I have an unlocked H620 to be used for data on the Fido network (Canada). I am running on WM6.5 with the ROM 3VO.2.50.080809
on the GPRS settings I indicated both wap.fido.ca and internet.fido.ca with username/pass: fido/fido but I cannot connect!
also tried with/without indicating the IP 205.151.011.011 (this is the one sent by a Fido CSR in a txt message) but still no luck
any ideeas, please?
From what i been searching Fido is now Rodgers i think your search could be considerably better with that criteria.
"I may be wrong as i'm only going on what i read"
G_luck
I'm using Fido with the same smartphone and I think the problem is the network Fido don't let you access for any URL is you use Google map application you will see that you have access to the Internet I lost 20$ from two days just using this application , I'm sure it you try fido.ca it will work if not ask support services again
Hope this can help
Take it into Fido and they will set it up for U.
Hey. So a problem a lot of Canadians are having is getting an unlocked WP7 to work on Rogers because Rogers is not on the list of network profiles listed. Currently Bell and Telus are on there. Unless you have a phone FROM Rogers, which has the Network Profile on it.
I'm really looking for someone who has the xml network profile from a Rogers WP7 that can share it with us here. Looking through the forums, this would help a lot of us out. Without it we have broken Caller ID and MMS.
Thanks much for any help!

I'm not speaking of specific entries like the data or mms apn. There is a specific xml file built into windows phones that has the entirety of connectivity information, including MMS and CLID settings, which can not be set through the settings menu. It is per carrier. But not all phones have those settings for all carriers.
..............
I have a sim unlocked Surround that was originally on Telus, now on Rogers. I downloaded the Htc connection assistant which adapted my phone to the new carrier with no problems
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
Sadly lg phones don't come with that option.
I had the same problems with my HD7. You can fix your CID issue by phoning Rogers and disabling name display, after that all CID's will show up like they should.
Well that's what I was planning to do until I realized WP7 devices on Rogers with the proper network profile settings have working name display. And also MMS. Was really hoping someone could contribute something. I've been searching google every few days to see if anyone has posted a copy of it anywhere. No luck as of yet.

I need some serious help. I recently purchased a used Oneplus 3. I do believe it to be the US variant but cant tell for sure (it does say A3000). I cant get LTE to work no matter what i do. I have set the APN settings correctly I believe. Can somebody please put me on the right track? Maybe I should be I should be verifying that it is US but I can't determine a conclusive way to do that. I've been pulling my hair out for dayS!!!!!
can anybody with a confirmed US version tell me what it says if you go to about phone, and press authentification information? thank you for much!
No help?
About phone > authentication information is not a valid entry.
Can you provide any further details of what you are actually looking for? I'm on metro and have no issues with LTE. What APN settings are you using?

Hello,
I'm outside my country and when trying to navigate, my data does not work.
I have roaming activated but It's not working.
I have latest official ROM installed.
any ideas? please help!
You should try to connect to another carrier while you are abroad. Or call your home carrier and ask them who they got contract with in that country to access data too.

Not working either sadly
Get the APNsettings for the carrier you are on.
For example, if you were using O2 abroad, search Google for "o2 APN settings" and follow instructions.
