Lost on Verizon to Alltel upgrade

Okay, I was given a Verizon HTC Touch by a friend that switched to AT&T. I did my research, found the stock Alltel ROM and unlocker. Upgraded the Rom and called Alltel tech support to manually program and activate the phone. It works but it says I am roaming all the time, even in my home area. Also my email won't work and when I try to update roaming (*228) it says, "Welcome to the Verizon network".
Being that I am a noob at this I am pleased I have made it this far. Can anyone tell me what I have missed or overlooked?
Many thanks,
Mike
Well I found out what the problem is. The PRL is incorrect. I need (according to Alltel tech support) PRL # 30031.
Surely someone here has run into this problem unless all you Alltel people aren't using the internet. Please help.............................
Well if I keep on going I will have answered all of my own questions. I found the PRL and updated it. Now I can tower update on Alltel but still can't connect to the internet. I keep getting "Incorrect name and password" even though they are correct. User is phone [email protected], Password is "alltel".
Anybody.....anybody?

You HA Shared key is probably wrong, which I don't know how you can reset. I did it by using ##786 and then doing a restore but not all roms support it.
I am having the same problem with internet. I did find that to activate it you can dial *22801 here and it dialed alltels system instead of Verizon. Try *228 (00-09) to find how to update roaming and activate your phone. Im still waiting to find out if you can fix the internet and MMS. If you find out PM me with the info.

Default Verizon PRL needed

Hey gang,
I bought a used Droid Inc. It has a good ESN with Verizon, but the previous owner had it flashed to Cricket to save money on his monthly bill. I confirmed the ESN is good with Verizon.
These are my attempts thus far to return the phone to the Verizon network:
I reloaded the stock 2.2 software, but it was still on Crickets towers.
Next, I placed a Verizon PRL file (found online, but not sure if it is the right one for this phone) on my SD card, dialed ##775# then 000000 and installed the new PRL.
The phone is now on Verizon's network, but It doesn't turn on 3G data at all.
I tried *228, *22890, *22891, *22899, etc.to update the PRL... but each time it tried the "Programming" part would always end the call after about 10 seconds with a voice message stating my phone could not be programmed.
NOTE: I have not activated the phone yet, so it is without service. Local Wifi only. That shouldn't matter... but thought I would supply all available info =)
Can anyone supply me with a good PRL file for the Droid Incredible?
... or just point me in the right direction
Thnx,
Syn
This happened with my moms phone, you have to manually activate it, I don't quite remember how but give Verizon a call about it.
Sent from God, who uses OMGB-6.
LOL, if you have activated the phone yet....... no 3G... haha
Had the exact problem. I activated on my line and had no 3g and took to verizon store and nobody there could figure it out so the manager overnighted new a brand new one!! Just do that!!
Sent from HTC Droid Incredible
one time on my eris I downloaded a 3g toggle and left it off when deleted it and couldnt get 3g back til i re-downlaoded the app left it to on and deleted it. FWIW
updating to verizon's PRL OTA is *228, opt 2.
PRL update wont pass if the phone isnt activated on the network.. you must activate the ESN with VZW and do an OTA *228 opt 1. If that fails, a manual program is required, and VZW can help you with that over the phone..
(...i kinda work for verizon? but this isn't private info or anything..)
Try this - should be able to d/l a prl & install before activation.

Still having bad connection with new modem

How do I check if my T-Mobile phone is roaming correctly on AT&Ts voice network? I can find the data roaming option under settings but since I have updated to 4.3 ROMs and above the voice roaming setting disappeared.
I have T-Mobile postpaid non-contract so I should be able to voice roam on AT&T for free. I am having spotty coverage issues after updating to 4.3 ROM and I have verified that I am on new MK2 modem that I successfully loaded through ODIN. The last time I had this spotty issue it was caused by a ROM that turned off my voice roaming. Does anyone know easy way to check whether voice roaming is enabled? There is a big difference between T-Mobile's prepaid and postpaid networks in Southern California.
I am running Infamous 9 with ktoon kernel.

[Q] VS985 G3 Running 5.0 CloudyG3 2.4 won't utilize LTE

For some odd reason I can still get SMS and Calls but I cannot connect to the internet except through Wifi. I noticed while on the play store that I don't have a Carrier[1] even though i'm obviously registered with Verizon Wireless.
I attempted to find the APN settings although CloudyG3 Completely re-arranged the network settings and I can't find it. I found something similar[2] under the mobile networks[3] tab (Settings> Tethering & Networks> Mobile Networks> Network Mode) but i'm not sure too if that is APN or not. (If someone knows please let me know)
I had Full LTE connection available yesterday before I flashed CloudyG3. I also had this problem when I attempted to flash Jasmine 7.0 and failed. My friend fixed it by doing something with the location services but I'm not sure what it was.
Network settings[4]
TL;DR LTE is not activated, can still send SMS and Voice Call. Phone is not registered under a carrier.
Enable Data Roaming and see if that works.
Tried that, nothing
Thanks for the suggestion

Verizon PRL problem

Let me first start out by saying that I know people have been saying to never do *228 on LTE or phones with SIMs. I was doing it for years on my Gnex and never had a problem, it even updated the PRL in some cases.
Recently I was in a rural area with my 5X and it was bouncing between 3G and LTE a lot, I figured why not perform an update just in case. My phone was served 53977 and been stuck on 3G ever since. I tried taking the SIM out and rebooting many times. It just won't serve me the other PRL for LTE.
Wife's identical phone has 15457. Is there a way for me to download the PRL off her phone and serve it to mine manually?
I'm on CM13.0 - 20160610 Nightly. I think I'm on the latest baseband M8994F-2.6.32.1.1 and vendor. TWRP recovery.
Did a factory reset...flashed factory image. It is stuck in LTE now. Under "Service state" Voice: Out of service / Data: In service
I can't make calls. Nobody knows where to find the PRL file?
have you tried just calling Verizon Wireless and explaining your problem of not being able to make calls? They can probably remotely re-provision your phone.
I try to do as much as possible on my own, since I still have unlimited data I don't like to call VZW for anything. I think you're right I may have to do that at this point.
The PRL is the preferred roaming list, I don't believe it has anything to do with native coverage on Verizon, only updated roaming partners and towers.
You should not have to update the PRL on the 5x. Do a factory reset, and have Verizon activate a new Nano Sim for you. Just put the sim in and you're good to go. No need to mess with any APN settings either.
