I'm sorry to ask that, but is there a working ROM for vogue that successfully ported the GPS or the WiFi from another device to the Vogue?
There is no roms with Rev. A yet.
There will never be internal WiFi, maybe someday we'll have WiFi with a microSD card, but we will never have internal wifi.
OK for Wifi but doesn't the No2Chem nueROM-V suppose to activate GPS? But is it working in Vogue? "V" is for Vogue.

No. None of the custom Vogue ROMS activate the Vogue's GPS chip.

After the flash I tried to use live maps....I already *228 (Option 1 & 2), setup phone location on, gps h/w port, program port , baud rate, etc. GPS in live did not work!
I then tried Valhalla GPS thing...Still nothing!
I did a clear storage which formats everything...(let custimizations run this time!) Did the *228, location, h/w port, program port, baud, etc...Tried live maps...nothing........Installed Valhalla....Nothing!!! Nothing Nothing!!
I was successful last week with this by figuring out my phone was on 911 only and gps locked instantly...that phone was cracked and broken and had to be sent back. I know this should work...but I am stumped! Please Help me!

For some reason it works!
It wasn't working at all...I didn't touch it & went to sleep...I woke up & the FRIGGIN' thing works great!

What exactly are you trying to figure out?
I am presuming you are trying to use GPS on your Touch (XV6900)? Do you have a live data connection? If you do not have a data connection, perhaps Verizon has data block on your phone, then aGPS (Valhall CAB) wont work.
By the way, the leaked ROM was from phonenews.com. This was an official Verizon ROM, therefore you dont have to worry about letting customizations run. I am runnig this exact ROM and works great so far. Verizon simply has not made it "official" as of yet. When they do finally put it out there for all of us XV6900 users you can find it on

This is not the official rom by far.....everyone has reported the gps does not work and the rom is incredibly sluggish

The ROM is perfectly working, with all the customization, and the GPS works perfectly in google maps or live maps after using the vallalha fix. Been using it since it was posted and just installed manilla2d to replace the cube and it works a treat.

yup just flashed the verizon unofficial 6.1 rom, so far seems stable and data is fast.
Opera works good also. I havent reinstalled all my apps yet to see if there are any problems there.
Installed vahalla gpsfix, google maps and livesearch get locks on 6-10 satellites in 3-5 seconds in my house!
Installed vznavigator from vzstart.
VZNavigator fails because it checks provisions and verizon hasnt enabled its use yet.

If you check ppcgeeks where everyone has been talking about it, no one on verizon could get it to work straight out of the box
Everyne has reported problems with it, and no I have Sprint....do you have verizon?

I was skeptical about it , but since I'm getting a replacement I flashed. Works great, GPS fix too!

It works great , gps locks on google maps and live search in 10-15 seconds
and rom is very fast and stable , data is alot faster with Rev A.
hey UnlockMe what version of manilla2d did you install? I'm interested in installing. Also can it be uninstalled safely to go back to stock?

Well, I can confirm that with this ROM my device is in fact sluggish, and the GPS most certainly does NOT work out-of-the-box (maybe with the exception of VZNavigator), and I didn't have any luck with the Valhalla GPS deal.
I've since gone back to my custom ROM and still can't get GPS working - I suspect because once firmware is written you can't roll it back?

version 20 I think, whatever was the last stable version.
You can't uninstall it without a hard reset though, at least that's what the doc says, didn't try it.
After using manilla for a while now, I think the cube is much more efficient. Not as sleek as manilla, but I lost a lot in productivity by removing the cube and am considering going back.
Hey not sure if this is a question I can ask or not here but can someone point me in the right direction to get this rom. And will I need to re authenticate the phone after flashing?

P.S. I'm a little late on this update, but I was able to update my wifes XV6900 w/ the original leaked rom (with customizations) and enable GPS for use w/ GoogleMaps using the Valhalla fix.

Do you mean A-GPS or GPS. You can test GPS with every Rom if you use the HTC GPS Tool. It´s almost here, you only have to use the search button.

