HTC Diamond performance - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam ROM Development

Hi! I have a HTC TyN and for what I've seen in reviews, the Diamond as a kind of slow performance.
Has any of the current diamond owners here had a HTC TyN and can compare the performance? (just say "it feels faster or slower")
thanks!

neither! neither!

And the reason why you're asking that question here in the Hermes WM 6.1 Forum and not the Diamond Forum is?

because I wanted to know from someone with both devices and I didn't want to open it in both... but you are right, it might make more sense there...

Windows Mobile 6 for HTC p3600

Ok, I'm probably going to get flamed for this but to the best of my ability I searched and this is what I've gathered up.
There is a cooked WM6 for the Trinity
As of right now, HTC will not be releaseing a WM6 update for the P3600.
Dopod will be officially releaseing a WM6 ROM in July for their D810.
If the HTC P3600 and Dopod D810 are the exact same phones, will us HTC P3600 users be able to update our phones to WM6 from the Dopod ROM?
*flame suit on*
yes, a HTC trinity is an HTC trinity no matter what different carriers call it or how it is rebranded.

wow.. did you even read what I wrote?
yes and I answered your last question. the questions before you already answered yourself.
Wether the Trinity is called P3600 by HTC or Dopod D810 or Vodafone whatever doesnt matter. If one of them releases a rom it can be hacked to it loads on any HTC Trinity. If you do not understand that simple statement then there aint much me or anyone else can say. Its not that hard really

Windows Mobile 6.5 for the Diamond

Looks like someone has already got for BlueAngels over here.
Is that real and if yes, could some expert chefs here could make Diamond users happy?

WM 6.5 for other device like Kaiser ? Any ROM genius cooking 6.5 for Dash ?

I saw that WM 6.5 are popping for other devices e.g. Kaiser.
Any chance, WM 6.5 will be cooked for by any of the ROM geniuses ?
Looks like Private Certificate WiFi with eap-tls works fine with 6.5 hence I am interested.

As far as I know there is no 6.5 for Smartphones adn won´t be any...
Also if you see the 6.5 professional is very very similar to 6.1 smartphone!
I dare to say Kavana ROM´s have a better look than 6.5!

I must agree on this!
Let´s see what Chefs & Devs say about this
I gotta agree here aswell, 6.5 just looks nasty lol i do not like, the way i have transformed my S621 Pro Kavana 6.1, this rom by far is one truly best ones rinku, smartoolkit with all add On's installed, full black takbar, clock plug ins, CHome and everything else is unbeatible in my opinon, and all the true freeware software out there is unreal totally better then 6.5 i dont think were missing out on much 16 Gb micro sd is sweet enough on 6.1 so much more i could go on about for Kavana 6.1. lol

Found This...

You can read all the articles and look at the pictures all you want and really you cant tell anything until you have it on your device and in your hands for a few days. I defiantly think its worth the effort for someone to try and see what happens. It just could turn out to be the next must have rom.
I really can't see what all the hoo ha is about? WM6.5 made for PPC to be finger friendly, first the lock screen will be an issue with SP, secondly the Honeycomb looks whack, thirdly it's just like WM6.1 SP but with difference in panels slightly. Oh and boy would it lag device if ported since all phones using it are double the processor speed and quad the RAM.
Also if someone does port it they wanna wait till official release as it's still well buggy...
Oh and to the person up to the challenge please just make M2D work instead
Just my opinion.

I definately have to agree with Stylez, we should wait 'til the official 6.5 is released for someone to port it over for us,and be bug free, and I would love to see a M2D version for the dash. Most definately....

"Official" 6.5 ROM?

Hi,
I apologize if the answer to this question is obvious or stupid - I can't seem to find it stickied or find it, but where do you get the "official" 6.5 ROM for the Touch Diamond? I was told by HTC that there is no official 6.5 ROM for the Diamond, so I'm a little confused.
me 2
I'm also looking for an official 6.5 ROM for the Diamond but it seems that HTC has not released any 6.5 ROM for Diamond, and the guys who cook ROMs around here are probably using a ROM for another phone (probably the Diamond 2) to cook 6.5 ROMs for the Diamond.
But I might be mistaken... If so, could someone post a link to the official 6.5 ROM for the Diamond ?
please guys understand that never will be a 6.5 for diamond. at this point we should not see updates/fixes or anything from htc to diamond1.
no rom
The weird thing is that I also have an HTC Snap, the Snap came out right after the Diamond, and you can download the 6.5 ROM for the Snap on HTC's website. Also, if you look at the number of threads on the xda forum for Diamond1, and you look at the number of threads for the Snap, you can tell that there are much more people out there caring attention to the Diamond1. So I don't get this HTC strategy to not release a 6.5 ROM for the Diamond1. Note that the Snap is also called the Ozone in the UK and that a lot of business companies use that phone over there... So maybe that's one of the reasons. Oh well.... I'm sure there are a few 6.5 cooked ROMs around here which are Ok for the Diamond anyway
RAM
Snap vs Diamond for RAM ? Maybe that is the reason ?
Nope.
Both have 192 MB ram.

After Artemis, what next?

Hi friends,
I have been a very happy user of the Artemis for a long time and a big fan of this forum. I have happily tested a lot of ROMs from this forum and am currently running the Dheewatara-s M2D Mega beta2.
My question is, now that the Artemis is getting on in years, what would be the next HTC model to look forward to? Something to replace the Artemis which I consider the best for the Price/Performance/Feature set?
Regards
Rajeev
I think it is HTC Touch Cruise 2 (Iolite), because this model is from same model series aimed for autonavigation.
I will be waiting for an HTC just like Artemis in hardwares and shape, but new in everything. Hope HTC company would do it.
