this is just the dump
May want to edit your post then about it being just the dump.. and flashing will cause people to lose root.
I know you shouldn't have to... but we all know 99999 people will flash the straight dump then start threads and ask why they lost root and such.

I read it and fully understand its a dump... I was just saying you may want to note it in the OP because people are going to ask... and flash it anyway because they don't know what a rom dump is.

May I ask... I am a stock MT4G user.. can I just rename update.zip and boot into hboot to update? I mean, this IS a stock mysense update, correct?

I did read... and if flashing will cause you to lose root, then this is the update.. I just wanted to know if it was loadable via hboot on a stock ROM.. to which the answer should be YES.. I'd rather download from this link than the chinese one, but I guess I gotta do what I gotta do..
im completely new @ this android rooting thing............first of all i have a SGS2 from tmobile..... i rooted my device following a video i saw on youtube...in the description said somthing about this site so i went to the market and purchase and app called xda premium....ok so far so good......i dont know what to do with my device....dont know how to install themes( this why i root) the only thing i got to make was the wireless tether.......... other things like games,performance,al that stuff ,i cant make anything i made a clockwork mod or something like that because i thought of it as a mod for my clock LOL im new at this so please can somebody help me out?
lol no. Clockworkmod is not a mod for your clock.

it will start you up. Make sure that you follow each step CAREFULLY.
What you want to do with your phone to get you started is this..
- install clockworkmod recovery (This will be your safety net from bad flashing(uploading new roms))
- root your phone.
- start flashing! (WARNING: now, be careful not to flash any rom other than the T-Mobile t989 model or AT&T skyrocket model roms. If you flash any other roms besides these, you will brick your phone (say bye bye! to your phone).

dude not to be a **** but i wouldnt even do anything until you read up some more on how this rooting and installing custom roms **** works. especially if u thought cwm was a clock mod lmao. its all good tho bro just read up on everything u can and make sure u flash the right roms and mods to your phone. sgh t-989. and if you need any kind of help dont hesitate to pm me even if it is a stupid question. i want to see u try though, u get respect that way

i just want to install themes and free games and all that my phone is already rooted..... i have metamorph i believe its for themes right?
Being rooted does not mean you can start down downloading free games.
please make sure you read everything on stickies....and if you interested in doing some flash roms or kernels.....read all pages on that the thread....your future questions already anwsered...if you don't you will get flamed or redirected to use search...but don't give up to be part of this community...there are alot of helpful members so they will help you when they have time.

Being rooted does NOT mean you can download free apps, games, etc. there are free apps on the market. We are here to help but not provide free paid apps. This isnt like an iPhone with cydia dude. main purpose of rooting is to customize your phone any way you want. I would also recommend reading the noob guide. Read alot. Donr want this to be an expensive brick for ya.

Ok my friend,ive had iphone all my life now im stucked with this rooting thing but ok it seems that i have to read a lot, btw i have a problem with my wireless tether app it wont work, the first time did work tho! But know im having an error! So if u can give a name of a good free app ill.really apreciate it! Thanks a lot for your info man!

First I want to say hello! I just got my sg3 lastnite.. Was with htc for a while and now im done with them! I wanted to kno can we flash that senergy rom for verizon? Also wanted to kno what is the latest firmwear/ radio cause I want to kno if im up to date.. and I thought there was a Ziggy kernel for sprint is that true? I was on his site and coulndt find a download.. Thanks!
If the synergy rom says its multicarrier, then yes you can flash it...otherwise expect some things related to signal to not work. As for the latest baseband, its MB1
You can't flash (and expect a fully working ROM) a Verizon ROM, however I know there is one that is multi-carrier and uses aroma to install the correct version to by our device. It would be wise to read the op, and follow directions. If it doesn't say for sprint then I'd wager its not for ours. Never flash international ROMs.

MB1 I believe is the newest baseband. MB anyway, I'm too lazy to look.
Go to the dev forums and read, read, read. Don't mean that as a smartassed answer. When I get a new device I always spend days/weeks reading different threads. Not just the op but replies as well. XDA has a wealth of knowledge, you have to be willing to be patient and drink it all in.

Edit; was way slow to reply lol
You may want to try different modems. Some work in areas better than others. For example, for me MA works better than MB does. Was like that with my S2.
Best to keep them on your SD card and try them all with Speed Test from the market.
Others a thread in development with the different modems.

I'd give h a shot but I'm too happy with the kernel I have. I seem to remember the name. Maybe from evo 3D? Was Viper using his kernels? Been awhile since I had that god awful device active. Donated it to a dev that skipped out after getting it. Have another with a bad digitizer sitting on a shelf. Can't believe I swapped a Nexus S for that thing.

If you have custom recovery it will just fail on install. Shouldn't hurt anything.

He made quite a few kernels. You can look here. I used his kernel on my Evo 4G. And he made one just for Virus and his rom on the evo.

Don't install it. Instead, edit your build.prop, then reboot into recovery and clear cache, reboot and it should be gone, check out my stick thread in general (link in my sig) for how to do it, latest build is MB1
