I've searched w/o success on this annoyance.
From time to time I'll get a message that suggests things have changed on the server and the handheld needs to be synced. I may not have the wording correct here. When I select "Yes", and allow this sync to happen, all the numbers in my call history are stripped of names, leaving only the numbers. Not a deal breaker, just annoying. Anyone else find this? If so, what's the cure?
Thanks in advance for any help here.

Please don't flame me if this has already been asked a million times, but I've searched and browsed the forums unsuccessfully for an answer to my problem with no success...
I'm having a problem with the caller ID in my PDA2K. When I recieve phone calls, very often the person's name doesn't appear with the number even though they are in my Contacts. It happens at random, it seems, but its been happening very often lately. Is there an update I should install or something to fix this? I have never updated anything except with the ROM file that I-Mate provides on it's site (which hasn't changed in ages) and the One-Way call bug fix.
Also, while I'm asking... when I set unique ringtones in photo contacts they tend to work at random as well. Is there any known fix for that too?
Thanks in advance.

Got some very annoying problems with rhodium here. First of all - choosing different number than primary for some contacts doesn't work - the phone still tries to call the primary number. Next thing - extension numbers that definitely worked before stopped working the very day I got rhodium - anybody else experiencing this problem? Finally - I want to put the number that I got in text msg to my address book. Can't find the way. Plz help me a bit or I'm gonna dump that phone down the toilet where it belongs. Grrrrr, god it pissed me off today....
I can only help you with the last problem: When someone sends you a phone number via text, it should be highlighted. Then you hold down, and press save to contacts, or copy and paste it into an existing contact. If it is not highlighted, the people who sent it to you are probably leaving the area code off.
first of all which contact interface you use? touchflo 3d's contact or windows mobile own contact?
i think you use touchflo 3d's contact interface, which i never use.
Instead i use wm's own contact interface. it doesnt have the problem you mentioned. click on the contact name, all the numbers will come up,then you click on any number you like,it will dial, see nowhere i find the problem as per your description.
you can use keyswop to change left softkey(calendar) to wm's contact.
Nokiadashi,
Are you just trying to increase your post count for some reason? Your moronic posts are annoying with the large blue fonts, the cut and paste posts saying every problem is because of a ROM, and your useless "help."
Please learn some manners when posting
I second JReb's post & move to bannage if he keeps this up.
I copmpletely agree, Nokiadashi is just increasing post count, his posts arent helpful at all anyways. Get this moron off of XDA
Hi Guys - i've posted this in the HD7 specific forum too - please let me know if multiple posts is frowned upon and i'll delete it.
Anyway...
I've been searching and searching and I cant find anyone with the same problem as me, on WP7 or HD7. Basically the times are completely wack on the text messages i receive. The could be a few hours behind, or usually entire days behind, and my personal favorite, from the future.
No idea what's going on. Everything seems fine in the settings - been over them 100 times. I've seen it as being a common issue with some older phones, but nothing on the latest ones.
Has anyone had this? Or even better, does anyone know how to fix it? The text messages that I send are stamped correctly, so it's just the ones i receive. It looks like the phone is using the time sent from the carrier, and then applying some wacky timezone to it based off my timezone (which is Auckland, New Zealand).
Help!
I have this exact same problem.
My outgoing texts display the time correctly but incomg is off by something like 5 hours. I've searched the forums and google and haven't found anything myself.
Answer from Microsoft:
Time stamps for Text messages are encoded and sent from the carriers MMSC message system. If the time stamp is showing up wrong, that is because it is being encoded wrong from the carriers network. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done device side, you'll want to focus your attention on Rogers in this case.
I suppose other phones possibly counter this by just making the receive time the timestamp as well.

I've never had such an extreme case with a five hour time difference, but it does happen with some incoming texts.
I remember I sent my sis a text at 1:43pm and she replied and the timestamp said 1:38pm. So maybe it depends on the person your texting and how their time is set up?
Well that's a pain. I read that reply from Microsoft too, but it's pretty unhelpful. To be honest using the date stamp from the carrier seems like a poor decision, or at least not having the option to chose, as far as the user is concerned the only date / time they care about is the one on their device.
I guess i'll have to wait and see if someone comes up with a way to change this on the phones, I see there is a way to do it on the WP6 phones.
Sorry if this has been answered, I've searched around but cannot find anything of the sort (if I am not searching hard enough, I apologise in advance.)
So I've been using the Galaxy Nexus hardcore for a while and I'm impressed by everything. Battery life is highly impressive and the screen is brilliant. The ONLY problem I'm having is that sometimes I get an SMS and the contact name does not come up, which is annoying as I then have to reply "Whose number is this" blah blah.
Anyway, the number is saved on my phone, but when the Contact Name is not displayed the number is +44xxxx xxxxx and I have the option to add that number, so it seems the phone is not recognizing that +44 number? Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this? It's getting a bit annoying with the Contact Name not coming up. If I reboot the phone the Contact Name is displayed on the conversation again :/
Ok so this is happening in the call log too. The number is showing but not the contact, but it only happens for a few of them and only sometimes. Anything i could do or steps I could try to get them to show up? Quite annoying not knowing who is who.
Thanks in advance.
Faz
I don't understand but sometimes the Contact Names decided to appear and other times they don't. Like take for example my friend Curt, he sent me an SMS but the name didn't come up, only his number starting in +44, then about an hour later his name mysteriously appeared again. In the Call Log this is also happening where number are shown but not the name.
Could this be somehow to do with the phone not recognizing number starting in '0' and '+44' because I think all the contacts I have on my WhatsApp, this does not happen with them and that's because WhatsApp saves them as +44.
I can't really go through and change all my contacts numbers to +44 but that might not even be the issue. Does someone have a clue. Any help would be MUCH appreciated as often I don't even know who it is that called me or texted me.
Thanks.
Faz.
