does this taskbar work with gyrator? with other taskbars there are problems when going into landscape.... tried several and all got that problem...
sometimes it works a few hours and after that i experience the same problems...

it seem have no problem.... i haven't this problem in landscape, even after 3/4 days with no reset

For the ones asking for a translated version: This is not needed, it uses your normal phone language.
I have a small problem with your great blue top-bar - every icon is displayed correctly except the signal icon in idle mode which is seemed to be WM default icon (without 3D satellite antenna). Switching to airplane mode or dialing brings correct signal icon from blue top-bar.
Reinstallation doesn't help
Any thoughts?
P.S. I suppose for English version it should be notify.dll.0409.mui not notify.dll.040C.mui Am I right?

is you phon is CMDA ? if yes, signal icon use CDMA_RSSI_PPC.dll file
And i can't creatr it, because my phone is GSM, i don't have CDMA_RSSI_PPC.dll

This dll is just for the alarm icon. You can rename notify.dll.040C.mui to notify.dll.0409.mui. It should work fine.

No, it's not. At least I think so - I got it from Expansys and I'm in EU. Which dll is responsible for signal icons in non-CDMA version?

In fact, in not CDMA phone, color of signal icon can't be change :-(
I've asked question in some forums, and all respond me white color of signal icon is the same white from wm6 background.

I'm afraid you got me wrong.
I want your signal strength icon with colored 3D satellite antenna and white bars (picture on the left) but not default WM signal strength icon (picture on the right) what I get. Everything is fine with your icon set on my phone except the signal strength icon
the icon in white problem you get i think when you change your start menu icon. If you keep the default then everything works i think. I got the same problem when using other colored top bar icons. This time i only installed the cab and didn't touch the start menu icon. Now the signal icon is correct.

Try to put shellres.192.dll attached file manually in window directory
make a backup of file before ;-)

I've installed an earlier series of your icons (from V1.50, I think) on my Polaris (P3650)
Only QVGA, so not as pretty, but they work fine and present much better than the bog-standard ones in most ROM's. They consume very little Storage, of course
Great work! Nice.
The whole set was re-compiled to avoid conflicts but I am glad to hear they also work in the Polaris

If so... how did you get reshacker to open the bitmaps inside the dll?

You need PE Explorer to edit shellres
But it is basicaly the same (R1, R2...8 and R2...10) at least regarding icons and dialogs

It opens the file and makes it easily editable.
But when sending back to the phone it messes up the icon order and it's not working.
When skimming through the dll there seem to be some icons that do not work ..
any idea how/why this is possible?
have attached the original and my version to see if it makes more sense to somebody else..

1- Did you unsign -> edit -> sign the DLL ??
2- Do you have your registry tweaked to re-route batt & signal icons to phcanOverbmp.DLL ??
3- Is you phcanOverbmp.DLL stock or has modded icons inside ??
(phcanOverbmp.DLL icons will override shellres.192.DLL signal/battery icons and other)
4- Have you installed any program which adds HTCvolumecontrol.DLL ??
(HTCvolumecontrol.DLL is NOT presnent on stock Xperia, but it will override your shellres.192.DLL Speaker icons)
5- Sure your cooked 32x32 @ 32 bits icons into your new DLL ??
Double check and tell me what happens

Yup...it's in itjes 4.0 rom... does this only effect the speaker icons? (don't care to change those..)

the windows icon seemed to be 41x41 pixels when exported

Yes the start icon is different, but after many many hours of frustrating trial and error tests I can give you a hint:
Better make it 41x36 or it won't look OK
As an example, here I let you my own START logo for the upcoming "X" series "standard" version (non-SE) - It MUST be 41x36 to display properly

I really like your X Series. I'd suggest that you make a SE and Standart version like the one you made in Beta 3. I love this blue / silver windows logo.
If you consider making more versions with "more detailed & colourful icons" ... I really like the combination of blue and silver. Blue battery and earth from Beta3 were great .

I like indeed the blue windows logo :>. You could go with a SE logo version and I take the windows one .
It's just the question if gtrab wants to make several diffrent cabs with just one new icon (start logo). Alternatively we could replace the icon ourselves if gtrab publishes them and tells us what to do . They are not in the current ICO package, aren't they?

Pretty simple, just remove VistaHide and soft reset.
Tried the icons, the animation is great, the icons look good, maybe smaller than I thought.
What I would like:
1. Green SE start icon and bouncing SE wait icon included. I overwrote the shellres.192 file but I would prefer it to be integrated in your cab.
2. Red battery when low.
3. Move the signal bars up not to overlap the icon border. Or if you can't do that, cut the border where the signal bars will be displayed. It will look nicer.
4. Bigger battery icon without the numbers.

SO it might be better to this icon differently without the boarder? or just make a change to the icon and remove the bottom bar

I bet you use manila volumecontrol which overrides the speaker icons
If you can Send me the file HTCVolumecontrol.dll I can skin it too

Same here, cannot install.
Also here. tried installing v1.1 but gives "installation unsuccessful" error.

