_CURRENT_USER, you could attempt to create the Key yourself...?
The 'Power' Sub Key needs to be created under Control Panel and Display is a DWord Value with a value of 0...
I find it sort of ironic that every time I have to reboot/shut down the Honor 7x the Bluetooth doesn't turn on when I restart the phone. If I forget to manually do it, my watch doesn't sync, etc. etc. The irony is that the last few phones I had made it impossible to turn OFF Bluetooth, it always turned back on in a second or so.
Anyone else see this or know of a reason or fix?
I think I fixed this one, not an issue specific to Huawei or Honor apparrently...
While the setting seems to be in different places, it is called "Bluetooth Scanning" on the Honor 7x. The description says "Improve location by allowing system apps and services to detect Bluetooth devices at any time".
With that setting enabled, bluetooth would always be off on a reboot. Turning that setting off allows me to reboot without losing bluetooth.
On the Honor 7X I found it using the search box in the settings, using "scanning" as the search term. It is under "Security & Privacy", "Location Access", the three dot menu in the upper right "Scan settings".
Hmmmm....?

First Of All.. Glad You Found A Solution That Worked For You...
But something else may be going on with your device.
Your post intrigued me... so I duplicated your situation.
Indeed, my setting under Security & Privacy / Location Access / 3 Dots / Scan Settings / Bluetooth Scanning was set to "Disable" by default since it's my first time there.
So... I did a Reboot and Power Off with the setting still Disabled... and my Bluetooth was still Enabled upon powering up.
But Also... After I "Enabled" Bluetooth Scanning, and did a Reboot and Power Off.. my Bluetooth was STILL enabled upon boot..
I just wanted to let you know, you may have other issues going on.. but hey, if you have it working to your satisfaction.. you're good.. :good:
P.S.
I don't know if you have rooted.. my device is completely stock..
Hello, i had a similar pb on my Honor 7 and a friend of me on P10 Lite. After "plane mode" or reboot the BT didn't power ON even if it was ON before.
I've tried this solution on my HONOR 7 and he tried on his P10 Lite... Now everything is working again. The BT will power ON if it was ON before the action.
So big TY !
Hi Guys,
Does anyone use "Tasker" on the "Mi 9 SE" (MIUI 10.3.1)? On my older phones Tasker ran and I had automated that when I'm at home (near the radio cell), the WLAN turns on. "Tasker" tells me that I should confirm that Tasker is allowed to turn on the WLAN. But this should happen automatically and without demand. Maybe someone has a tip?

Okay, i found some permissions in the packetinstaller.
If you want to furn off the questions about "turning on/off WIFI", then you must set the correct permissions.
It was my mistake, thread can be closed ...

why not using IFTTT? i think that for your purpose it's simpler
