Display is just white - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Hi there.
I was given a BA and when I start it, the display just keeps white.
But I can connect w/ Active Sync and start Soti Pocket Controller and everthing works fine.
Does anyone know how to fix that?
Is it a display problem or just a connection problem?

Sounds like the LCD display is broke. Chances are you'll have to replace it. Cheapest I've seen them for is ~$80

White screen, cable problems, unusable BA... Please help!! Thank you!

Hi all! I hope I'm not disturbing here, but I'm quite desperate with regards to my poor BA... After replacing the display about a year ago (the touch-sensitive layer had broken) everything was going well, but something bad has been happening for some months now, and I think it has come to the point of no-return...
At first, when I slid the BA open, there would be a point in which a change in the colors on the display happened, as if the the Red and Blue channels worked well while the Green one was dim (as noticeable during the boot process). Then, opening it completely, it came back to the normal state. The situation worsened, sort of "interference" could be seen while opening the BA, the touchscreen would lose calibration after some openings and closings and so on...
Now the worst: when I turn it on, the screen is completely blank and white; sliding it back and forth would once get it to work, but now it is completely useless. About halfway between the open and closed positions the backlight itself turns off and then on again. It is impossible to see anything and it is unusable!! I opened the BA and made sure everything was connected, I re-connected the LCD and the touchscreen cable but nothing changed... I don't know what to do...
Does anyone have any suggestions? Can I try to repair it or to have it repaired, or, as it is a bit visibly used, should I resign myself to saying it goodbye?? Thanks for your patience and help...
News!! I rried to replace the new screen with the old (broken touchscreen) one, and that one works. Save for a problem, the green colour is lightly dim in the exact positions in which the backlight goes off with the "new" but not working display... Does anyone have an explanation for this behaviour? Thanx again!!

New LCD Screen does not work.

I have put in a new LCD screen into the device and it refuses to power up.
I can still hear wm6 in the background loading with all my reminders etc.
The old screen is cracked but still powers up etc.
Any ideas?
Fixed the problem.
I had to make sure all the contacts were touching for the LCD screen to work properly.
I guess during the cracking it bent something....

disassemble screen as monitor

Hi
Does anyone know if a disassembled screen from a ppc can be connected to pc vga port as an additional monitor?
Has anyone seen the pin connections for the screen connector?
thanks.

Help! - Screen not working

I've replaced my broken screen with a new one and it doesn't work. It lights up in black with a few pixels in different colours but nothing more. The same happens now with the old screen after I put it back. I guess the rest works fine because I can synchronise with ActiveSync.
Can anyone tell me where I went wrong with the replacement procedure? Is there anything I can do now?

Ext. touchscreen w/ Chromecast almost working/question

Hi,
I recently inherited a 21" Acer touchscreen LCD and thought I would look into whether it could act as a touchscreen-capable projection screen for my Pixel XL. After reading around a bit (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1294268) I figured it just might be possible to get it working by casting my screen to the display via Chromecast and simply connecting via USB between the phone and display.
Well, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it works. Sort of. The only problem is that the orientation of the external touchscreen points is off, no matter what orientation I put the phone in. It seems as though what might get it working is either an option on the Acer display to rotate into portrait mode or an option within the phone/Chromecast to force a fullscreen portrait mode. Neither of these things seems to exist.
Does anyone have experience working with an external touchscreen set up this way? If so, have you figured out how to get the external display's touch points synced properly with the phone's? Any help is appreciated!