The problem is NOT the taskbar button, but the missaligned battery icon
As a consolation price, let mee tell you I MADE THESE ICONS PREPARED TO SUPPORT 5% BATTERY INCREMENTS !!! Just add ethermind's driver and voila
PS: The new version will get 1% increments and ethermind's power drive included

Update: 25/04/2010 Sorry everyone due to my current heavy workload, I just don't have the time to focus on this, so with that in mind I'm putting development on HOLD until I have ample free time to resume again!
In the mean time if anyone else want's to continue development with this please feel free to do so!:
Update 15/02/10: Ok guys after putting up the screenshot of the V6 Final with the new battery icon, I can see some of you don't like it therefore I have decided to attach V6 TEST 5 so that you can actually see how the icons really look on the device because IMHO the screenshot doesn't do justice to the new battery icons!
If after V6 TEST 5 the general consensus is that the new battery icon is a NO, then for the Final release I will revert to the V5 Battery Icon and the numerical battery icon!
Also this time when you install the V6 Test 5 cab the START text will be displayed, if you don't wont that then install attached NO START Text patch!
P.S> This is only for GSM not compatible with CDMA!
Although V6 is for HD2 users, I think it should be compatible for any WVGA Devices using WWE ROM's so it should work on Touch HD, TP2 and Diamond 2.

P.S. For those who have the battery percentage not in sync with your notification manager i.e. there is a discrepency of 1% then do the following:
go to registry HKLM\Security\ResOver\Bitmaps and change the DWORD value of "BatteryIconsLevels" from 101 to 102 and soft reset, battery level will now be in sync with system battery monitor orinstall the attached cab fix!
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS ONLY FOR WM 6.5 ROM's SO WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY ON WM 6.1 ROM's! FOR WM 6.1 get Spikes excellent taskbar here: Spike's ~ 6.1 MicNeo TaskBar Varients

Known issue with some ROM’s when installing this taskbar:
The start logo, signal and other icons do not change this is because this taskbar works well with WWE ROM’s that call on the taskbar file shellres.192.dll in windows folder for these icons, if you are using a ROM that calls on shellres.192.dll.0409.mui if it’s English ordepending on the language you have on your ROM that 0409 number could be different example 0410 etc...then not all the icon’s will change!!!
This can be fixed after installing this taskbar go to windows folder of your device and you should see these 2 files shellres.192.dll and shellres.192.dll.0409.mui first rename shellres.192.dll.0409.mui toshellres.192.dll.0409.mui_z andthenrename the shellres.192.dll to shellres.192.dll.0409.mui in the windows folder of your device using either Total Commander or Resco File explorer soft reset that should do the trick! If this sounds complicated then post here with the name of that file in the windows folder of your device example shellres.192.dll.0409.mui or whatever it is then I can post a cab fix here!

As I use WM 6.5 Rom on my HD so sorry this version of Brians Taskbar is only for WM 6.5 ROM so will not work Dutty's WM 6.1 v3.3, the taskbar .dlls files on WM 6.5 are different from WM 6.1!!
I'll see if I still have the old Brians WM 6.1 Taskbar Icons on my laptop no promises but I'll try to fix the icons and will post it here!

Ok piccolopunto I managed to find the old Brians WM 6.1 Taskbar files and have edited the Start, OK and X buttons! not 100% sure if it will work so can you please test and report back! many thanks!

Thanks for testing it! just want to clarify does it install ok and you get graphic icon errors? or it just does not install at all?
Sorry piccolopunto if I was using a WM 6.1 rom I know I could get to the root of the problem and fix it!!
I would recommend you to try a WM 6.5 rom trust me it's now a lot stable then a few months ago it's comea long since then! I'm using miri's v14 wm 6.5 with no problems at all and this is someone who would religously would use only Dutty's ROM's on a daily base not to long ago!!

Install
1. Ok first, if you do not already have it installed, install No Curtains, you don't have to but I recomend it.
2. Install the Touch X startmenu transparent BG, this will make the startmenu fully transparent (looks realy good with this theme)
3. Install the Theme cab
4. If you like to use the HQ Wallpaper install the HQ cab
5. Set the Dark Woman Pic as Wallpaper for both Home and lockscreen
(6. May need to softreset)

tried this, the clock works now but i'm still getting the standard black icons for notifications. Where should you put the png's? in the windows folder?

what do you mean by "more color" this is supposed to be a black and white theme.
if you have an idea for a colorfull theme show me a wallpaper i could use.

you shouldn't do anything with the png's exept create manila files off theme
you have to copy the manila files of the notification icons into the windows folder. (you can't use the normal explorer for that, use Totalcomander)
if it still doesn't work, try my other notification theme link in my signature

Great theme, but having two problems. The top bar hasn't changed (not transparent) and the bottom windows bar (Phone/Menu bar) hasn't changed either. Anyone else seeing problem with those or have any ideas why it's not working for me?

1. Have you softreset after installing the theme cab?
if you didn't do so else or if the problem remains
2. check with total comander what's the value of:

Checked the registry values and they were the default ROM values. I checked my windows folder I do not have HDWall_taskbar.png nor HDWall_softkeybar.png. Which cab is suppose to install those? Any way you could provide me with the two .png files and I'll just manually set them? Oddly enough, lockscreen and startmenu look like they should (except the background is not HQ like the background in manila...not sure if that's normal).

You have to softreset after installation.
