Qtek 9000 ROM & New Exec ROM Problems

I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced these problems:
With the Qtek 9000 ROM:
When using the Camera app, pressing any navigation button takes a picture (instead of zooming or changing modes).
With the new Exec 1.13.88 ROM:
The phone randomly places people on hold and then takes them off hold, then puts them on hold again.
With both:
Sometimes when using file explorer, selecting an item with the stylus stops opening folders and files but acts as if CRTL is being pressed.
I find the Qtek 9000 ROM is probably the most stable, but the camera problem is annoying.

I've a Qtek 9000 ROM, and my right/left navigation buttons do not take picture, but actually zoom.. and up/down change modes :?:
I use Resco explorer and no problem at all, too... :?

That's really weird, because when I switched to the new Exec ROM the problem disappeared, and when I switched back, it reappeared. Anybody have any idea on what could be the problem?

I'm using the QTEK 9000 set
I do not have probelems like you mentioned.
My left/right arrows changes modes and turn on/off the camera light and up/down arrows zoom

hmmm.......I am going to try and figure out if it's a problem with something in my ExtROM.
But also, is anyone having the problem where the GPRS icon does not show on the today screen, but shows when you open up any program that shows the start bar, like navigating to "Programs".

I just tried a hard reset without installing anything from the ExtROM and I still face the camera problem. I don't believe it's a hardware issue becuase the Exec ROM works fine.

I use the standard 9000 Extended_Rom, less than 500k... no problem..
Even with the GPRS/UMTS icon, they never disappeared from the top toolbar :?:

Did you install GPRS Monitor? After I did the clean hard reset (with no GPRS Monitor) I do not face the GPRS Icon problem anymore. The problem I do face now is that of the camera.

Nope, no GPRS monitor... as my job pay for my communications, I don't care :wink:

Me too. NO problem with disappearing GPRS icon on top bar. Do not have GPRS Monitor install.

Alright, I am pretty sure GPRS monitor causes the disappearing icon problem. I had a patch installed that allowed me to disconnect GPRS from the icon (and display time connected). But I tested that out, and that surely doesn't cause the problem.
So now..........why does my camera not work properly with the Qtek ROM...

New O2 rom
I had imate rom and now I ve installed the new o2 rom.
Finally the delay answering the calls is solved.
the system is much faster and it seems very stable..

HTC S620 w/ WM6 Bugs and Quirks

WM6 seems like it runs allot better but I do have some small issues with the way the phone works now:
1. When I dial out anywhere and it says "dialing..." if I hit end before it starts dialing (ie: i dialed the wrong number by accident) it ends the call but then looses network service and says "searching..." and regains signal after 10-15 seconds - kind of annoying.
2.When I dial straight from the home screen and start typing a name it uses letters for the numbers now as if it were a T9 phone (ie: if I hit 4 for "S" it will also search G,H,I - with my WM5 it didn't do this) - hope that makes sense to you guys out there?
Everything else seems ok about it. I can't remember if there are any other issues that I don't like.

Symbols disappeared... I mean the key below the camera icon, if I press it I have è or à, I have a WWE Rom....

WM 6.1 is driving me crazy

I've been searching a few hours here, i have not found any working solution for the following problems (occuring since i got a new PDA - Asus P750 running WM6.1) I was using before a P525 with WM5, and so i lost many things :
- how to get back the "Call history" button instead of "Dial" ? I want to get the full call history, and not mixed with the contacts
- how to set by default the numeric pad ? Anytime i press a number on the button, it displays letters instead, like if i had to type a SMS from it
- How to restore the long press on the "#1" to launch the voicemail ? Now it launches the smartdial stupid thing
- Why does a bluetooth headset get inactive when i accept calls by pressing the PDA button instead of the headset one ? I have to do this, otherwise i have no sound on the bluetooth headset
This new way on WM6.1 to use the phone looks a bit strange to me ...

Sounds like your issues are unique to your device/ROM I do not have any of the issues you have described. Perhaps someone who uses your type of device may know better.

it all depends on the dialer you are using. Have you looked at using a PhoneCanvas dialer such as MBO PhoneCanvas?

By the way, i have another question : before with WM5, i could switch to different profils (sound tone, vibrator, total silence) by using the buttons on the side of the phone. It is not possible anymore. Instead, it selects things on the today page.
Did it disappear with WM6 or do you thing it is only with the Asus P750 ?

In the settings menu, select buttons and see if you have an option for the up/down button on the side of the phone. On my 6.1 Touch Pro2, there isn't this option for that button. So if its there, it probably wasn't from the stock rom.

They don't exist :\ Only one button to customize (for launching applications)

Any clue to set by default the numeric pad ? There's probably one tweak in the registry.

disable answer key

is there a way i can disable the answer key on my tp2 so it can stop picking up calls in my pocket. i dont like using s2u2 it drains my battery for some reason and on top of that it crashes when picking up the phone

you can you use keyboard config to not have it do anything...

explain this process and what do you mean by not have it do anything only slide to answer?

if you use the keyboard config you can just make the answer key stop working...if you are on a cdma phone i can make a cab for you if this is what you want!!!

ok how do i get to keyboard config?

i'd like to only have the slide function, there has been several times when i hanged up the phone before i could answer, when i was grabbing my phone from my pocket.
is there anyway to disable the regular answering buttons?

TouchPro2 - Menu + Vibration Question

I have the standard HTC Rom on my TouchPro2.
- Is it possible to DEactivate the vibration feedback for the touchscreen while typing or using the menu??
- the Navigation bar in landscape mode always disapears after a few secs, then i have to push a button for appearing again. is it possible to set the time counter up so the navigation disapears for example after 10 secs and not 1 sec?
it would be great if someone could help me. this is very important for me

For the Vibration part, there should something in Setting's under "Touch Options"
Click that, and then uncheck the check mark, and you should be fine.

I'm looking and hoping for the same answer...I'm sure that since it disappears after a specific amount of time, there has to be a timeout setting for it in the registry, but I've been digging in there and haven't found it yet

then pls post it if you find out how.
unfortunately i didnt find it out yet
