I'm living in China and I have a lot of files with name in chinese, and I can not copy them to my HD!!, is there any way to do it?

install chinese font will do...

and install the file droid.cab. That will give you the chinese characters on your HD. It work fine on my HD.
Copying a file with chinese characters, maybe the problem is not in your phone, but in your PC?

When I edit some MUI files (from SPV C550), for example "tshres.dll.04XX.mui" it looks ok... but not in phone.... it shows sometimes some mistakes like the one on the attachment I have uploaded.
Maybe someone knows how to fix it? It hapens only on few files but they are necessary to finish a langpack I create

Are you editing on your computer and then uploading it to the PDA (the normal way of developing apps)? If so then it has to do with your font & language pack. Your computer has probably got your languages of choice installed, and you also probably have the appropriate fonts on it as well - but are they on your PDA? If not, then that would explain the box that appears once you port it to the PDA (which basically just indicates that the font that is installed on the PDA does not have that particular character for that language). I don't know how you could overcome this, except to take your computer font and convert it/import it to the PDA. Hope that helps!

The phone supports all Polish characters... this is not because of this....
It happens even when I open the original english mui file and just save it in ResHacker (or any other program).

I upgrade my phone with an english rom, i found that my time zone(country) excluding in the rom. How could i add it manually???
for example(1):i can't found "traditional chinese(big5)" in the regional setting, how could i add it by myself?? using registry editor or re-edit the rom file??
e.g.(2)：When i use some software, which can be selected region(like lation(xxx),US(xxx),Traditional chinese(xxx)......). with older rom, the software will show me "traditional chinese(big5)" selection, but the new doesn't. I had this problem in using mToken, if you used this software, you might know what i mean.

U probably be the one asked in Mobile01 too. Basically, U need to replace the wince.nls (use Resco Explorer if you don't know how to cook rom) from Chinese Rom. But you also need to put Chinese font under /Windows (or /Windows/Fonts) to displace Chinese

I had already replace chinese wince.nls with the eng rom, and put the mingliu.ac3(chinese font) to /windows. I know the process to display chinese in a eng rom. And my phone can show chinese correctly.
My problem is not the "chinese display" question. I found the eng rom didn't include "chinese tradiotional" in the "regional setting". Of course, I can set clock to taipei, but the regional setting(地區設定) is lack of chinese traditional.
finally, i get rid of it. It is wince.nls problem.
I don't know why I could use it all right before but now.
After re-install wince.nls , the regional setting is ok.

I have purchased this Asus P320 from france thinking that it would be a dodle to change the language to English, just a simple swap of roms. But it seems alot more complicated than that, I have read an earlier post which gives me an idea of how to change the roms but this was for chinese to french. It wont seem to work getting it to go from French to english. Any Ideas on what to do?
A little info on what rom I think it has at the moment (original rom)

Asus has released new roms encrypted.
The real problem is the decrypt program (included in download) starts verifing the right version and language...
To solve this problem you need someone with english version that starts decrypting and copy the new file. With this file you can start flash directly.

OK, I can only faintly understand what you mean, Is there any names for these folders/files which I need .
Also, is there anyone reading this who has the english version

In this version, the file autorun.exe doesn't check version!
You must use the autorun.exe extracted from chinese file and 850_GAX_SD_enc.bin you want.
Put all in your SD in 2577 folder and play!!!!

Hi, I can not find the right file on the asus support web. They have most recent CHT version only. Can you please post the correct "autorun.exe" file?

OMG! Thank you so much! I've been searching for an easy way to get Chinese font on my TP2. This works great. My Chinese and Japanese MP3's are now readable. No more square "text".

I just noticed that my date/time is now in Chinese. Is there a way to keep that in english?
I assume the cab is making the necessary fontlink and registry changes to switch the system font.
Newbie here so please bear with me if my question seems off but I've been reading here and google for the past few hours and still couldn't figure out on the installation instruction.
Here's the installation instruction from the download folder:
1. Copy wince.nls into /windows Directory.
2. Install Chinese Cab, Do Not Restart
3. Integrate the registry file
4. Restart.
I have installed SPL and copied the #1 wince.nls file into the windows directory but am now completely lost on #2 as there's no .cab file from the download folder?
About #3, how do you integrate the registry file?

Friends, here I bring a breakthrough ... install the architect to achieve predictive Spanish (rom is for those with no alternative in English language).
It is very simple, install the xap (need to have the phone unlocked), after installing the program will touchexplorer to my ringtones folder and rename the file, sticking out the extension. wma
would file this name: dictionary.0409.dat I cut and pasted in the windows folder of the phone (asking whetheryou want to replace and say it did) .
Restart the phone and ready ... the Spanish dictionary ...
I can pick up other languages, but for now only supported by windows ...

The languages that I can add in this way are: English, French, Italian and German but that contribution is Spanish. Are those 5 for now ..

When I've explored the windows folder (with touchxplorer), and there are only two files with the name dictionary...-> one ...0407... and other ...0809... but not ...0409... The application installs the folder / My Rintones / if you do not have is not correctly fitted. Has the phone unlocked? chevron to use it?
Hello again. Thanks for your answer. Yes the phone is unlocked with chevron and the folder name is 'My Device/My Documents/My Ringtones' (in the phone). But the problem is I don't have the archive 'dictionary.0409.dat' in the windows folder, I have 'dictionary.0407.dat' and 'dictionary.0809.dat' (maybe english and german), when I install the aplication the archive 'dictionary.0409.wma' isn't copied in the phone, nothing is copied... After installing the application, go to the menu of installed applications and CHEVRON RINGTONE appears and you click on ... doing that you add the file to the specified folder.

rename the file, but that time the numbering indicates the language that replaces ... In your case you can rename the 0407 or 0809
example, the renamed file change 'dictionary.0409.dat' for 'dictionary.0407.dat' and overwrites
Now it works fine, I have english and spanish (instead of german). Thanks a lot

Hi all, having some problems here...
when trying to deploy the app using the developer tool, get a message of phone to registered on market place or some thing like that, have tried to register the phone using the registration tool on win developer and doesnt work.
did you all had to register phone in order to load XAP files? is there a walk around?
I will try the windows phone device manager, cause i'm having probs on this PC.
Any help will be much appreciated
