After unlocking the mda .. best rom , many opperators &

Well i unlockd my mda pro (t-mobile NL) THNX BUZZ AND ALL THE OTHERS WHO MADE THIS POSSIBLE !!
As many i to had no umts with the radio 0.000.00.
So i went searching for a good rom.
I installed the complete imate rom "JASJAR_WWE_13076_164_10900_wwe_ship.exe" taken from http://buzzdev.net
After the LOOONG update i have some notes for many others.
When the rom is updated and your first install is running you can choose many opperators. EG: some opp from austria and all dutch opperators (o2 kpn t-mobile etc there are more but i was to exited so clicked my opperator and went further
i have noticed that this rom is much better than the orriginal t-mobile rom the speed of my mda pro is way better (before tomtom did 2 min before starting even with a cold boot now 10 sec and i;m ready.
Pocket msn works (integrated), i thought i try using this msn sinds all other versions failed , and it works !!
the dial pad is much nicer and the video button works like a charm.
skype is integrated and sind i use skype alot (i have unlimited data) .
Ive used spb pocket plus to force the X button not to close skype but minimize it so it's always running.
the boot time of the device is cut in half in comparisson with the original t-mobile rom.
When you choose you opperator in the install menu the only thing you have to do is set your gprs connection , that info you can find at the site of your opperator.
the only thing i can't tell you is , is stereo bt working i don't know sinds i can't test it.
This is my happy story , i hope some other ppl can do good expirience with this rom .
I can sure recomend it for the dutch t-mobile users , but i think that other countries can have the same results.

pause in dialstrings not possible?

Due to that problem, I've been in contact with HTC and O2 Germany.
O2 Hotline has no solution.
HTC says it works if you will put a 'p' into the number.
e.g. +4917955222p5 for the o2xda service hotline.
I've tried it,
also +4917955222w5
and +4917955222,5
but the orbit stops dialing always after the last '2'

perhaps it works with other radio versions?

It should work OK, mine has a similar number for voicemail using the access number and the "p" followed by the PIN code. Tried it in both speed dial and contacts and both work fine, this is with the UK version of Orbit ROM 1.25.206.2 and radio 02.67.90.
Have you tried setting up a contact to say another mobile number and adding the p plus some numbers to see if that works after the call is answered, that way it might prove whether its definitely a device issue?

no way at the moment. Might be due to the o2 germany sim card.

A noob question from someone who's not been around since Blue Angel days!

As subject I've not been around much since my Blue Angel was relegated to the glove-box for sat nav duties only. Since then I've had a few 'phone' phones, and I've also had a Vario II for a while. I've not really frequented here much because, well, it worked pretty well for what I use it for (mobile net surfing and being used as modem for my laptop). Anyway, my boss got a TyTN 2 and I had my first real look at WM6 - and I ended up here again!
Anyway, I've just flashed my Vario II with the HTC WM6 ROM from this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=320829 - so far so good... It's 'working' - Phone is functional - It seems stable - I took it to bits and fixed the broken power-button too!
...I do have one pretty big issue though - I only ever use this phone for Internet Explorer Mobile / Opera and then as a modem for my laptop...
At the moment it's not connecting to the net... I've tried to copy the settings from a friend's Vario II but no joy (unless there is a password for the user 't-mobile'?) When I first put my SIM back in I got an SMS from T-Mobile saying 'reply to this message and we'll send you mms settings' etc. - when I replied I get the 'use the PIN 1234 on the settings' message but then no message with settings arrives. I tried to send the same things from T-Mobile's website and still no joy. I have done a couple of searches on the board but unless I've spectacularly missed it I can't see anything.
...Does anyone at all know how I can get my phone to connect to 3G/GPRS again? (It'd be nice to see HSDPA too but I'll not push my luck!)?

No Phone/No Service

Hi all
I've got a problem regarding my Phone Service.
I woke up and my BA suddenly stopped blinking green on the Right led.
then i found out the icon saying no service.
i have been receiving service since i bought this phone,
this is just the first time it say something like this.
i tried everything upgrade/downgrade, changed sims and still it says that. "No Service"
i had put a sim PIN prompt so that i can detect if it's reading my sim.
it asks me for my pin but still... "No Service"
the one thing i noticed is that it doesnt scan anymore for services...
like the moving dots beside the antennae icon.
when i tried to bring out the option from the phone dialer it sometimes says "The phone is not ready. Wait 15 seconds and try again"
have anybody had this kind of problem? how did you solved it?

