Yes it is.
Remember you are in "Excalibur" forum not only a WM 6.1 forum.
yup installed it on my memroy card and works on the dash. Replaced old icons in the office mobile folder with the new ones
what rom are you using?

Should I use the Cingular version if i'm using the unlocked 8525 on T-mobile USA or the TM UK version?
Just look at the threads for the respective ROMs and decide for yourself. Those threads list the major features. We can't tell what's best for you. If you want the latest and greatest, go with the new LVSW ROM or Black 3.0 which should be out within a day or so. Since you have T-Mobile USA, use the generic versions (not Cingular, not TMo UK) and make sure to install the 8525 keyboard fix CAB.

Otherwise get it from the brand of the phone's site. e.g. tmobile, rodgers etc..
Thanks for your reply. Actually I have Audiovox SMT 5600 and the WM version supported in that cellphone is WM 5. So I want to upgrade from WM 4 to WM 5. Do you know any where on the web, I can get WM 5(I did a lot of research but couldn't find it)

First of all no such OS as wm4... im pretty sure you have wm2003 or wm2003 se edition.
Oh yeah, you are correct. It is WM 2003. Do you know any website from where I can download the copy for WM 5.

Yes you can, I tried many 6.1 ver. softwares on my 6.5 wmobile.So go without fear....

I saw under one of the 6.5 versions of the Diamond ROM that apparently you can't flash it onto a version 6.1 Diamond. Is this true?

I have tried to cook a WM6.5, but Samsung display drivers does not work with new windows and there are some other things that does not go well.
Maybe I will try once again when official WM6.5 Standart will appear.

That would be something. I have a i617 and it's using a cooked 6.5 ROM, but its clock doesn't auto update and its task manager sucks. So I am going to flash it back to 6.1
