Hi,
The build-in Calendar "fires" 4(!) reminders for each event.
In my old "PALM Vx" I could change the default number of reminders.
I assume that in my "MIO" it could be achieved by changing some Registry Keys.
Please let me know if and how it can be done.
Thanks, Micky
This forum is for discussing the xda-developers.com website. You might be better asking your question in the General Forum.
Can one of the Mods please move this (or close if a new thread is created )
EDIT:
Has been re-asked in General, so Close me
Thanks
Dave
Thank you. Will do.

I'd like to edit or create a sliding panel in Ookba's latest EVO ROM release for IE. I have an idea of how to do it (or at least try) but would appreciate it if someone could post the action URL needed for IE and the icon/picture number. With those I think I can get into trouble on my own. I did a semi-serious search but didn't turn up anything that helped me out. Thanks in advance.
You guys are not following the rules!
This is a 3VO Rom question, and it should be posted in the proper thread , not make a new one.
All you guys are doing is making more clutter , more amount of results , when someone does a search. Please keep questions in the proper thread.

In genral the front page has become multiple "questions already answered" & "even non smartphone related outside of appropriate thread"
Yeah i'm b*chin
b.t.w roloracer your service icons look sweet
Okay, delete/move thread since I don't have the ability to do it.
Nailed On Da Cross !!! Lol
The funny thing is that in the time it took you to type up your admonishment I'd be willling to bet at least one of you (if not both) could have provided me with the info I'm looking for. Maybe a "Please keep all related threads together and by the way.." response. Just and idea. Everyone, including you, was a noob once.
Hi all,
I was browsing though the Q&A section to see if I could help someone.
However, it's impossible to see if the question is answered or not.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to ask the members to change the thread icon to the light bulb when their question is answered/their problem is solved?
That would make the forum better organized I think.
And if you need me to realize it, I'd be happy to help.
Cheers,
EC
I suggested a MSDN / Yahoo Answers style for the forum, a while ago when it was first setup, but it looked like too much work...
I'll re-propose the idea.
Dave
Okay, yeah that Yahoo Answers system works great, but indeed hard to make I think.
If that will not be accepted, we could still try the idea I described, because that would be not much work at all.
Thanks for helping!
I really like this idea. We'll look into it and if we find an elegant solution, we'll roll it out!
Thanks svetius, if you need any help on this subject, I'll be happy to help!
I think there's an extension for vBulletin (or it's even native, I'm not sure, I've only seen this in some other forums) to add prefixes to the thread titles. These could also be useful in other sections, for example if there were the prefixes [Manila], [WM 6.5/6.5.3] etc. in the WM themes section.

Yeah that's also a good solution.
I'm looking for those two specifications from a Dialer:
Search into Facebook contact
Search number in the middle
By search number in the middle, I mean if I start dialing 555 it would show me number 0785556767 by example.
Dialer one has those two specifications but only with HTC Sense ROM, with non Sense ROM, it doesn't look into the Facebook contact
So I'm looking for:
a way to make Dialer One working with non Sense ROM for Facebook search into contact
another Dialer that would look for Facebook contact and search number in the middle with a non Sense ROM
a non Sense ROM that would allow any of the two above
Thanks,
Nickwe.
You may try with aTAKEphONE. The last version is 1.25
"- Search company (!) and notes (!) fields.
- Search (filter) call log list by text.
- Jump to a specific date in the call log.
- Schedule calls as entries in your Calendar.
- Search for contact in a super fast & sophisticated way -
using a T9-like mechanism (e.g. to search for "John" simply
tap the "JKL", "MNO", "GHI", "MNO" buttons)"

DON'T POST YOUR QUESTIONS IN THE DEVELOPMENT SECTION!
Do you not think the mod of this forum (Who also is a mod for 5 other devices) has better things to do than constantly moving all your '[Q]' threads?
Thank you,
NoobNazi
(Please don't create a new thread in General/Q&A, this *should* get moved soon)
Moved to correct forum. Why was this posted in Development?

Good question. Most general queries end up in development these days :/
Is it not also bad forum etiquette to clog up threads with unrelated posts?
And yes, I'm aware of the irony.
hey admins
i have nice suggest to the forum design
maybe u guys can add bookmark option to forum
and able us to bookmark few topics and see all the new posts at once
without having to look each one by one
thx u guys
edit:
another suggestion
that is to add top topics that recently active in sub-fourm
aka hd2 android /wp7 and else so we could access them fast
I second that.
vBulletin is considered one of the best forum softwares, it should support user bookmarks.
Someone needs to point this thread do the admins, otherwise there is very little chance that an admin will read this in such a huge forum!
+1

Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
added suggestion at first post
You can do bookmarks already
Thread subscriptions under "thread tools", and then go to "UserCP".
You can subscribe to forums and threads.
Unless I am missing out something, thread subscription will enable mail notifications. So it is not currently possible to add a thread to the list without receiving mail notifications. This is OK in most cases, but can sometimes be annoying.

No, you can disable the email notification either thread by thread (go into the List Subscriptions and select "No email notification" for the threads you want) or for all threads (go into Edit Options and select "No email notification" in Default Thread Subscription Mode).

Good! You are getting a "thanks".
I do have small feature request: could you please add ability to change attachments order in the post (in the "attachment editor" form, in "advanced" view)
For example, I'd like to attach a new version of the app without removing previous but wanna see it above old one.
P.S. If you are going to implement that feature, please do not forget my favorite and usual theme, "XDA 2010"
@sensboston, don't forget that there is an entire thread dedicated to feedback and feature recommendations where your (very good, might I add) idea may be seen more quickly and by more moderators than in this thread.
@ИΘΘK¡€, thanks for suggestion, next time will post in that thread!
P.S. However (I just checked mentioned thread) it's really hard to find specific info/requests in that thread, it's huge and have a lot of posts with a mixed topics... Maybe, xda should try more professional way, kinda a dedicated bug tracker with ability to add feature request? (sorry for posting here )
