Does anyone know of a generic GPS status icon for the header similar to the wifi one which could indicate status (on/signal no lock/locked signal)?
GPSgate has one for the icon tray but really looking for something in header

ooo that would be nice... i've not seen one with any programs, but should be do-able.
MSN Messenger adds header icons, so it can be done...

I am curious how to change the color of the signal bar icon. I have tried changing the pngs. in System UI but I get no status bar after. Please help me get away from the white signal bar icon. Thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure its either in the framework.apk or the htc.resources.apk
Where is the GPS icon that is displayed on the status bar when the GPS is in use?
Not the compass style "location services" icon but the actual GPS icon that displays when the GPS is in use.

The PNG is in systemUI.apk. res/drawable-hdpi/
Just look for the picture in there. If you search GPS in that folder, it should come up.

I was wondering if there was any weather widget which would stay on notification area (a bit iOS like) ...Did manage find a few apps which did it, but all of them need to have the temperature icon on my status bar, which i dont like....
is there any way i could get the weather in notification without adding on the status bar icon.!
any tips please?
AOKP rom has a simple weather text in notification header.
