short cut to call log

is there a way to create a shortcut on the home screen to call log because 99% of my calls are from the log?
I hate that the phone app by default launches the dialer, like anyone ever uses that. ideally it should remember the last tab but it doesn't.
Activity name in Launcher Pro Activities is "com.sonyericsson.android.socialphonebook.callslist.RecentCallsListActivity"
I can use LauncherPro create shortcut for this
Default Launcher need other App for Creating shortcut
I've try "AnyCut" but not work
You could also try downloading life.contacts it uses a widget to short cut to your most contacted..
Sent from the Arc.
Recommend you should use dialer one instead of default
You will forget default fone quickly.
I will do that

[SLOVED] Galaxy Nexus change the default dialer?

How can I change the default dialler for SGN so I can use Dialer one or Go Contact EX? it wont come up with the action request pop up.
The phone icon in the launcher is actually a direct link to the phone app so you just have to replace that with your own chosen dialler app! in 2.x it was a link to the default phone app but in ICS it is different.
Hello mate
the problem with impossibility change stock ICS dialer by another one from third party is driving me crazy... I tried everything including factory reset and complete wipe. Always the bloody stock dialer come up when use any dialer from the market. Even if I swipped launcher and phone icon. Third party dialer itself works OK, but when dialing I get stock!!
kinldy ask all readers/users for help. To disable stock ICS original dialer that I hate!
Thanks guys
Ciao

[Q] Why no Memo Pad & Voice Recorder?

These are items found on virutally all phones sold in the past six years. My Samsung flip phone bought in 2006 had voice recorder and memo pad - are these items deemed unnecessary by Google?
Can anyone recommend good 3rd party apps?
I'd like to know also, very often I want to take memos but I haven't had time to look into it
To get the stock voice recorder, install Any Cut from Google Play, On the app, New shortcut, Activity, select Sound Recorder. You Sound Recorder shortcut created on your Home Screen. Recording files are saved as *.3gpp on /sdcard.

Third-party dialer with contact

Is there any third party dialer with contact that can show facebook status like the stock contact?
So far all dialers I downloaded like dialer one and exdialer can only show facebook profile pic but not status
And swipe to text and call is needed
thank you

FAQ from the website
I installed the app but the icon doesn't show up in my app tray. What can I do?
If this happens on your phone, the only solution we found was to use Nova Launcher because it has a feature that allows you to run a specific activity within an app. To set this up:
Within Nova Launcher, long-press on the home screen.Choose "Shortcuts"Select "Activities"Find "Google Dialer" in the list, then tap to open it up, and select "Phone" (use the first one in the list)
This will put a shortcut to the dialer on your home screen. At this stage, you can use this to access Google Dialer. It's not the cleanest solution, but it does work.
Can I disable my default dialer?
The short answer is no. As a general rule, you will need to keep your present dialer enabled in order to receive calls. The long answer is that on some phones you might be able to disable your stock dialer, but on others you definitely cannot. Feel free to try it on your own device and let us know what your results are.
(I disabled the first phone apk of the 2 that show up (flashing adds another one and I had it A-Z order))
EDIT: After disabling the APK, when I select "Call" the phone doesn't show any call screen whatsoever, and still has a call going, (mic works, and you can call, but the only way you can hang up is to leave the app and click the extended notification)
Again, this is all them!
