Cingular 8125 HELP!!!

Okay I need some major help. During an exhaustive search to find out why my Cingular 8125 does not have BT Stereo capabilities I found this forum. According to a couple of threads the v2.17 ROM Upgrade should fix this issue. Well I ran the upgrade and not only do I still not have the wireless stereo, but under my device information....my ROM version is showing 1.8.11.1 WWE....NOT 2.17. I dont know what to do......does anyone have any ideas? In addition I cannot find a thread that tells me how to unlock my SIM. My model number is WIZA100.

As far as the ROM flashing goes - I had a similar problem where the OS ROM wasn't updating. Mine was from one summiter ROM version to another, but I found that flashing back to the original Cingular ROM (using summiter's stock 1.8 Cingular ROM) and then flashing with the 2.17 ROM worked.
Thanks CameronJ....so, did you run the add on seperate from the ROM upgrade in order to the A2DP working? According to summiter, the 2.17 upgrade was supposed to include the A2DP. Ah well....I will try the addon and see if that works for me. Thanks again.
I actually don't really care about A2DP - I don't use my phone for listening to music - so I can't help you with that question unfortunately.
Same issue
I have the same problem but doing as you said did not correct it. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Your problem is with the OS upgrade not taking? Are you sure that you have unlocked your phone? What's your current OS version?

A Question to all GURUs regarding Radio ROMS

Dear All senior members of this forum,
i'm confused in understanding the areas taken care by updating the RADIO ROM of UNIVERSAL. can anyone just list down the benifits for updating a radio rom.
i want to make sure if one has to stay updated with the latest radio rom available of would the stock radio rom (Mine 1.09.00) stays fine forever.
looking forward,
farhaan rehmani
hi farehmani, I'm not a guru nor a senior member. But from what I understand.. updates radio ROMS are musch like the same as updated sortware. It has fixes for old problems like bad reception, low quality call audio... stuff like that.
But from what I've heard, the best radio for you also depends on your carrier/location... so just try all of 'em out. See which works best for you... you can easily change radio ROM versions anyway (no need to do hard reset, a soft reset is enough).
I would say, "if its aint broken, don't fix it"
Generally, the latest radio ROM gives you better reception, better sound quality. There are some people on this forum, who had problems with their device with respect to the latency of their devices in answering the calls. Most of them got it resolved by upgrading their device to the latest radio(ATM, the latest one is 1.15)
So, the bottomline is that if you facing problem(s) with your device regarding its phone part, the, you may consider upgrading the radio
thanx but i have another question...
Thanx for answering,
i asked this question cuz since i updated my pda with Jwrightmcps's ROM 2.02.00 WWE. i am unable to send MMS (there is no problem in settings) as it keeps the mms in the outbox with a pending sign of clock on it after uploading 95 or say 99%. secondly i was unable to sign in the MSN Live with this.
i used Radio 1.13.00. Could this be the problem. cuz i used 1.14.00 and 1.09.00 with previous versions of Win CE ROMS. they worked like a dream.
pls. advise.
farehmani.

the mms problem is not in the radio rom or Jw's rom. you just need to download the cab file with your operator settings and then you will be set.

I concur, it's not really the radio. It's either the WM6 ROM itself or you haven't got the correct settings.
i have read the wiki but still dont get it i can unrar jw newest rom just to get the radio only.but i have radio 15 from other source.how can i put it to my device?thanks

red button as well as "end" do not work after ROM update

Hi community - I updated to VP3G and now either the red button nor the end button finishes the call - this is bad - any idea what I can do ?

