upgrade italian V1640 ROM with the english one?

I'm italian and I own a V1640 bought in Italy with italian keyword.
I would the last *english* ROM with support for italian keyboard.
What ROM do you suggest to use (V1640? Qtek? Imate? and where do I download it)? isn't it a problem to put the english ROM on an italian device? how can I change the keyboard setting to italian?

QTEK 9000 Which ROM & Radio may use for with Italian Language?

Hi. Anyone may suggest me which ROM version and Radio may I use to upgrade my QTEK 9000?. I like the idea to have Windows Vista Icon on my palm and maximum speed.
Presently I have the following version:
ROM: 1.30.89 ITA
Data ROM: 02/23/06
Radio Version: 1.09.00
Protocol Version: 42.42.P8
ExtROM Ver: 1.30.177 ITA
I am looking for a ROM like AKU 3.3, but it should be in Italian language and without bags. Thanks for your help.

Hi, in this room you will find many italian cooked ROMs WM6. I.e.: UDK5.1 ROM, Lasagna ROM, etc... Try to find it.

It's possible downgrade to wm5, but wm6 and wm6.1 are more fast, stable and ready for SDHC...
Please consider that new software is build for wm6...
I don't know if 6.1 is really better then 6.0, but i've noticed a best reactivity.
Just try, if not satisfied you can come back...

se poi volessi togliere la WM6 e tornare a WM5 posso farlo?
