White screen issue...not fixed after replacing lcd....:-/ - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Hi.
After disassembling my working blueangel to replace the housing i found that the screen on the first boot was white. I disassembled again the device and reassembled it and screen worked but sometimes when i was pressing the power button to wake it from standby screen was white for 1 or 2 sec and then was ok.
But after 2-3 days i opened and closed the keyboard and screen became white...and never worked again.
So i replaced today the screen with another one from ebay (which doesn't look new to me.....:S) and screen is still white. :-/
Can i do something else?
Thanks!..
P.S. Also sometimes screen was becoming white through a fade from the normal screen. 'Fade to white'.. graphics subsystem?..

After spraying the motherboard with a contact cleaner spray, monitor turned on for 2 sec and then faded into white.

My blue angel was finally fixed.
Using the contact cleaner spray the motherboard was freezing and the screen was turning on for 5 sec and then was fading into white again.
So...i removed the backup battery and placed it into a refrigerator for 3-4 hours. Then i placed it back to the phone.
And it worked!!
After one week i replaced the backup battery with a new one and everything is ok. It's working fine now for about a month With my old screen..so i have a backup lcd.

[Q] DInc totally futzed? Probably...

...but it doesn't hurt to ask. I got an old first-day-out DInc that I was using for streaming music (hasn't been a phone in a while). Roughly a year ago, it took a half dip in a toilet. When that happened, my screen started having a blue tint occasionally but I could bend it slightly and the pressure would snap it back. Long story short, never smart to do that to inflexible items, duh. That stopped working a few months ago and I was stuck with a blue tinted screen. This morning I got two bright lines and a screen freeze, so I pulled the battery and restarted and voila! Nothing but a white line and/or the Matrix and when it boots into the OS, the system bar is in the middle of the screen and it doesn't work.
I attached a photo and I was wondering if anyone had any idea about what part could be at fault and if it's even remotely worth it to try and fix it?
Thanks!

Screen not working?

So my screen hasn't been working for awhile (the backlight will light up but there is only black), but the phone still works; I can play music when I press where "play" should be on the lock screen, and etc. I've only recently decided to try and replace it.
I ordered a screen from eBay and it arrived today... here's where it gets interesting. After replacing my old LCD screen with the new one, the screen no longer lights up. I took it apart again and made sure I didn't miss any connections, but everything seems in the right place. Does this mean the problem is not the screen? Or maybe a faulty replacement screen? Any ideas?

[Q] LCD not working after screen replacement

I dropped and cracked my glass last week. Yesterday I had a guy replace the glass, and it worked fine afterwards for several hours. This morning when I woke up I find that the display won't turn on, though the touch buttons light up fine, and the glass is separated a little from the LCD. Actually, sometimes if I power off the phone for a few minutes then turn it back on, it the display will flash "SAMSUNG" for a second before going off as it boots.
So did the guy damage my LCD? Is it possible that it just has a loose connection or something?

Sounds like loose connection. I would go back to that guy and get him to fix it/take a look at it.

[Q] black / white lcd

so i fixed a crack 2 days ago using LOCA and replacing the screen. everything worked fine for a day. the net day i switched roms. everything worked fine until the evening when my phone's lcd wouldnt turn on, i could hear i was getting messages and i could unlock it reboot it no problemm but still a black screen.
i fiddled with it a bit hoping it was a loose cable and nothing, tried several times, even tried drying it in a hot dry place. nothing during one of the attempts the screen actually raected and turned white with random black lines. it changed brightness as the phone booted. i decided to leave it overnight in hope of improving it. but now its black again.
my questions are: is this a hardware malfunction? could the LOCA be shorting some connecitons? perhaps i could try dunking it in pure alcohol and leave it to dry hoping it cleaned something? and could i test the lcd with a samsung galaxy s2 (looks like they have the same connection)?
Maybe you should post this in the screen replacement/repair thread in General?

Nexus 5x screen replacement problem

After screen replacement of my nexus 5x it worked the first time. After a couple of minutes suddenly the screen at the bottem became very hot and the screen stopped working when trying to poweroff/on again.
Since then I'm not able to make it work again.
When trying to poweron it is a backlit black screen that becomes hot at the bottom ( where the headphone jack is sitting )
Could this be a connection problem or is the digitizer simply broke ?
Rgrds,
Bump.
After replacing my screen I got a "fizzle" noise and the regular beeping. Then turned backlit black and got very hot. I had no idea WTF was going on with it. So I put my cracked screen back on and everything is back to normal. But I would like to get that new screen on permanently.
Any tips on this would be helpful thanks in advance.
