Ok I'd like it if one or more rom Developer/Cooker/Chef(Whatever) could assist me in creating a Rom for the HTC Diamond. I'll be attempting to modify the Following;
Boot Splash GFX
Manilla GFX
Media Player GFX
Comm Mgr GFX
Incorporating Tweaks as per other cooks.
I've got the WM6.1 Naked Kitchen but it looks like a hermes rom as it's available on the Hermes Forum.
Has anyone got a Diamond Kitchen?

Thanks I just tried to build me a rom from another custom rom but got stuck at the Diamond Splash Screen. Is this because the SPL boot loader is incompatible with that particular rom?
Or is it because I copied to the Memory and flashed via the phone method?
1st time I've tried that method.
I've recovered by going into the standard boot loader and re-flashing using software.

Okay, So I have seen a lot of posts latley in numerous rom threads about people having problems after flashing new roms.
Symptoms:
- Frozen Splash screens after:
* Flashing new rom
* Installing new apps after flashing new rom's
- Hard Resets after
* Flashing new rom
* Installing new apps after flashing new rom's
Solution: (download links and thread links listed at bottom of post)
I have expirienced these isues on multiple roms and have come to the concluion it has nothing to do with these rom makers compiling bad, non-compliant roms so don't be quick to blame them!
I am no expert but I am sharing what has worked for me in this order (the solution is simple and easy enough for newbies to carry out):
1. Flash a stock WM6 Rom from your carrier. (download links below)
2. Flash Hard-SPL (I use Olipro 2.10)
3. Flash new rom.
4. Optional: Flash desired radio.

*Notes: It is perfectly fine to flash WM6.1 over a sock WM6 ROM.
UPDATE: Was told by a member that also turning off the power saving feature for your storage card may solve the problems if the above doesn't work.

Didn't work for me either. I flashed back to official WM6 from HTC. This one works fine. I guess there is a problem with WM6.1 and Big Storage ROM feature.
Whats the background of flashing a Stock ROM first
I had a similar problem with a 6.1 ROM ( PDAVIET build 19400 version) last night - found the device unusable this morning- flashd a Schaps 4.31 at it works again now.
What is the reason for flasing a stock ROM first ? Do you thing that other ROMs leave some waste behind ?

New builds may not compatible with many softwares
I didn't encounter hardreset until recently build 199209, 199400, 199701. I often instal more than 20 softwares. It was often stuck when installing a programme or intensive use then softreset-->hardreset. I flashed back the last stable WM6.1 for my Hermes it was still error . Try methods above couldn't help me. Now, I am using a official WM6, everything returns normal.
So, I think that it is compatible problems.

Do you know where can I get new version of manila (from rhodium or topaz) which works? I'd like to get it in cab or in archive (rar or zip). I tried one of them for Xperia, but it works very, very slowy... I wouldn't like it in ROM becouse I wouldn't like to lose the guarantee.
I don't think anybody made rhodium or topaz manila cab... moreover such a cab will always be much slower and memory hungry than a cooked rom.
If you don't want to lose guarantee just install a rom using USPL, this won't change your HSPL. If you need to return the phone for repair it is very easy to revert back to original stock ROM just by flashing it from SD. All you need wroking is the bootloader mode, and if that's not working the guys from HTC service robably won't be able to find out what rom you have there also
Sp go ahead flash cooked ROM and you won't be able to recognize your phone. I flashed mine with duttys and kwbr's newest and it is much much faster and nicer than stock now.
I know, but I don't want to kill device for 2k zł. Maybe I'll upgrade stock ROM to cooked version of WM 6.5 if HTC won't show ooficial upgrade I've one more question for you on PM
Hey Guys, im having a v.strange problem, im trying to cook WM6.5 Build 21882 with Gen.Y TF3D v2.1. But the problem is that:
When my device boots and TF3D(cooked) is enabled on Today it would held on today and go no where.
When my device boots and Chome is enabled by default and i goto Today and enabled TF3D(cooked) then again my device restarts just a few seconds later
When i install TF3D from a CAB and run it on my WM6.5 TF3D would not go futher then the HTC logo showing Loading TF3D and wouldn't held this time either, just stuck there
Help please, never had this problem b4 packages work fine on the WM6.1 ROM of mine. Thnx in advance!!

how is that?? those OEMs run fine on the WM6.1 ROM so they should run fine on WM6.5 too :S
To Day I Hardspl And Flash New Rom For Touch Pro2 (Modify) That I Found In This Forum And I Notice After I Flash That Rom Build For Tilt2 (The Phone Signal Not Stable A Problem With Ram And Weird Problem About Hardware Keyboard ).
After I Use It And I Decide To Change To Another Modify Rom. I Found That I Can't Flash Rom. And Spl Change To New (Not Olinex).
I Try To Flash Olinex Again And Notworking (Device Not Responding Error In Flash Process)
I Try To Flash Stock Spl. And That No Luck It's Same Problem
I Worry About My Phone Are Not Able To Flash Again (I Have Bricked Nokia E90 And Feel Sad Before) And I Prepare To Sent To Htc Service But I Found The Way To Flash By Accident
To Make Phone Flash Able
1. I Have Flash New Windows Mobile For Touch Pro2 (S2) From Htc Website That Have The Same Spl. After That I Feel Happy That I Can Flash Official Rom And Hardreset After That.
2. I Downgrade By Flash Official Windows Mobile From Htc Spl 0.87 And Hardreset After That
3. I Can Flash Olinex Spl And Happy To Flash ModifyRom Again.

Normally a cooked ROM should work even better/faster than any original ROM.

Does the new hardspl include a overwrite protection freature? meaning that a new hardspl can't overwrite it?
Hey guys this isnt my first time flashing my device but ive run into a little problem:
I flashed my HTC diamond before to the Gen.Y D2 R5.5 ROM. After I had to return my device for warranty so i flashed it back to the original Rogers Rom and Radio.
I got my new device and now ive been looking at these few ROMS or themes or w/e u want to call them:
|6.5.5|WWE| ★ Energy Series (23563/21899) ★ |Apr 21| Sense 2.5 ! - GTX Themed is what i want to put on my phone if i put this ROM
GTX Sense 2.5 - (looks beautiful but i can see its cancelled and is continued by the lower ROM chef)
[PRJ] [THEME] [Prev] GTX Sense 2.5 Theme - Continuation of development - Continuation of the above one and is so nice but I dont know how to add it since its a theme and not a rom. Also how do i put it if i just got my diamond straight from Rogers.
I would like to put the last of the 3 but Im not sure how since it isnt a ROM so can someone please tell me step by step?
Also if I want to put the first one as well is all i need to do again do flash it with signed hardspl 1.93...and then upgrade the radio and put that rom? Because I tried to use hardspl signed 1.93 but it doesnt show anything in the folder but a .nbh file and no custom ruu app inside.