Tough to answer with any certainty without knowing more details. Could be your radio - I had that same problem with some radios. Since going with this ROM I have not had the problem. Also what apps do you have loaded?
Mark.
peter, it is something you have done as no one else has had this issue.
What radio? What software have you installed? Using a different Dialer? Hard reset?
We need more information besides "it doesn't work".
And as long as we're giving advice, this forum prefers possible concerns or issues be posted in the already available thread.
For example; if you're having problems with Black Majik, no need to start another thread, just post in the already available thread.
Thanks
Berd
Yes first I thought it is the radio so I switched to Radio 1.43 but the problem is still there. Now I found out it is more the case when I`m connected via GPRS that the button as well as the "end" software button dòn`t work ...
Applications which I use - no extra phon software, but magic button or the as follows: sk software, skype, sprite backup, webis etc.
It's your hardware controller card, gone bad. After some time all of your front button will stop responding. I had the same problem, sent to Dopod service center and got it fixed.
Its not any of ROM issues what so ever. Its a common defect of some earlier batch, as told by the techies at the Service Center.

Heh, I made the same assertion once and was told on no uncertain terms that I was wrong.
It seems that it is not the hardware because it is wonderful working when I`m not online with GPRS or 3G !
So what elese can I do ? Should I try another ROM or can I just install an updated file for the GPRS issue ?
PLs help
please remember this is a Dev forum and I believe you answered your own question try flashing another ROM and see if that fixes it. I have no idea about updated GPRS software - you mean a radio ROM? just flash another OS and see if that works its not a problem with 3Gvp's rom but maybe you had a bad flash

Hmmm... that's an interesting twist on the problem I've never heard before. I would suggest a) hard reset b) reflash my ROM c) flash another ROM. I'd probably also go with a Cingular version of the radio for now ... 1.40 or 1.48.
VP - shouldn`t I start with a new radio rom version before I reinstall your ROM ??? At the moment I`m using the 1.43 version
Up to you, but I thought you said you'd already changed radios. I'd probably go for the hard reset and see if it works before installing anything else.
Hi VP, your advice worked - I changed to ROM 1.48 and now when I dial the online connection is stopped and reactivated after the phon call.
THANK you so much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best regards
from Germany
Active Sync Error
VP - it´s again me - pls can you look at my problem: My Tytn is telling me -in the meantime several times a day -that I have to resynchronize and after I got the warning to resynchronize there comes the next warning that there is no IP number !

Hi,
Since I updated my HTC P3300 with different ROMs ..

Thanks aje,
I tried that one also but it did not work.
I tried also kulbutor patch (even if I do not have a orange M650)
but that did not fix in my case.
Could I have lost GPS features from a ROM flash ?
I am affraid I have to return it to the vendor ..

Try flashing it with the original ROM - moreover before you return for repairs - it has to be the original ROM - else the warranty will be invalidated.
Srry for dumb question maybe, buth i just succesfull updated to B&B4.3, buth now my tomtom gps is gone ? Must i install this manualy or something and where to find the installer then ? Thnx in advance

Hello,
Thanks for your advice. I reflashed with the orginal ROM (or at least the
WM6 I downloaded from HTC web site)
In the meanwhile I tried also SuperMimi_GPS_P3300.cab patch
as well all kind of port configuration .. but no way ..
Maybe it is stupid but I wonder when you flash the Rom ALL is new ?
Could some trace of other ROMs stay on the system ?

I don't think that this is possible: I had some little fix problem with the 2.1 Touch ROM, but now with the Spaghetti one, my GPS works really good.
Indeed it looks better than before the upgrade: now my P3300 fixes in a very little time, maybe 4 or 5 seconds vs. the old fix time that was about 25/30 seconds.
PS: Sorry for my English.

ARHD 6.0 tin audio not fixed with current fix for telus

Tryed the copy and paste fix on thread for sound file but still no fix anyone have any suggestions?
Seconding this. The audio fixes no longer seem to work--after flashing them the phone becomes completely sound-less.
Any help?
Is there no fix for this? The tinny audio is annoying, and I'd love to have something to fix it. I've scoured through the ARHD thread, but with so many posts, I haven't seen anything.
The 3.06 based ROM has the audio drivers set differently than previous ROMS. At least this is what I have been told. As the Telus HD is more related to the USA ATT inspire, you may want to check that section out for fixes.
