I found it with a quick search, using google in my signature I searched 'msn cab file' and found this.

Does anyone have a .cab file for MSN messenger that was avilable before the live version was released. I'd love to try it on the Orbit to see if it works as this will get around the contacts problem (and possibly another issue)?

Yes, similar - the older version of Messenger gets around the firewall here - whereas the newer "Live" version is blocked.
And I just hate the newer version.
Is there any version of MSN LIVE, which cant add anything into my contacts??
I have a Pocket MSN version from WM5 system which don't add msn contacts into the phone. I think it is better than any live versions.

Yeah, that sounds great. i have all IM-contact already stored in Outlook but msn adds them again to the addressbook. Now my contact folder stays clear...This post is great ! Thanks a lot !!

Sup, ive searched, and cant seem to find anything, so my question is this....IS there some kind of P2P program for the Excalibur running the Brightpoint ROM? Ive got that old G2P program, and it only works with PocketPCs......so any help is appreciated....and also, while on the subject, how about a BitTorrent downloader aswell? Is there anywhere I can download Windows Live messenger for mobile I have searched on google but I couldn't find anything the reason I want this is because that my current Windows messenger wants me to sync contacts to my address book but when I select do not sync contacts it still asks me when I go to sign in so I was hoping that installing a new messenger may change this.

using parlingo instead yahoo messenger...
I think its better u use Parlingo ( which u can find here easily by search) instead of using yahoo messenger. i'm using it long time with no problem.

unfortunately YM is not available on any version of windows Mobile. your best bet, like our mate above said would be to use Palringo. you can have all your IM networks, right from facebook chat to YM on one software.
