QR Code Reader - Touch CDMA Windows Mobile ROM Development

Hi folks,
Does anyone one have a QR Code Reader installed on their Vogue? I tried the Quickmark QR Code Reader, however, couldn't get it to work. The links to the Windows Live version seem to be dead as well. Search function has not provided anything useful. Thanks!

Windows Live Search (Mobile)

Does M$ still support the old version of live search some of us used with WM5 .. the free standing app that has icons for "categories" "map" "directions" and "traffic" ... I installed the old cab I had lying around, and it works fine .. however when I was poking around on the web to download it again (just to see if there was a later version) I could not longer find it.... the Live Search for Moblie page now installs simply a search window into WM6 ... and I actually liked the old interface.
Yes they still support it. I'm on WM6 (XDA Live 0.10) and I get to the download page fine.
If you have a problem just browse to that page on a PC or try the direct link
http://mobile.search.live.com/client/download/wm/LiveSearch.cab
can't find livesearch anywhere. anyone know where to find it?
here you go........
I think this is what you were looking for.
hey, thanks a lot! it works nicely. anyone able to tell me the shortcuts for zooming in and out... that's okay, i'll figure it out. thanks
is microsoft done supporting this? is it getting phased out? will it not get updated as the streets are added?
On the same note...
Anyone know of a way to add cities to the traffic module of the program?

Any news about accelerometer API?

Hi,
where could i find the API/SDK for the accelerometer, because i would develope an an application (.net cf) which should use the g-sensor.
no ideas?
Take a look at this application, maybe you can contact the author. I don't know if any API/SDK is used, but it is the first program I have seen wich uses the accelerometer:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=403939
Thanks, but he don't want to tell us, how they did it.
The authors of GSen won't tell anybody how he did it.
It's a commercial software house... someday they will surely try to sell that utility or develope some commercial applications and games using Diamond's accellerometer.
I presume they reverse engineered Teeter or Opera to find out how it works.
At moment, we keep the infos for several reasons.
GSen is " freeware ", no need to change the status.

Great software ya got there.
Just a feedback.. it's a real pain to edit the config file.
The save function on the device doesnt work. It's like the same function as "restore to default". I had a number of apps there and all gone when I clicked saved. Undo doesnt seem to work either.
Looks like I gotta do the hard way.. check for the window names and edit the config file on PC manually.
Checkout OnDeviceTilt...
After a lot of searching and disassembling manila.exe, etc. i figure out, that we have to use "HTCSensorSDK.dll" in Windows-Directory.
There are functions like "HTCSensorOpen", "HTCSensorClose", etc.
The problem is, that I don't know the parameters of these functions, and HTC won't answer on emails.

the HTCSensorSDK is the Light Sensor not the Accelerometer API, you should disasm the "Teeter" game on the Diamond to see what API's its using
HTCSensorSDK is the API for the accelerometer. I attached a debugger to the teeter app and verified it was one of the loaded modules. There were no other relevent DLLs loaded.
Walsheiu is definitely wrong:

Scottandmichelle.com figured out the function paramters to the G-Sensor API and released the full source code. It is using HTCSensorSDK.dll.

no worries, i stand corrected, i assumed that was only for the Sensor, so now we know.
I have written a managed wrapper that allows you to access the HTC Sensor SDK easily. More information here:

a newb asking a few questions

Hi, I just got two fairly simple and important questions to ask. I'm quite new to using xperia and the wm software, so there's still a lot that i'm learning.
1. Where Can I find a Garmin Mobile XT with North American map? Just the north american map would work just as well. if there's no free method of doing that. is there another program aside from google earth that I can use as my gps program? just to specify, since I live in Canada, I need a Canada map.
2. What's a good slide lock type of program that I can use for my phone? I really like the pattern lock from HTC, is there something similar like that for the xperia.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0NbEld2UEc&feature=PlayList&p=C54DB0D10D155015&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=19
3. what program or steps can I take for me to be able to play .rmvb or .ram files on my x1? I've tried quite a few different ways, but then none seem to be working. I even tried installing the real player v1.1 on my phone and it doesn't work.
Thanks a lot for the help.

Google "Garmin Mobile XT" works. You could also look at TomTom or Route66 or iGo. Or look at Nav4All for a free solution (without maps).

1 more question for everyone. I got WM 6.5 on my x1, but then for some reason, I can't get my optical touch pad (that little plastic key in the middle of the keys at the bottom that can be used as a touch pad) to move around to do scrolling anymore. does anyone know how to re-enable that function?
Thanks for the help.

Looking for QR Code App

Hi all
I am looking for a QR Code App that works on the Mini.
I tried several but none of them worked.
Cheers,
codiak
Hi, I use Mobiletag. It works ok.
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-mobiletag-barcodes-reader.html
Thanks for the hint.
What model did you chose for download as HD mini is not listed?
Can´t look it up, but I think I tried all options.. and in the end one worked fine
Have tried different versions now. The HD2 version works, but the menus are not fully visible.
I use the Quickmark Reader.
Runs perfect on the Mini!
