you can check if your pda shows up as headset or audiogateway bluetooth profiles when you bound it with the pc

I think I've posted this question before (or am I dreaming?), but somehow, I can't find my original post
Is it possible to setup BA to appear as a Bluetooth input device (kbd/mouse) to a computer? That would mean to make it a HID-compliant device.
To re-iterate, I'm not interested in connecting external kbd to BA, i want the BA to be the keyboard for desktop computer!
Bemused is not quite what I'm looking for -- it's only for music and it's not native to Windoze Mobile.
Any ideas?
Mucho gracias!
OK, I think what I need is Bluetooth HID service on the phone.
I've applied BT patch from XDA-developers FTP and now in BT manager I have options to connect High Q Audio and External Keyboard, but that's about it.
Does anyone know which BT stack has it?
I have 1.40 Rom (WM2003) and Widcomm bluetooh
1.0.0 3900
thanks

Hi, I think its easy enough to do so. I use to do this with skype but the idea is the same.
First the bluetooth stack that windows has is no good. You gonna need another one with more profiles. I use the WIDCOMM bluetooth stack.
I dont now what hardware u have, mine was branded in device properties "blutonium" and its internal in my laptop, I search their site and downloaded the said drivers (stack). Now maybe urs maybe different... u should find one and the newest version the best. Use google or something...
Anyway, after installation I run the bluetooth configuration utility and after pairing my bluetooth headset with my laptop I shoose to use the profile "hands free audio" with my headset. Afterwards I open skype and in settings where u choose audio (in which the only option before was my sound card) now appeared the option of my wireless headset. After that the sound comes from my headset.
I think that u can choose to use the Artemis as a "hands free audio device" among others when u do the pairing.
The funny thing is that u can do the opposite and when pairing u can choose your PC to be Artemis' hands free audio meaning that... when u play an mp3 or someting on ur Artemis u can hear it through ur PC speakers... from 10 meters distance...
The only requirement is to have a new and feature-rich bluetooth stack.
Good Luck
Hey thanks a lot for the tip!
I'll try it out

i have a t-mobile mda3 Compact with PDAViet Black&Blue V3...
since i upgraded from WM5 to WM6 i can not sync to my PC over bluetooth..
can anyone with wm6 try this? maybe im only to stupid...
if it works.. pls tell me how...
thanks
Works just like it always did. Switched Bluetooth Radio on, started ActiveSync on my XDA and selected "Connect via Bluetooth" it than searched new Bluetooth Devices, found my Notebook with ActiveSync Service enabled and synced. Exactly the same as it was with WM5
doesnt work =(
that does not work for me... the following happens:
I enable bluetooth... open active sync and select connect via bluetooth...
A window pops up witch says : There is no Bluetooth Relationship with an ActiveSync enabled PC. Would you create a relationship.
If i click on Yes i get to the Bluetooth settings tab were i can enable / disable bluetooth.
If i create the bluetooth partnership myself, the same happens in Active Sync...
any ideas?? pls help me... i really need this.
Its workin now... had to create an incoming comport for bluetooth on my pc and activate it in active sync

Could you please explain to me more slowly I am sorry I am noob, I have the same problem
Finaly the problem solved. You are right it is because of incoming port. But another reason why in the begginning I don't know your statement about incoming port is because the application and the driver of my Bluetooh donggle which come with the device has different user interface. No incoming port is stated there . When I delete this driver and use the driver which includes from window XP, and try to pair it again, everything solved.
Thank for the information
As the title. I had a search but didn't find anything so was wondering if it was possible to use the gps built into my XDA orbit with autoroute on my laptop?
Thanks in advance!
Have a look at Fransons GPS Gate, it will do exactly what you want try this page for a starter for ten http://franson.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3968 - Mike
Thanks Mike!
gps2blue does the job too and is freeware. As the title says it works over bluetooth.
I'd been using gps2blue (which is freeware) in all my PDA+GPS (current HTC X7500 and previous Mitac Mio A701) works great.
You can... 1) Use the PDA as external GPS for a laptop/UMPC/desktop PC connecting the PDA using BT or USB cable. I use cable most of the times. 2) You can track the PDA possition at home PC. This means you can travel with the PDA and sending thru Internet the live position to be recorded in the home PC.
I was one of the beta testers.
Just give it a try: http://users.skynet.be/hofinger/GPS2Blue.html

Is there an app or cab that switches the BT of the Rhodium automatically to on when connecting to the Parrot BT car kt?
thanks in advance,
regards, Kuzibri
hmmm, how do you expect the app to know that you're going to connect to car kit, if the only connectivity is via bluetooth?
