Hi,
I've looked all over the web for a solution to my problem but I'm unable to find one. Put simply, I had SDHC cards working with my phone this morning, I decided to upgrade to the latest firmware given out by Orange - now I can't use my SDHC card anymore. I've tried the same method as I used previously to make this work but I'm unable to replace SDMEMORY and SDBUS dlls as access to them is denied.
Please advise.
Thanks,
John

miniSDHC car is not visible in the File Explorer or on the PC wia ActiveSync. it was visible under previous WM 6 ROM which was the early, leaked version. now after installing new Dopod Asian WWE version, the card is no longer detected unfortunately, I don't have a USB card reader for HC cards, so I can't format it right now. any suggestions on the fix? anyone else seen high capacity card not being detected? thx!

Oh no, this is not good news. I thought that they would have sorted all of the card issues with the new rom...shame on HTC!
I tried the new ROM and I used the 4GB Tanscend MiniSD HC and it was working fine!!!!!!!!! No problems at all!
My 4GB SDHC was working fine with official rom until it bricked.
Now it's impossible to access it in any device.
my problem continues. hard reset and reinstall didn't help. looks like the problem is with the card.
anyone knows any SDHC USB card readers to format this pain in the neck? thx!

Guess the answer is somewhere, perhaps someone can point me in the right direction, how do you upgrade an Orbit to take an 8gb memory card? Thanks.
Get the SDHC patch, install it, soft reset and then insert the card. If you use the search function or look through the first two or three pages of the Artemis sub-forums you'll notice that you are not the first that asked this question
Flashed mine with Meschle Touch flash and bought an 8 GB Sandisk microSD, working perfectly.
I bought a Sandisk 8gb MICROSDHC card for my phone but the phone refuses to work with it. I've tried flasing my Orbit today which is on WM5 btw with the SDHC_WM6WM5.zip from this web-site but I'm having no luck. I can run the two cab files which look like there doing something, I then reboot the phone but still the phone does not see the memory card. The Windows folder within the SDHC_WM6WM5.zip has two files in there one called sdbus.dll and sdmemory.dll. According the the txt file within the zip file I am supposed to extract both the files to my windows directory on the main memory of the phone but unfortunately I cannot because on one of the files the SDBUS.DLL it complains of it being used by the system. I've tried reboots on the phone, factory defaulted it back, safe mode (kicking it), but still no joy.
PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP!!
Use this file: http://members.cable24.at/immogroup/HTC-P3300/SDHC-Artemis.cab and then soft reset.
If you ever upgrade your firmware be sure to take out the SDHC card - otherwise it won't even go to bootloader correctly.
Thanks for the link Registerme it's all sorted now.

Thanks very much for this I can now put my tunes on the phone without removing my maps and charts
i just got a new sdhc card from microcenter 8gb. when i downloaded the sdhc program and installed it on my phone everything worked fine. the only thing was the card registered in the memory manager only 3.6 gb on the motorola q (my phone). i disregarded it and used a usb card reader to sync my library from windows media player on the computer. when i put the card back in the q, and updated the library, it only showed about 20% of what the computers says is on the card. when i went to the file manager, i could see all of the artists though but with no songs inside the folder. i found one song that i cant see in media player on the phone and tried to play it from file manager but it says critical error: cannot play item due to low or failing memory. ive tried resetting multiple times. this cannot be normal but can someone give me something to try or is anyone else having these problems
Here are 2 basic MS KB that will address windows issue
These two KB's may address your Windows issue, hince, could ultimately fix your phone issue; Requires that a patch be downloaded from microsoft, Microsoft KB923293 to use SDHC in a built-in SD slot for laptop/desktops. If you go with a card over 4gb, you will need Microsoft KB934428 (XP doesnt recognize over 4gb of SDHC).
im trying to run an sdhc card on my phone not my computer. so if you have a 'kb' for that tell me but i doubt it
i have windows mobile 5.0 on a moto q

I have the same problem. I bought myself an 8gb SDHC card, not knowing that my device wouldnt recognize it.
Has anyone, yet, found a way to run sdhc on the HTC Wizard? I saw a lot of comments that this isnt a hardware problem, but software, and still none of them saying an exact way to do it, or if its impossible. ...
I`m using the MSD WM6.5 Rom
;
someone said that one of the ways to enable sdhc on ur device is to install a rom that supports it - is there one for the wiza?

i've found the problem.
It is "hardware" thing, probably sdhc are bigger by ~ 0,5 mm and you must try couple of times to put card the right way.
By the way, you also need Artemis sdhc driver (cab file).
Hi,
I have created a gold card, and at first it was working fine, however I had to format it for all kind of reasons.
After the use as a normal SD card, I wanted to upgrade to a different Rom, so I had to create the gold card again. I did, but now it seems not to be working as it is intended. Using the RUU exe of HTC the program report Error 131 customer id. Looking in the different forums I conclude that the gold card is not recognized as gold card. I have rebuild it several times, even tried other gold images with different cards, so I recreated the cards all over again, but still no luck. Even tried to do it via different machines and SD readers, but no luck.
Is there a way to determine that the gold card is working properly, or to check it before you start upgrading to a different Rom?
Hope someone has an answer, or is triggered by my question to build a application to check the gold card.
Regards
Gerard
Hi there, I'm guessing you are rooted. I don't believe u need the goldcard to put a different Rom on yr device. I created mine before I rooted then when that all went well I took it out and put a bigger card in. I simply store Roms I like on the SD card and install them via fakeflash or download via Rom manager. I have flashed several times successfully without it

Hi there,
Yes my phone is rooted, but I was able to upgrade to 1.21 using RUU from HTC with the gold card coming from 1.19 vodafone. Now I want to go to 2.09 or to another ROM, and I am not able to do so, because of the Customer ID error 131. The official update OTA 2.09 is in a loop after downloading, so that is not working either.
I think I can upgrade using a gold card, however gold card creation is not working as explained in my first post.
Thx for your support, and hope to get answer to my first post.
