I have a QTEK 1010 which has rom verson:4.01.16! i have checked all the form\ums for a positive response to unlock it, i would like to know if i can use the old ROM flashing method to unlock or is there anyother method to unlock this Pocket PC? any help will be appreciated.

you can't use the XDAunlock tool with any WM2003 ... so you have to down grade to PPC2002 or preferably to SER 1.2 .... but it depends on the RSU version as well ... if you have a recent one like 6.25.02 or A30 .. you will have to down grade the RSU too and this could be so risky.
I did many RSU flashing before with no problems but I consider myself very lucky ... so you better think more than twice!!

Tks for your reply, well i got your point about unlocking it, now can u gve me an pair of rom version & the RSu to downgrade to, os that my PPC is unlocked? well long time since i checked whether the word LUCK is with me or not ;-)

i have a 3.17.03 O2 euro rom and cooked several different rom from lumpistefan and still have the lock..
here is my device information :
ROM version : 3.17.03 ENG
Rom Date 05/15/03
Radio Version : 6.25.02
Protocol version 324e4
When you cooked the rom did you check the box for xdaunlock? Sometimes the xdaunlock program does not run automatically, if this occurs you need to look for the xdaunlock program on your phone and execute the file by double tapping.
i even run the xda developers special edition rom v.1.2 and still have the device locked.
i copied the xdaunlock program into the device and run it, "ERROR GETTING UNLOCK CODE" what could be wrong?? checked the bootloader and the GSM is OK.

cgigate, it would be much more helpful and more in keeping with the spirit of this forum if you told the guy how to unlock his phone instead of looking for business. I am not against you earning a living, but I dont think this forum was set up as a commercial venture. If it is impossible for the person to unlock the phone themself then obviously it is an option for him to send it to you to attend to.

I am new to this forum, I would like some help if at all possible with an xda 1. It is locked to 02 and needs something called a sid code?, I have read some posts on this forum and they do offer ways to unlock the code. But as I am very new to computers and also ppc's I am finding it hard to understand what I need to do, if anyone could send me simple to follow step by step instructions for a computer dummy that would be great. From the forums that I have read I am very worried that I will make my ppc un-useable, wipe it clean or make it die totally. Can anyone offer any help at all.

Should be aesy in your case....
1. Download http://wiki.xda-developers.com/uploads/XDAunlock.exe
2. Copy file to your xda
3. Run the xdaunlock file on your xda.
This should be all to unlock it.....

T-Mobile Pocket PC 2003
I have a US T-Mobile PPC 2003 and I cant use my UK T-Mobile sim card in it. I tried usind an O2 card but it asked me for an SID code, so I tried to use the XDAUnlock program but it just wont work? Does anyone have any ideas? I also tried using the Bandswitch program but that does not work either?

I have run the Xda Developers XDA11UNLOCK tool v1.2 it reads after opening the comm port The phone seems unlocked already ,but when i put a simm card in not O2 T-mobil etc it states ,network is locked ask's for code which i input 2040248 push ,ok,It then states incorrect code you have tried 2147467258 times,please wait until time out.HELP PLEASE in simple language as I am not that computor literate THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! :roll:

XDA II unlocking problem need help for reflashing
i have the same problem. me being so stupid paid GSM liberty 80 USD. and i am getting same message. we need help can somebody advise us what we are doing wrong.
my device is Atom Exec, and i tired to change the ROM to Chinese by using the following ROM from O2:

but i have something like "country id ???? device error", can any one help me this?
