The bluetooth on my hermes suddenly stopped working. In the COMM manager its X'd out and when i press it nothing happens. Stays off.. any ideas?
Any stacks i can flash or things i should try before calling warranty return?
I dont feel like calling ATT... this is my 4th hermes in 3 months. And they all had problems.
Pop the battery out and leave it out about 1 minute. Pop it back and once you are fully booted, turn it on again. This has happened to mine 3 times so far and only started doing it about 2 months ago (had the phone a year so far).
I have no idea why it happens, but that's how I have to fix it.

Yeah.. well i've already hard reset the phone and the problem is still there.. I might try a wm5 rom a little later on. Any other ideas?
Which rom version are you using? With 3.60, the following happens:
After a reset (soft or hard) you can turn on and off bluetooth using comm manager. After a moment (quickly...) when turned off you cannot turn it on again. It stays"crossed". The only way to start it again is to soft reset. The solution? Let it "on" all the time. (I did not notice this problem with 3.57 roms)
Bergerac56 is right.
But you could make turn it off after the device starts up (and it is already on)
just make sure its on again when you hard reset
Hello all,
Since this morning I have a problem with my DHD. When I turn off the screen, it is supposed to stay of until I turn it on again. Since this morning it starts turning itself on over and over again. Everytime I turn off the screen, it switches on in a few seconds. But once it's on it doesn't go off by itself. So I doubt if it is a problem with the on/off switch. What else could it be?
Edit:
This seems not to happen when the phone is connected with an USB cable. Either on my PC or on the regular power charger.

Have you installed anything new at all. Also have you restarted the phone since it began exhibiting this behaviour. Make sure it's a proper restart aswell by turning off fastboot i settings, it's under power settings I believe.
Thanks for your fast reply.
I have not installed anything new since two days ago. And the problem really started this morning. So I guess it is not caused by a program I installed a couple of days ago.
I have indeed restarted my phone. Also turned it off, toke the battery out and waited a couple of minutes (just to make sure it was really really really turned off) but this did not solve the problem.
The thing I find very weird is that it does not happen when the phone is attached to USB...

Maybe USB debugging, or possibly a short on the mini USB connector. What firmware do you have on the phone?
Android 2.3.3
HTC Sense 2.1
I also think it might have something to do with a short in the micro USB connector. Have cleaned when the phone was of. Seems to have solved the problem, but that's only for the past few minutes...

Darn! The problem still isn't gone. It appears to be less frequent than an hour ago, but the screen still turns on every couple of minutes
This is happening to me as well. The phone screen keeps coming on and then going off after a bit. This and randomly going into car mode and whenever I make or receive calls, the phone speaker is switched on automatically.

Indeed! I just noticed that too. I received a call and my speaker was turned on without me turning it on manual..
Update: my phone stopped switching its screen on automatically, but the problem with the speaker still is not gone.
My DHD has started showing both of these symptoms, ie, switching itself on from standby and the speaker phone being activated on incoming calls .. ever since I upgraded to Android 2.3. I'm not sure if this is something to do with 2.3, the DHD or T-Mobile (my provider) .. or a combination of all 3.
And an app called Car Panel keeps launching ..

I have this problem, too.
Before the last update of my DHD the backlight turns on in standby for some milliseconds. I saw only a short flash in standby.
After my update to version 2.3 this happens everey 7 minutes.
And the backlight is on for about 10 seconds, then turns off for the next 7 minutes.

DHD light off on
I had the same problem going to settings/dock and turning off auto launch and then power setting turning off fast boot appears to work so far
This is something very peculiar I'm experiencing. I got the desire a few months ago, rooted it, and I'm fine with S-Off. Now the peculiar thing's that a couple of days ago, I was watching a movie on my phone, and it was working fine, when suddenly the screen blackened. It wont turn on even when I tried the power button. I was devastated until at night I tried to turn on the screen again, and my room was dark, and I noticed that there was a flickering of light in the screen, and I could detect all my icons. The touch was working all right too. I started to slightly tap my phone, and this turned it on after a few tries. But the problem's that it keeps on doing so (blacking out) every hour or so of use, and I love playing Chess at level 10. Can someone help with this??? I'm sure this is a hardware related prob, cuz I tried every software and app things.
I have had my Moto 360 for just over a week. For the second time the touchscreen stopped functioning. First time I resolved by turning it off (very long press hardware button) then left overnight and it was fine in the morning. Turning it off and back on again didn't help. Couldn't factory reset because no touchscreen.
Second time is now.
Does anyone else have this problem? Any clues how to resolve?
Thanks.
Edit: After left off for a while (instant off and on doesn't work) it is fine now. Anyone have any clues or better suggestions how to fix?

Yes mine has done it two or three times since the last OTA update, nothing I did to the screen had an effect, had to reboot the watch to recover.

Mine doesn't recover immediately on a reboot but it is nice to know I'm not alone in the problem. It's better to know that you've only had this problem since the OTA. That means it can be fixed in software. Thanks.
Same here
Lost "touch" today on mine. Had the 360 for about 4 weeks and not seen the problem until now. Wasn't even sure how to turn it off until I saw "very long press" - thanks!
Turning mine back on straight away was fine so it was just a turn it off and back on thing. Frustrating, but I'm glad it's a software bug rather a touch screen fault, that would be a real pain. Hopefully, if it's a bug it will be fixed.
i think.....
I think this happens when the moto 360 is not set on your wrist
Ddoes anyone solve this issue ? My new moto 360 touch screen doesnt work at all. So i can choose any language in initial setup
This problem Occurs when no static energy is given to the case of the moto360. As soo'n as You touch The Iron ring The touch Will work. Release it and it Will stop working. Ik think The touch screen works rather like a conductive layer between the back of the watch and the screen it self in which the skin gives the energy needed to control the screen. When the back of the watch isn't connected to skin the touchscreen completely stops working.
In video you see what happens

Mine did this too, however I broke my screen ordered a replacement and haven't had the issue since. When mine quite working if I triple pressed the power button it lock the screen then pressing the power button it would turn on and work though. Sometimes it wouldn't come right back on like it froze or something.

I've been having this problem too, it's more like my weekend watch but last week i noticed that it wasn't responding and i thought it could be a RAM issue. I've done multiple reboots and it doesn't work.
There was only an occasion where i left it overnight till it almost drained completely and it worked again, and then it started freezing again.
Hi,
my P6 started doing...stuff... literally over the night. My baterry died after a long day three days ago, so I plugged in the charger and switched the phone on. Ok, but then it rebooted once or twice, the camera stopped working (it works, but there are no controls at all, just the nav. bar). Later almost every app started doing this - I launch one and after 5 seconds of being frozen it says "The app is not responding", so I shut it down. And sometimes it even reboots itself, or just shuts off and I'm not able to switch it back on for a minute or two. And one more, when I'm typing, (if I am able to get the keyboard working), the screen goes black and then on again by itself.
Which is interesting, I plugged the charger yesterday and after three hours or something I was able to work with the phone normally. Some time later it went ****ty again.
I'm now running the B707 firmware, repack for Europe. for two months and a couple weeks.
Have you experienced this before? Could you help? It's Easter time so I don't wanna run to the repair shop right away, they wouldn't care untill Tuesday, anyway -_-

I can assume, that this is because of the unstable B707 firmware. I can suggess you to to instal and try B708 Re-Pack by BbN - it is based on the STABLE B708 firmware and it is repacked for international use. Very stable rom - I am using it one month until now and have no problems with it!!!
Ok, I can try that
Didn't help :/
