Pictures Needed - please help! - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

I have a BA and while doing myself a maintenance on it I screwed up two components which I couldn't identify what they were. Could someone post some hi-res pics of the mother board of the BA? What interests me is the area near the volume control switch for both top and bottom sides. After damaging this part of the circuit, the camera doesn't work anymore.
Please help.

Planning to take xda IIs apart.

I want to take my XDA IIs apart to see if it's possible to;
1) tighten up the keyboard slider mechanism.
2) make the 'stops' that hold the screen in the open position a little stronger. ie screen will not no easilly drop onto my thumbs while typing in bed.
Before I start I thought I'd open the idea up to the forum....Any advice please ?
There seem to be two sets of screws to play with, two T6? on the sides and two smaller screws on the back of the screen ( when opened ) which seem smaller. There are also three screws in the battery bay which I think are not related.
I'll take a few photos while I'm inside and post.
Jeff
That would be really useful as i am thinking of doing the same, mine is starting to loosen (tho o2 are being very nice to me at the moment and offering me a new one!)
dismantled my XDA IIs
ok the phone has been dismantled. You can see a few pics at the following URL.
http://www.photobox.co.uk/album/1081010
They will load full size if you click on them a few times.
I will update the pics later with some text. Some initial observations.
1) The slider 'rail' system is spot/heat welded to the phone body - pict 2291 - does leave alot of room for adjustment.
2) The mic is actually quite large - if the mic hole in the casing was larger I think the people-ask-me-to-speak-louder problem would be improved.
3) The clip that holds the phone in the open/closed position is rubbish - pict 2295 - I would say that if this clip was stiffer the slider mechanism would function much better.
sorry. point 1 should read...

Hi, if it's not too much trouble, could you enlarge the part where the volume slider is? Mine don't seems to have any latch where the silver button can catch onto (i.e when i fixed back the casing, the button is very loose and unable to adjust the volume no matter how much i slide it up or down). TIA!
Hi - if you click on the thumbnail you get a slightly larger version, if you then click on this you get a new browser windows which gives you the full 4 Megapixel size of 2304 x 1704 pixels which gives alot of detail. These are all the ( in focus ) pictures that I have. The phone has now been put back together.
When I click on a thumbnail I get a medium-sized image, but clicking on that does nothing. Is there another way for us to get the fullsize images?
Thanks!
Replace the screen
Now the IIs is open, have you considered replacing the screen with an ordinary II? Do the connectors look the same?
Ive been reading, and can now observe for myself that the IIs screen is more 'yellow' than the II.
Thoughts?
sorry about the delay. Download the full size pics here

They're 4.5Mb !
No plans to swap the screen. Quite happy with mine.
Kudos for your bravery! Please post your solution to tightening the slider. You will undoubtedly ascend to PPC demi-god status if you find a way.Excellent work! Keep us updated please.
Cheers!
the pics in the zipped are corrupted..... its not even 4.5mb... something is wrong with the file pls upload the files again thank you so much... after looking at the bigger pics then i will be able to see if the LCD can be replace....
wertert,
Yes, zip file is only 1.5 KB... please repost.
When you took the device apart, did you notice where the WiFi antenna was and if it could possibly be relocated? A lot of people are complaining about the WiFi reception in the Blue Angel and, chances are, it's due to the antenna design/placement/location.
Thanks!
sorry about that.....I've tried uploading again but I seem to get a problem. Even uploading the raw jpg files is failing. I think my web site allocation is full up ! Does anyone have an FTP site I could put these picture on ?
pics
ps - I can also email them over. Can you get an address to me ?
sorry about the delay. Uploaded to another site. You should be able to get them from;

thanks for opening up the PDA2K for us...
1) So how did you finally fixed the loose keyboard????
2) Also, can it be that people that got their keyboard too loosed
used a PDA2K case such as the PEIL FRAMA one?
That case has a large and rather thick plastic that covers the
keyboad and goes between the keyboard and the body, it seems like it may case the keyboard to be loosed after sometime.
Thanks

Did you make any modifications to the phone to improve the ability of the mic to pick up your voice?
Krusell case loosened keyb in 1.5 months
Yes sorci's right! The gap increased since I got my i-mate into such a case with a thick plastic cover over the keys. Everyday i notice it incresing. Loox like paranoia Well, what to do with the problem? Living in Russia I got no hopes for friendly product support. Have to solve it by means of a screwdriver and a hammer. Wish me luck, colleagues.

Blueangel Slider

Hi, i am trying to fix my Blueangel so that the slider stays put, it keeps going back down. I have seen a post about this before, but i cannot find it. Please if you can give me some aid, it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
With the circuit board out, there is a piece of plastic in the middle left hand side, this pushed into a groove when the slide is open and this needs to be bent slightly to make better contact in the groove to hold the slide up.
If you do not manage it, I sell replacement m2000 slides on ebay:

Note 2 - Fix buzzing, hissing, static headphone port not working. My attempt 2 fix

Seems there are many people in my situation....
You are not alone... and I hope to help....

