Could we possibly get some exact steps from a verizon user that has flashed for rev a and gps. im a little worried about doing it because i havent seen to many verizon people use it.
I used the kitchen over at PPCKitchen.org. It worked great. You can read the stickies under the Vogue Updating forum at PPCGeeks. They are the same instructions I used!

Hello,
I just picked up an HTC 6800 unit branded the P4000 from Telus. It came with WM5 and I would like to load WM6 on it. I've been reading lots around here trying to get all the tools and information I need to move forward but more than anything I'm nervous that I will brick my phone. I know my phone is very new and I'm not sure if these tools will work on my model or not?
From what I understand I need to use the CID Unlock to allow me to upgrade my ROM and Radio for WM6.
I think with a little trial and error that I have enough knowledge to get this working it's just like I said I'm not sure if these tools will work on my phone.
Can someone please tell me if this will work or give me some links to other posts that might help.

DO NOT UPGRADE with WM6 in this forum! the phone you have is the Herald which is not the same as the Hermes. If I am right yours has a 200mhz chip and the keyboard slides out to the right. If you upgrade with the Hermes WM6 it will brick your device.

WHAT ARE YOU SAYING, IT IS A DIFFERENT PHONE!
I have been doing a lot of reading on this topic and need some advice. I have found a lot of information on this site and ppcgeeks, but still havent found a true answer. I currently have the xv6900 with verizon stock rom which i upgraded earlier this year and i let customization run(not knowing that it screws everything up with gps). My current radio is 3.37.78 which I've read isn't bad but again I want gps since verizon disabled it. I've read the gps fix and I'm confident to do all that is required to make it work that I got from here

My question is since i have the radio which some people have and like and i do everything thats supposed to be done and end up with the same radio, can I unlock with 2.31 coke Flash Verizon ROM RUU_Vogue_VZW_WWE_3.14.605.1_Radio_3.37.78 do not let customization run then flash NFSFAN's custom wm6.1 rom and do agps fix. Will that work?
I dont want to down grade my radio to just upgrade it again if i dont have to and I read that someone did just that and got it to work. Many thanks in advance

you have to downgrade your radio to a pre-gps one. Just unlocking & reflashing the stock rom is not enough.
i just got my diamond 2 days ago but i dont know where to start with roms, spls, radios to have the latest software
i have a htc dream rooted and everything but this phone is very different

guys, I have been reading and searching using search tool here in the forum. I don't mean to flood this forum as there are more people around need help. Please try as much as you can to start reading.
I have been looking through this forum and havent come across exactly how to install a new ROM on my t-mo dash... So I am sorry if these are dumb questions... But I do have a touch pro 2 and they explained to me how to install a new ROM on it. Is it the same concept for the Dash? Do I have to flash it with an SPL? If someone could explain all this to me it would be appreciated, or if you could direct me to a part of the forum that will assist me. I want to change the ROM on my dash for practice before I do my TP2...

The choice if HSPL is yours most people don't but is available in sticky, the noobs guide to flashing is there too.

Hey guys and gals, I have the ATT note 2. I want to bring my phone over to T-mobile...and, I'm not quite sure what I need to do. I've searched around and I don't think I found an exact answer / guide on what specifically needs to be done. And I'm not positive that what info I did find was in date.
I'm running Dirty Unicorns for my rom, so I'm off touchwiz. What else is needed besides the obvious new sim? Is it as simple as flashing a new radio?

Well I am on Wind Mobile, which is T-mobile north
All I had to do was do the AWS mod. If you look in my threads there is one that has the link to to the site that gives a step by step. There are a few threads that give there. It opens up the bands you need to use.
