[Q] can't acces HBOOT. Help please

Hi,
I'm trying to root my HTC One V following this tutorial, but got stuck after succesfully unlocking bootloader. I got to point 18., then confirmed unlocking and the phone turn on. Then screen where you type your pin apeared. So I hold down POWER button and choose to turn off the phone. When it's turned off I press VOLUME DOWN and hold and then press POWER and hold but the phone always just turns on istead of going to HBOOT. Now I have no idea what to do and I don't want to try things on my own because I might brick it or something. Help me please

hold power button for approximately 10 seconds. you will see out hardware keys at the bottom of the screen start to flash and then your screen will turn off.
as soon as your screen turns off, release the power button and then hold down the volume-button.
this will boot you into bootloader mode.

[Q] No Power Button recovery mode for factry reset

OK no power button on the motherboard
So I cannot push vol up power and home
Any ideas please and thank you
And my phone wilnot turn on it gets stuck at the logo screen so I cannot install any drivers
How do you turn it on with no power button?
When it first starts to boot, immediately hold home and volume up and it should boot recovery.

OK it just vibrates and stays black and vibrates every few seconds till I'll I let go that it stays black
Try the same but volume down instead. If this works you can odin flash the stock firmware. Sounds like something may have been corrupted.

M8 brick after OTA? No Bootloader/fastboot!

Hi,
I was on open bootloader, S-On, TWRP and root. For the Stage fright update 4.19.161.13 (Vodafone) i reinstalled stock recovery and applied the OTA. It rebooted twice and gut stuck at One logo for an hour, so i shut it down by pressing Power + volume up. Now it doesn't boot. When i press Powe + Volume up then the One logo appears for a few seconds and then i get a black screen, but when i plug the one into my pc, the pc says mtp-device. Unfortunately i cant get into the Bootloader or Fastboot. Does anyone has advice for me? Thanks in advance.
Hold power and volume up and when the screen goes black you switch the volume to down. Keep the power button pressed at all times and hold these combos until you see the bootloader. Works flawlessly......if it doesn't it's your timing that's off
I'm on vodafone too and had the same problem.
Just follow MrHofs advise to get the screen back.
I have to restore from TWRP to get the phone running.
the update still comes up on my phone now but I'm not going to apply it until I now kow.
Thanks, it worked. The screen wasn't actually black, but on and just really dark gray. In a dark room I could see when it's reaaly off and the press Power + Volume down.
Try this....

Hold down power+vol up until the phone reboots.
AS SOON AS THE SCREEN GOES BLACK switch from vol up to vol down. That will take you to bootloader, where you will be able to enter recovery from. (select hboot for the recovery option)

unfortunately when I hold down power+vol down it will turn off without any attention !
but I find the solution ! I drained the battery then connected it to the charger. When the screen is showing the battery charge progress image I held down power+vol down and the bootloader appeared !
Thanks @xunholyx :good:

That's because you didn't hold power + vol up first. That forces a reboot. The power + vol down for bootloader only works when the phone is off.
When you force the reboot, you can get to bootloader by switching to vol up immediately, so that the phone doesn't have time to get to the boot up stage.

I held P+U first , the white screen appeared including "htc logo in center" and "red warning sentence for using outside of HTC in bottom of the screen" . it took time only 3 second and after the phone immediately turned off. I held down P+VD whenever at those 3 sec (before, after, middle, start, end and whenever) but it never take me to bootloader .

Then you did it wrong.
It could take up to 20 seconds to force a reboot with power + vol up. What I said to do always works while your phone is still powered up.
If it is off, then just hold power + vol down.
If it booted to the startup screen right away with P+U, then your phone was probably already powered off.

yeah , my first post indicates the phone is always powered off and I can't turn it on unless I hold down P+U . It means that the phone already powered off . I blame me for my poor English , excuse me for confusing sentences . I knew I am not clear ...
