hi,i found this WisBar is the leading task management software(skinable)
for the PocketPC and i ve tired it.its really cool.
so i just wanna share with u guys and hope u like it

Wisbar is good, but slows down my BA alot. It tends to mess up quite alot too. Like sometimes certain bubbles won't open. Also, the alert icon isn't specific (ie. no way of telling whether you have a missed call/message/low battery/GPRS connection just by looking)
I find that you spend as much time double checking things using wisbar as you would just closing all the apps separately.

wisbar is a great skinning program but not a very good task manager.
i am actually waiting for the version that disables all features except for the skinning ability.
this is actually a frequently requested add-on

I tried this and it killed my ringtone. I could not tell when someone rang me it did not even show up a missed call is this common or just me?

you have to get the latest version. go to the lakeridge site and enter the forum.there you will find the latest build that works.

currently i'm using wisbar advance 2.4.1.8 along with wisbar advance desktop beta .07
It's running pretty stable and it takes less memory usage than spb pocket plus.

Wow, seriously guys, i think this wisbar adv. v2 is kinda cool, i mean there is so much more you can do with it than what u normally can with default ppc software, i got a m2000 and it works well. It used to lock up forcing soft resets really often, but now i upgraded to v2.4.1.8 and i cant even remember when last it locked up.
I really think this is a program worth getting...
well done to Chris McKay and Lakeridge Software for this awesome program...well done guys

For Those Who Wanted An iPhone ROM, Heres A CAB That Should Do Most Of What You Want.

How is the response time of the OS after install....much slower than WM6 withouth this or...?

Gooooood question!
I'd like to take look, just fer ****s & giggles ye know? don't wanna screw up my current install now. I'm in far too happy a place, ROM wise

Already tried it out...but it is useless for me...respons...like 3-5 sec after tapping a button...5mb less free RAM...this is too much for me..

All I can say is that the Dialer will not work correctly on 8252 with CIN 3.5.2. There are some alignment issues with numbers.
Also it's impossible to enter the settings for the skin and PHONE icon not linked correctly.

Why is this in the WM6 forum? Does the CAB only work on WM6?

It probably doesn't belong in this topic, but why don't we try and change that?
Would there be interest in making a WM6 ROM that looks and acts almost like an iPhone? I can see there being some disadvantages and no doubt a lot of people will miss the today screen, but there might be a few people interested none the less.
Maybe it would be better to keep it as an "iPhone CAB" with everything on it, so that users can try it and remove it quite easy?
What other programs would we need in the ROM do you think?
I'm thinking it would be good to try and embed Piscel Browser, or similar at least, so that you have the fancy finger scrolling on websites.
Maybe we could add the ringtones as well....

Problems with Dialer
This is my first post, can you put xelashiu WM6 version of the dialer in the cab file. because of the problems with key pad numbers lining up, otherwise great app Many Thanks

Great cab, I was just looking forward to install a cab like these, but has only problem with the dialer, I hope can be fix. Thank you for the great work.

This CAB is very nice, but it was eaier to configure an iPhone theme using WAD with all the godies. Plus, you can put the icons wherever you want and add or delete them.
Unfortunately WAD is buggy and creates a soft reset from time to time. Other than that it's a nice app to play with!

I really like the start for this app... iContact is my favorite cause its a Stylusless UI. Now if everything else is ported it would be awesome!!! The dialer is a good start too but really needs work with simplifying it. It doesn't need to be that complicated and the look can be polished too. I'm willing to work on it with the developer if you need more of my feedback. I'm an interface designer by trade so please use me
I AM WILLING TO PAY IF SOMEONE WERE TO MAKE THE ENTIRE iPHONE OS AS A CAB OR WM6 REPLACEMENT!

Opal phone canvas slide to answer question

I'm loving NFSFAN's new Bell ROM, but i'm not crazy about the slide to answer on the phone canvas.
I'm looking for a way to replace the slide to answer / ignore with buttons instead of a slider while keeping everything else the same.
I've researched different skins for this dialer (there are some cool looking ones out there!!) but none of these change the slider.
Any help would be appreciated.

I've now been using NFSFAN's ROM for a few days now.
Must say i've gotten quite used to the dialer. I like all of the other features. Especially the "in call curtain". While i'm still not in love with slide to answer I understand the concept of why it was created. If I want to press a button that's what the hardware key is for!!
I wasn't really looking for a new dialer, but i've learnt the slide is an integral part of the package.

