To make a long story short, I got my P550 bricked after trying to do a downgrade from wm6.1 eng crashoverhead's
to another rom: Osc260A R05_P09.nb0 .
I renamed the file ( Osc260A R05_P09.nb0) to winceimg.bin and flashed it from SD.
During reading suddenly I got a white screen so I hit reset ( maybe i should have waited a while longer)
Then I got black screen and all leds on ( red and blue).
So it's dead and I can get to the bootloader anymore.
Needless to say I'll be very gratefull for any kind of help!!!

i have the same problem , dead after format just the red and blue light always on seems like its stuck on reset did you find something to help you fix it ?

Today i have noticed a little change - now the device have no LEDs open, the screen it is still black and i still cannot do the hard reset to enter BOOTLOADER!
So ... still nothing for the moment, it is broken...and there are no suggestions!?

Hy...i have the same problem with an airis t610. I observad not only software, rom fits t620, p550. The problem is they do not understand anything of what he wants to explain that tutorial. So .... I need special tools somehow? home to me can not even do that ?..... I want to do with my hands as much related to the PDA and helped me when needed. now I want to repair. I followed the instructions but not gone. Later I understood that some threads be tied those points, and from there I lost when I saw the scheme. Think you can help me? I saw good at it. At a certain time I had a WM 6.1 on T610 made by you and I saw astoria get involved in solving problems .... please help me

I have a Airis T610 and is dead... No image on display, no bootloader (joystik down+reset don't work) but lit a orange light....
Anyone help how to enter bootloader menu or something?

After a close look at PCB I discovered a burned transistor (a source) but I can'd read the name on that transistor ... Any Airis T610 service schematic?

from 50 times i got conected with jtag and read boot.bin its diferent then uploded.

MIO P550 Bricked
Hi, I bricked my, so loved, Mio... I have been trying to understand how to make the jtag cable but my girly brain doesn't has that capability...
Can someone sell me that cable, or does anyone know of a place in Lisbon where I can ask to make one? Or even if someone can fix it for me, I am willing to pay for it...
PLEASE HELP ME!!!
PS: I found this cable selling online, can anyone tell me if this is the cable used to unbrick Mio?

Well, I started this thread in 2008 , when I bricked my PDA, and the only reason I am still reading this is because I returned to this forum last year after buying the another device, the galaxy s smartphone.
Otherwise I would not even know this thread was still alive...
But I still have the Mio...If somebody finds a guide or would take sometime to post a guide for newbies about how to use a JTAG or something like that (in order to restore the P550), I will be more than gratefull

rename the the rom file to boot.nb
put it back in the root of the sd card
put the sd card in the mio device and turn it on
now your back in the bootloader

put the sd card in the mio device and turn it on
hold down the stick, and reset with a pin the device
now your back in the bootloader

Hello,
1 year ago I backed up my Mio P550 and I have a DUMP.BIN file. Then accidentally I bricked it and I have Blue and Red leds on issue.
Will the method you suggest work with the dump.bin or I need some other rom?
UPDATE: Tried with DUMP.BIN and some other rom file ( winceimg.bin ) renamed to boot.nb and put the file to SD card. Turn on the device MIO P550 and nothing happens! Blue and Red leds on!
Tried also to hold down the stick and reset the device but nothing happens.
Any suggestions?Do you have a proper file boot.nb to test it?

You can't use others, it's illegal and apart from this if ANY ONE NOOB HERE WILL SHARE IT, BOTH OF DEVICE WILL GET BANNED.
Considering this may be your noobness not reporting but never post again to share/purchase/sell EFS here on XDA.
Better post your details what ROM were you on before this happened and what you are getting by dialing *#1234#
