xda orbit - touch screen too... damned sensitive

Hi there,
I currently have an M3100 (Hermes) and the touch screen on it is great. I like to use my fingers so if I'm in tomtom I can push the buttons without really needing to worry about how I press the screen. (e.g. I normally just smudge it up with my no-fingernail fingers).
Work got a batch of Orbits in, but the screen is really really awful. It seems to be that the screen is very particular how you touch it in order for it to recognise it has been touched. I normally find myself turning my fingers round to try and use what little nail I have to just touch a small surface area to get it to work.
To be honest it is rubbish - and it's the same for anything.
Anyone any ideas how to reduce its sensitivity or if there is a new touch.dll that can be used?
Thanks a lot!
Dan
Well i'm still waiting mine to arrive, however a screen protector must remove a little of the sensitivity...
Having had a Hermes as my last phone, I personally dont have a problem with the Orbits touchscreen.
The screen protector that came with it from O2 was crap and I took it off. Too spongy and did not help at all with the "feel" of the touchscreen.
I had a Martin Fields protector on the Hermes and am awaiting delivery of one for the Orbit.
But just on its own it reacts fine, dont notice any difference between the Orbit and Hermes.
Just my view. Not everyone uses their phones the same way.

I'm not using one unfortunately.. I wish I had an excuse for it's assness!
This is the 3rd HTC touchscreen phone I have owned and I have never experienced such phenomena...
However I have noticed that while in tomtom, I get the quickest responses when I tap with my finger backwards so the flat part (not the tip) of my finger nail makes contact with the screen.
My Orbit is my 5th HTC phone.....screen works fine....maybe you've got a duff phone??

Screen Sensitivity

Hi you Desire owners.
Can you please tell me what the screen sensitivity is like?
Is it smooth? I have large fingers - is the keyboard and the buttons large finger friendly?
I am so used to a stylus just using my fingers would be a change.
Shame HTC dont keep resistive screens.
Cheers

I have fairly bit hands as well and have also come from a stylus based phone (Touch HD) and I have no issues with the screen, it is very sensitive and that takes a bit of getting used to.
The keyboard is very good, I have no issues typing with my thumbs

[Q] Wacom Digitizer "broken"?

H guys, so something weird is happening with my Note 2, my screen works flawlessly and it's not damaged in any way, but my s pen stopped working on most part of my screen ... Only the left top corner and bottom right corner work for now, nothing else ... Could it be that my wacom digitizer got "broken" somehow? I can write with my finger no problems, but outside of those 2 areas, the s pen is not usable ... I tried the Wacom test with *#0*# and it gets interrupted when I get out of the left corner ... So my questions are - I assume, but am not 100 % sure, that my s pen s not broken, since it works on a part of my screen ... That leaves the digitizer ... Can it be replaced alone anyhow? Or do I have to pay 180+$ for the whole package? :/

stylus stuck

I think the tip of the stylus is stuck, even when the stylus is not touching the screen, it is still registered as input. When I tried it with my laptop Wacom stylus, it works fine.
has this happened to you before?
Time for a replacement stylus?

Touch screen response

Hello,
Is it normal that touching screen with fingers works worse than using stylus?
Btw, on the corners there is no response to fingers. Does that mean I have to touch with whole fingertipto make it work? Stylus works perfectly from very first pixel in the corner.