In NFSFAN's words, the data connection is not active during a call, it just breaks the data errors.
The dialer is included in his ROM, i'm not really sure if the same one is found anywhere in CAB format. A quick google search for "opal slide to answer CDMA" should yield some results for you.

thanks jmitr for your patient answer and the links to the solutions.. really really appreciate your patience and yes I just installed it and working fine now.. love the new dialer...

i spoke too sooon... i installed the complete cab by mbarvian and then tried juggaloo's cab but it was for VGA graphics, i tried mbarvian and conflippers cab but that messed up everything...
just mbarvians cab - didn't display the incall screen properly.... it was all greyed out...
now i can't find a single good cab which displays everything like it should... i don't want to do any more trial and error and find out... please help me on this ...
i dont mind not having the canvas - atleast i get a bigger picture on caller screen and thats all i want right now...

I know s2u2 has a large picture to answer the phone with.
I don't use it anymore, I found it drained my battery too fast. With NFSFAN's rom and the opal dialer it isn't really needed anyways.
Sorry none of the links led to anything fruitful, my only experience with this dialer is in the custom ROM. Must say it has grown on me though!!

I've been using this on my Sprint Touch for months now with out any issues. Here's a link for a post I have up at PPCGeeks for you to check out . Please let me know if you have any problems. If you don't want the lock feature, don't install Albert's cab...

I had trouble getting the dialer to work initially also. It seemed to be tied to the rom build that something changed after the 20XXX rom build was released. If I used anything earlier it wouldn't work. If your on a stock rom that may be part of the issue. Not sure, but just my experience in fixing the issue.

It is tied to a shell component.

Hey thanks for the reply NFSFAN, the slide to answer was the only part of your ROM that I didn't really like......at first. I couldn't imagine going back to the old dialer now.
It is good to learn what's possible and what's not though, thanks again for the answer.

Codes don't work for me on the verizon beta rom. Is it just me or do you have to use the folder rather than the dialer?

Auto-lock on Power off

This seems like a stupid question, also to me...
But, I wasn't able to find a solution without installing a thirdy part software with a GUI or using the "lock device with PIN" function.
Is there a way to automatically lock the TP2 (just turning it off with the top button and/or when by itself goes standby) exactly as when I hit for two seconds the "end call/home" hardware button?

We use to be able to auto-lock as recent as the original Touch Diamond with just a simple registry edit.
For whatever reason, we can't do the same for the current generation of devices. That being said, try DeviceLock or SmartLock. They utilize the default WinMo locking mechanism and uses no RAM or CPU cycles.

Ah, I actually meant LockDevice which is posted above by pistou. And you got the correct SmartLock link.
Fyi, I prefer SmartLock, but both of them really do the same thing...

At the end I tried "SmartLock" and does exactly what I need... and a lot more.

[TWEAK] make your unlock-slider response immediately

Some of you guys might share one issue that I have with my blackstone device:
when waking up the phone, the unlock-slider remains unresponsive for two or so seconds. Thanks to edwardandtubs this has been resolved now. There's a simple registry value that needs to be changed in order to make the unlock-slider response immediately after waking up the device.
That key is:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD]"FirstCalibration"
Change the value from "1" to "0", softreset and you're done. Or download the cab I made, install it and softreset your device. It will change the registry entry for you.
According to edwardandtubs it's best to softreset the device by using the stylus and the softreset button on the back of the blackstone rather than softresetting it via software..

Can confirm this works with EnergyROM 23569 Sense 2.5 May 16th Co0kie's Home Tab

i have hd with 6.1 stock rom ...
i have battle ,when i make a phone call ,to unlock it.
the lock icon , remained unresponsive and i had to keep on pressing..icon.. two or three times to get response...!
( problem is ...my phone is set by me, to turn off screen ..also i have a tweak ..to lock screen on top of that )
with this reg . tweak ,i hardly touch icon and it unlocks ..!!!!!
no delay ...

when i " wake " phone from sleep and unlock it ..
there is... no lag on the homescreen and homescreen response, is immediately and very smooth .......!!!

The guys who came up with that reg tweak deserve your props, mates. I just made an installable cab.

Just need a slider tweak that works nice and fast for htc sense on the blackstone, that can lag big time at times

cab is not working for me, using Energy.BLACKSTONE.23569.Sense2.5.Cookie.Jun.06.Release2. Tried again after hard reset, same result.