Never heard of this kind of problem...Try contacting your supplier.

It seems that this problem appears on coutries where 850Mhz GSM networks exist.
There some topics about this, but no definitive solution yet. Upgrading radio to 1.15.00 helps, but doesn't solve this.
Which country are you using your BA ? Do you know if those networks exists there ?

Location: Philippines
Im using BA (O2 XDA2s)
R 1.15
G Variable (Been changing back and forth to 2003 and WM6)
D Variable (Been changing back and forth to 2003 and WM6)
Tried to change band on 2003 but to no avail.
Now i've upped again to WM6 and still no signal...
one thing has changed though...
it starts searching for service(running dots) but now it wont stop.

It seems that there are not 850Mhz or 1.900Mhz bands in Philippines, however there is 3G and uplink in 3G is usually 1.900Mhz.http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/cou_ph.shtml
Which GSM bands are you using ? Did you try disabling 850 and 1.900 ?

i've been searching for a program to diagnose the phone module, but cant find any.
i only wish someone in the technical side can help us with this.

Have you tried the sim car on another phone and see if you get service? Or try a sim card from a working phone to see if it works.

i did.
i have my old trusty N6110 and N3210 for my backup.
i swapped sims but still only my BA wont cooperate.
i just want to know if there's a Test Mode for BAs.

I've been searching other forums and found complaints and claims that this is a bug in the GSM radio. I've found complaints about this problem with BA, Himalaya, Atom and i-mate Jam (don't know the last two phones).
I've downgraded my BA to 1.42.00 (WM2003SE) and installed the following cab: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=240080&page=2 (be careful, the .cab on the first page is a modified version).
After installed select band 900 / 1800 only that should solve the problem.
I've only been using it for less than 24 hours, but so far so good. It seems that this cab is only compatible with WM2003, but i haven't tried with WM5 or WM6.
If you want to try on your own risk go ahead. Please report the results you had.

Mine did this, freaked me the bleeding hell out, it did.
I tried:
A hard reset
A few soft resets
Leaving the battery out for a while (was checking against a known good phone to make sure it wasn't my carrier)
After that, it started working again.

Did you manage to run the .cab without errors ? Are you using WM6 ?
I can confirm to you that after using the BA with WM2003SE and this .cab for a week the problem has no longer appeared, so it seems solved on this OS anyway.

Thanks for all the help,
I tried every suggestions you said but still the phone aint working.
So i've decided to go look for a service center.
They said it was the mobo. *sigh*
I returned my item to where i bought it and exchanged it for a fee.
I got my semi-new BA again.
If ever that thing will happen... i know where to look.

Silver, did you tried this ? This is what worked for me.
I don't think the service center will solve your problem, i'm convinced that this a bug on the radio.

i have my new BA now... (still Xda 2s)

schaps full but no gprs/3g

well ive spent last few days fiddlin with this ex spv m3100,its flashed with schaps exelent rom,but ive been stuck trying to get the gprs/3g to conect,i keep getting the "Answering modem has disconected"and yep ive tried the cab file for o2 settings uk,also loads of settings from loads of pages here there and every were,its getting to the point were its going to go back on flebay,coz its doin my head in now....ps its an o2 pay n go usim that worked fine in an n70/a blue angel and lots of others.....ive read stuff tried stuff for days ,tried all the "answers" i could find every were....now ime screamin for help...HELLLLLPPPPPP..

If you want help you need to tell us everything, other than the ROM itself, what radio are you using at the moment?
And try to reconstruct your question to a more understandable state.

are you on pay as you go or contract?
reason: the settings are diffrent for o2 paygo and for contract.
there is a site called Filesaveas that has the settings
if you just google " O2 GPRS settings" it'll show in the result and has both o2 direct paygo and contract APN's and such
you could also goto o2's site even and have it sendthe settings for and o2 xda trion which is the same as the m3100

ok got the settings working now but it seems real week on 3g/edge,was wondering if i maby need a difrent radio rom? and ime on o2 payandgo,in uk
cant get settings via o2 direct as it was only ever a contract phone(o2 help line)but settings in now via a link on here...just real week to how it was b4

That's an old radio, find the more up to date radio that comes with WM 6 for your phone.