Looks really great. I like it much more than previous ROM But WiFi isn't working correctly At the begining I can switch on WiFi, Asus find some WiFi networks and then WiFi connection disappear. It looks like that Asus don't have WiFi card It's not possible to turn WiFi on (WiFI "on" option is grey and in the connections menu: Phone, Bluetooth and WiFi, option WiFi disappeared). After reset WiFi can be again switched on, some networks could be find and then, during connecting WiFi card again disappear. Any ideas?
OK, after 5 or 6 resets WiFi is working. But signal strength is really poor, much more smaller than previous. And once Asus was didn't react for keys - reset key helped.

I'm really sure that setup is ok As I wrote - it looks like disappearing WiFi card. But I found some topics with the same problem.

on pda mobiz a guys have a problem with it and this problem came of setup wifi

Heh, setup is ok - for sure - but I found a topic with registry key which should be imported to the device in the case of problems with WiFi (I found it on this forum) and then works great. I don't know why it happen. I test 3 or 4 roms (only for this WiFi issue) and some of them are ok from the begining but with some of them this registry key should be imported and then works also fine

Till now only my Asus had problems with your ROM and WiFi. But not only with your ROM my Asus didn't want cooperate with - as I said I checked few ROMs. I used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=378907&highlight=p535&page=19 post #188 It helped with 6.1 ROM (I found it after downgrading) but I think that it can help also with 6.5 ROM.

hmm.. what do you mean? I have used some program for registry editing and import this registry key.. It was after downgrading to 6.1.

It wasnt working in a lot of ROMs, I just switched to NRG's newest one and its working fine now. I think you need to set weather to auto update etc.
Im using the newest radio but dont know if that makes any difference.
I used the radio you have, but all I seem to get is connection error whilst trying to collect the data only for my location. Can you provide any help?

NRG's newest leo ROM? What update are you refering to? Are you from the UK? & can you state what version number your radio is pls?
I don't think it's got anything to do with your radio. I'm on Dutty's Leo R4 and 'My Location' only works when I have wifi turned on in comm manager. (It doesn't need to be connected, just as long as it's on). Hope that helps.

The only thing I can suggest now is to check the ROM thread. Find out if you are the only one having this problem of if it's a general issue with the ROM itself. Sorry I couldn't help more but I'm sure you'll be able to find your answer there or atleast someone who can give you more options. Good Luck.
Try setting your location on the time config (to your city) and make sure that auto update on the weather tab is enabled.
Works fine for me in Milton Keynes using NRGZ Manilla 2.1.

After months of trying different settings using the stock TMoUS radio, I finally flashed to radio 4.46.25.24 and YEESSSSSSSS!!!!!
Location finally worked!!! Remember that you have to slide the 3G to off so you can have EDGE, it updates every 15min(depends on your setting). Let T-mobile automatically setup your settings. This is for the Energy ROM Leo 2.5

I have the same ROM and same radio but My Location only works for me if the wifi is turned on but not connected to any hotspot. Even works on HSPDA, the problem is that I don't like to have the wifi on all day because it drains my battery. I tried in other towns around where 3G is not available and it works, but here doens't work even if I turn off 3G.
I cannot connect to any GPS satellites using any program.
When using the HTC GPS Tool it shows that it can satellites everywhere it will just never fix on any of them.
I have tried several ROMS and this does not seem to be the problem.
It was working when on the OEM ROM and even on several other cooked ROMs I had tried. It stopped working when I switched from EnergyROM w/ 2.5 to the Official European 6.5 ROM. Since that ran so much smoother I thought it would be allright without GPS but now I am really missing this feature.
So i decided to go with a clean 6.5/2.1 ROM and chose the Timor ROM. This still didn't fix my problem. Now i went back to the last working ROM that had GPS and again no luck. So idk if this is a hardware or software problem.
ALSO i tried two different radios, both which had previously worked.
4.45.25.05 and 4.45.25.17
No luck with either.
I WANT MY GPS BACK!
Any help would be appreciated.

Try this one. It's the version I use and like.
GPS works for me on Radio version 4.49.25.91. It didnt work on 4.49.25.77.
BTW, I also have Tmo TP2

Really? wow... .77 is the radio that -- for me -- works best for GPS.
But anyway, the HTC GPS Tool makes any radio work better for GPS.
