Reminder causes a soft reset loop.....

Hi Gurus,
My MDA Compact 3 has been ported across, so now it's my main phone. It seems that if I have some reminders that I haven't snoozed, and the phone requires a soft reset, then it'll go into a soft reset loop.
It'll reset upto 5 or 6 times, the alarms will go off, if i try and dismiss them it doesn't help, but eventually it'll come back to life. I've done a hard reset (last week it reset for 3 hours - I switched it off) and gone through and re-installed everything - it even happened when I had no software installed.
I love my phone, but it's flaky. Anyone know of a solution

Try MemMaid - removes duplicate and hung notifications (as well as other utils).

Tried that - MemMaid was one of the first things I installed. Deleted duplicates, but each soft reset - either after a backup or otherwise seems to re-generate more duplicate notifications.
When you say other utils and hung notifications - which are you referring to that i should use please...?

What do you have installed?
Because this isn't normal behaviour. My MDA C III has only ever had one lot of reset loops, when I installed "s-k tools" I removed this and it never happened again.

ok, here's the list - I've used all of these concurrently on my M600/WM5 which was my last phone. I bet you tell me it's one of these programs that are dodgy - please help - My phone's been soft resetting all afternoon, I'm now in the process of hard-resetting and rebuilding everything. by the way, what's s-k tools please?

Morphgear Crashing the touch pro 2?

Okay, I have done this three times now with three different Phone ROMS including romeos, energy and one I dont remember the name of:
I load morphgear and it works great. I'm playing snes on my phone and everything is peachy. I can use all the features and exit the program with no ill effects UNLESS I get a text message while I'm playing. If that happens then I can exit the program and go to my sms screen with no issues but the sms program will no longer close. Aside from that everything SEEMS to be working fine, I can still make calls and recieve messages and run applications but upon a soft reset of the phone, the ROM is completely crashed and won't boot and needs a hard reset. On romeos the hard reset came with a plethora of new problems in the ROM that could only be fixed by reflashing the ROM. I haven't had energy long enough to determine if there are problems after the hard reset.
Does anyone know what is going on here?

So i have some serious issues with my touch pro 2 and i wanted to know if this is ''normal'' or if i should contact HTC.
I first had an Iphone 3G but i wanted a physical keyboard so i brought the touch pro 2, the first few months i just had a few issues but now it's getting really bad let me list them:
1. Random calls, this is the worst one it keeps calling the last person that calls me first i tought it was the headset because it only calls people when the headset is plugged in. Today i jammed the headset button but it keeps calling the last person that called me randomly, since 1 week it also does this without the headset connected even when the phone is just sitting on the table.
2. Keylock, i don't know if i say it right but it is when you lock your phone so you can put it in your pocket and it won't do stuff. It DOESN'T work if i lock it (i go to start press lock and than turn the screen off) it still keeps doing stuff and calling random persons. Also sometimes i can turn the volume down and up and sometimes i can't.
3. Messages, When i send a message after i pressed send 50% of the message still keeps inside the message screen (just looks like i typed a new message)
4. Media player, it doesn't work in any way,shape or form. First it work ''fine'' but now i can't get my music in it i tried multiple ways but it won't work. The worst thing is i connected it to my pc transferd some music and the freaking thing copied ALL my audio from my pc to the phone (i make movies so i have 1000's of sound effects) and those are ALL in my media player exept my music.
5. Random things to start, when i'm doing stuff in opera suddently my text inbox launches or my email for no reason.
6. The on/off/lock switch, it is waaaayyyy to responive sometimes it just turn the device on in my pocket or turns it off.
7. Digital keyboard, i can switch it to 3 different types of keyboards but it's just random if i want to switch it i just tick the button really fast and sometimes the menu will pop-up sometimes it won't. And when i selected the right keyboard it sometimes decides to switch backagain or to some other keyboard.
8. WI-FI, sometimes it will just turn on the wi-fi for no reason, when i go to settings and check if it's on it sais it isn't but it still tries to connect to a hotspot.
9. RAM memory, it's always around 80% with NO applications running when i keep this thing on for longer than 24 hours i can't play video's anymore because it doesn't has enough RAM so i have to turn it off and on again.
10. Album, for some reason it's just giving random error's while it's still working.
This are only my major problems there are alot more i've got, i really get irritated by this phone sometimes i just feel like smashing it. Especialy when it keeps calling random people non-stop for 1 minute long.
When i wanted a new phone i saw that the touch pro 2 has windows on it, now i know windows has some problems so i hoped windows mobile will just work fine but as i can see it won't.
Here is some phone info:
HTC touch pro 2
4 months old
firmware 6.5
didn't mess it up or anything everything is still original.
restored it to factory settings 3 times but it won't help with solving the problems.
Is this just common for this phone or is it just my phone? Because if it is common i will contact HTC that i want my money back because i didn't payed 700 Euro's for a phone that isn't working properly.