Possible Fixes...
Hitting your phone with your knee... barbaric but works... for a few seconds... DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM
Buying a new headphone jack port.. get one on ebay for under 6 bucks. you will have a new headphone jack DOES NOT FIX PROBELM
Tightening screw on back of phone... this will temporarily fix
My theories and ideas... There are not enough screws in the area and not enough pressure to hit the contact points (grounds) that the phone sandwiches between the front and back of the phone.
When driving the slightest vibration, breaks that contact, causing the headphones to have static.
I need to something that would....
1. Can bridge that gap and carry a current...
2. a Buffer that will fill that small gap, and reduce vibration...
The fix Cut a small ribbon of aluminum foil,, fold that ribbon, over and over till you have a tiny square that will fit in the space pictured below. Poke a hole in the tiny square with a sewing needle, and make it wider with a tooth pick.
Now the screw that goes through this hole usually screws though the back of the case... were going to bypass the back of the case and scew this directly into that hole. With the hope of adding more pressure to the area and reduce vibration.

Is this fix still working for you? I have been trying to figure out this problem for a month now. The only reason I came across this post is because I did a generic search for headphones... Thanks so much for posting this. I thought it was the liquidsmooth rom because it did not start until after I flashed it.
Hi guys.
I just tried this fix with no success.
Maybe my problem is that I do need a new port.
But the worst part is that after assembling everything back together, my hardware buttons stopped working (home, back and menu)
Any clue on why, and how to fix it?
Thanks.

[Q] Replacement parts

Hello all I was wondering if anyone could help me in finding some replacement parts for my oppo find 7a. So what happened was the very tip of the 3.5mm audio jack on my POS headphones stuck in my phone while the rest of it came out. No matter what I did I couldn't get it out. It prevented me from making calls or obviously using the jack for headphones.
So I took it apart. I successfully removed it but in putting it back together the little button that actuates the power switch was not in place so I couldn't control the power button. I went back in and managed to break it off. One tiny little piece of plastic and the entire phone is now useless. So I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction of ordering a replacement part. I think I will have to order an entirely new little circuit board. I haven't found anything on Oppo's site, could anyone help me out?

I'd like to know this same information.
I have a bad usb/supply circuit board and i can't find any place to buy it.
Anyone who has got news on this? Myself, I am looking for a new cover for the camera (as in, the glass that is right above the lense sitting inside the back cover).
I found some parts on Ali Express (look for Original LCD Display +Digitizer touch Screen+frame by GD Technology Co., Ltd; the board's software unfortunately does not allow me to post full URLs yet).
In my case, I am not sure if the “frame” advertised above actually includes that little glass cover, or if there is an additional part I am looking for.

[Q] Dust in Camera Lens [SOLVED]

I know people run into this all the time with other phones, but I'm not sure how to fix it with this particular phone. I keep it in my pocket all the time and the little hole right beside the camera lens must be letting in pocket dust. The quality of the camera pictures are much lower and the camera has a hard time gauging light now.
Any one have any idea how to clean it out? I've tried blowing compressed air at various angles into the hole but it doesn't really help. Maybe disassembling the phone is the only way, but I haven't been brave enough to try it yet.
EDIT:
So fixing the problem was relatively easy, although it may void your warranty. You simply need to remove the two small T3 screws on the bottom of the phone and open the phone by pulling the phone open. There is a video demonstrating the disassembly (just search youtube or google for "Amazon Fire Phone Teardown Review" by iFixit Video). [remove spaces below for direct link, i'm a newbie so can't post links yet]
www . you tube . com / watch ? v = d5k-AWEeWqo
As you open it, there will be a small sticker that gets detached that proves to Amazon that you opened it and will likely void your warranty. If you are ok with that, you simply clean out the clear lens cover and reassemble by snapping the phone back together, starting with the top of the phone.
I have got the exact same problem. I don't know what to do. Picture quality is much lower, they are now a little bit overexposed and washed out.
I was thinking to send it back to warranty, but I don't know if it qualifies for warranty.
If you can open yours and clean your camera, please post instructions here.
Thanks
Edit:
I have just seen a Youtube video and it appears you only have to unscrew the two little bottom screws to remove the back cover.
I'm in the same boat after just a little over a month of usage.
Solved, see original post
Just did it. Worked perfectly. Make sure you take the SIM card out!!! I almost cracked the case trying to open it with the SIM card in. Cleaned the lens cover with a swab. Pictures are clear again. Yea!!
any permanent solution?
Cleaning the lens will be a temporary solution.
The dust will continue to enter inside when you keep your phone in your pocket..
Please let me know about a permanent solution for the same.
I m unable to use the fire phone's camera since then.
Any rubber piece to seal the entrance of the dust over the camera?? ???
