i've a "little" problem with my blue angel. when i use the wlan-connection, my device shut down.
normally (since some month) it shut down at a battery capacity <40%, but now it shut down, don't matter if battery is full or not. (yesterday at ~80%)
when the device is in the docking satation an it's getting power, i can use the wlan for hours?
maybe battery?

I've just got an MDA3. Is the battery life really that bad? With wifi/bluetooth off, radio on, backlight on maximum, writing for 25 minutes constantly to SD-card (making a backup), it went down from 100% to 88%. Also, does anyone have experiences with the mugen extended batteries?...
usually lst a bit longer if u turn the backlight down to lowest without turning it completly off. only use things when u relly have to. and if u travel get a car charger, its a real lifesaver. dont use vibrate cos that uses a lot of power, its the screen that uses the power the most,i find that if i turn the battery meter off that my battery also lasts a little longer. the other day i used wifi for a minute, and i forgot to turn it off, within an hour i lost 60% of battery power.
and id like to har more about extended batteries!
I always turn off WiFI and BT when not in use, stanby mode ( phone on unit off) I get all day out of one charge. But start playing games or internet with WiFI and I'm lucky to get 2hrs out of 1 charge. I also use an auto charger and have a seperate USB sinc/charge cable with power connector to recharge at work.
1 of the downsides of the Qtek, but it is better than the iPAQ 2210 that I had before.

I purchsed an Mugen extended battery from Lion Battery http://etxquc.simplyonline.com/
I got a version 2 2200mAmp battery and it works fantastic. There are a subset of people that have had problems with the battery, but Lion has been great about exchanging them without complaint.
There's a version 3 coming out thats 2400.
I say well worth the cost myself. Its taken my Sprint 6600 from a recharge once a day minimum to a 2-day pda.

Hi my friends!
I had some problems with my xdaiis!
It is about the power!
In spite of the fact that I use a full batery, my PDA also cannot recognize the level of the battery power and it's always 0%.Oh my God! What should I do?When I recharge, the led for recharging doesnt work and instead of "recharging" symbol it's AC only.
So the main problem is that: My BA runs out of power although the battery is full. And I cannot recharge the battery. The battery power level is always 0%.I cannot do nothing coz it repeatedly turn off.So if I want to work with the BA more than 3m, I have to press the power buton once!
Everybody please !Help me!
it seems that your battery is damaged... how long did you use it?
I recently purchased a blue angel and the battery only lasts 4 hours on standby mode. I purchased a new battery from ebay and the new battery has the same problem. I do not have the BT running or the locator. Is it possible that this problem is the actual phone itself and not the battery?

Does your BA have symptoms lik mine:
It charges itself normaly, to the green light on the right.
After I disconnet it from the charger green lights still, not blinking (as it was before).
After 10-15 minutes it lights orange (like during charge).
In Power settings State of main battery changes to Charging, though it is not connected to charger, and drains out in about 4-6 hours.
Backlight Brightness also behaves like it is on external power not on battery.
It looks like device thinks of itself, that it is connected to external power permanently.
Any comments would be appreciated.
Suddenly, after next recharging BA works normally again.
I'm glad that problem just dissapeared.
Since I do not know the reason of wierd power problem, I'm afraid it can happen aggain.
I've read most topics related to the BA power problem, and surmise that most complaints about BA eating batteries, self-discharging overnight, etc. were for the same reason as in my case.
There are no topics ended with problem solved by unlucky user.
Did their BAs start to function normally just like mine or they use it for paperweight?
Strange that no one suggested any explanation+solution of that power phenomenon.
Hello,
I have a HTC Blueangel with a somewhat novel approach to charging its battery.
When connected to the USB, the charge meter continuously _decreases_, something close to 1% in 5-6 seconds. When the meter reaches 0%, it stays there for a short while (20-30 seconds), then jumps back to whatever the real charge is. And start decreasing again. After the regular several hours, the battery gets fully charged as normally should.
The charging used to work normally a while ago, and I cannot figure out what (or when) did I do to make it act this way. Initially I thought it might be a software problem, tried a hard reset, but it's still happening.
It's running WM2003 (1.42), with radio 1.15. BlueTooth, IR and wifi are disabled, screen brightness is set to min, etc. so I cannot understand what is going on.
Normally it should not be much of a deal, because the battery really has charge in it. But the system believes the indicated meter, so when going really low on the battery meter, it decides to disable stuff like phone, SD slot, etc. trying to conserve an apparent lack of charge.
If I disconnect the USB cable, the charge meter appears to drain at the normal rate (regardless of what the _real_ charge is). All other battery-conserving features appear to function normally -- notifications at 20 and 10%, shutting down when empty, etc.
I do not have a wall charger, so I could only test USB charging. I do not have another BA available to test just the battery.
Any ideas as to what might be going on? Is it possible to fix it?
Thanks,
-Daniel
lol sounds annoying........what about reinstalling wm2003???
i am having a similar problem - using the usb charger while in the car seems to discharge the battery. nothing seems to fix battery drain problem - but on the cradle it is fine. let me know if you find anything on this one
So I've noticed for a while now that when I disconnect my dInc after charging, the battery will drain almost 20% within the first couple hours (almost no use at all). I suspect that the battery isn't being fully charged when the green light first goes off. After I plug/unplug the cable and charge a couple more times, it holds a higher charge more consistently. I've read this is due to the phone not wanting to over-charge the battery, however in the case of my battery (Seido 1750), it doesn't even fully charge.
Is there any way (aside from the plug/unplug scenario) to fully charge the battery in one go? An app maybe?
My phone is rooted.
Thanks.
The battery could be losing its ability to hit its capacity. In other words its wearing down.
Nothing will fix it. There are no apps to bump charge.

Get an external charger for your battery and couple of extra batteries. I get best result not charging in the phone and rotating batteries.

Charge the phone powered on until the light turns green. Leave it plugged in but turn it off. Leave it plugged in, off for about 20 minutes, you will notice the light is still orange even though its already "charged." Once the light goes green again, unplug it and power it up. When I do this, my battery will go for 3 or 4 hours before it hits 90 percent with my regular use.

Just be aware that bump charging as it's called, can reduce the life of your battery over time.