Ditto, sounds like a defective device. Time to cash in on that warranty! Nonetheless, here's a couple of comments corresponding to your issues.

Just use drag and drop to your microSD. Don't depend on WMP to sync.

Random things shouldn't happen. If it happens even after a hard reset, it's definitely defective.

Never heard of the standby button on the TP2 being over-sensitive.

To bring up the keyboard selector, you need to tap the tiny triangle on the right of the keyboard icon. Alternatively, you can long-tap on the keyboard icon.

WinMo 6.5 is a RAM hog. But nonetheless, even at 80% RAM usage, you should still have about 46MB free. That really shouldn't stop you from doing anything. Many ppl use a RAM cleaner. My personal practice is to just do a soft-reset every 2 days.

I recently got HTC one x in UK and it was fine so far now I started receiving Loading screen often.After seeing various forums I removed the calendar widgets with the hope of not getting he loading screen again but no luck. Any one had this problem or any suggestions?

Hi,
Not sure if you still have this problem, but I solved my friend's X by backup and factory reset. after restart, tested opening apps then home button, no more Loading..., then restored.

Thanks dansoh, Same I did and it started working fine but my worry is why the new phone needed such factory restore?

I already did a factory reset on mine and it still happens. I think when the phone runs out of ram, it may have randomly closed the home screen and so it needs to "load" again.
This sometimes happens with my galaxy nexus as well.

I had my homescreen always reloading again to.
Found out it had something to do with the setting: Options\Developer options, and there the 3rd option from below, don't save activities (not sure how it is displayed in the English version).
It should not be selected, otherwise it reloads the homescreen everytime.

I see that option. By the sound of it, i think it disables multi tasking?

i got the same problem too and it was yesterday it started as there was a new software update and i accepted and ever since, when i hit the home icon on the phone it says loading every time.. i followed all the tips of putting everything to 4 processors and turning off activity in the background and no luck.. i have noticed that when i go onto the task manager i have constantly over 641mb running even when i stop all and refresh.. where as before i updated it it was around the 300mb ... can i get the old version instead of 4.0.4 ? or is there another way ? thanks

[Q] Sudden Lag. Jellykat v6.7.

Hi guys.
So I was on Jellykat ROM for few months and everything was working fine. Thanks to the developer for this awesome ROM.
Few weeks ago, my Note 2 got sudden lag after 7-8 hours of uptime.
1-When I'm on Whatsapp, I cant bring the keyboard up.
2-When I pressed the home key, its seem like the Touchwiz was reboot, take time to load the widget, shortcuts and folders. (2-3 seconds)
3-I cant go to dialer screen, when I pressed phone icon, its goes back to the home screen.
All of this problems can be solved by rebooting the phone but I want to know what causing them? Before this it was OK. Anything I need to clear/wipe?
Additional problem (non-lag issue)
1-When I'm on mobile data, the messsages I received from whatsapp are always delayed. Data roaming is enabled.
2-When apps asking for reboot and I pressed Yes, nothing happen, I need to reboot manually. (SuperSU update asking for reboot)
