great problem qtek 9090

Hello,
I'have a great problem with my qtek 9090...
Now i'have wm5 on my qtek 9090 but it's very slow!!
I want go back, i want install windows mobile 2003 on my qtek... but... I'can't!
I'have "country id error" or "checksum error" or other...
Sorry but i'm newbie of ppc...
Help me!

Ho un grosso problema con il mio qtek 9090 , ho installato il wm5 sopra ma va lentissimo! Quindi ci voglio rimeterre il wm 2003 ma non ci riesco! mi da sempre "country id error" o "checksum error" etc...
Ho letto parecchie discussioni in merito ed ho cercato di adottarne le soluzionima niente qualsiasi cosa faccia e qualsiasi cosa ci voglia mettere se ne esce sempre con questi errori...
aiutatemi... ho un ppc solo da un paio di giorni :'(

Read how to downgrade, get the pack and place the *.nbf files that you want to downgrade too in the unzipped folder, its pretty simple. I've done it 3 times now ;-).

i had to downgrade back to 2003se v1.40 as i wanted to convert my storage space to full 60mb, unhide and unlock ext rom stuff, anyway, i followed the wiki and i was done within an hour, thats downgrading, doing what i needed to do, and then upgrading again, i must admit, i havent had a problem with speed at all, and that is without the patch from mamiach, but i have the latest wm5.0 build which has probably got the overclock patch anyway!!!!
if you havent tried the latest one then have a go with that, if you have, then have you installed all patches???, then failing that, follow wiki from front to back, and you will have no problems,

hi to every one friends, i'm italian, i have flashed from 3,54b to 4,22 shaps, but the tytn seems to be very slow, seems to blocks.
The real problem is that when tytn asks to make align of the screen, i make it...but the pda is blocked on the alignement, don't go on the next step...please help me!! i'm italian and speak little english....please answer.
i paid 300 euros!!!

And search for bad blocks. Maybe a problem with the radio firmware.
Use mtty and check it.

Ciao! Ti stanno dicendo che provando con quella procedura potresti isolare il problema...
Se ti va in boot (non se da quel punto può partire ugualmente la procedura....) puoi riflasharlo con la versione che avevi prima...oppure provare a cambiare radio.
Avevi messo l'HardSPL V7?

and probably just a plain Hard Reset can solve a problem.

Looks like your touch screen is broken. Clean it at the top-right, maybe something stuck there? Then, flash everything official back and go to the repair center.

I HAVE A GREAT PROBLEM that tormented me!
So, my unfortunate story:
4 days ago I updated the SO of my Qtek 9000 from WM5 to WM6.
I downloaded a ROM but, unknow the correct procedure, I open from the SD with PDA connected to PC the file EnterBL.
Immediately the Qtek turns off and remains in the boot screen with "Serial" and "v1.00". If I connect PDA to PC the USB change in Serial. (I have removed the tick from activesync for recognizing USB but if the PDA is connected in USB is not recognized by PC)
I tried all attempts that I found in the network.
example:
-Bootloader with button combination reset etc .--> NOTHING!
-mtty ---> NOTHING!
(I have downloaded 2 versions: The first did not refer to the USB port, with the second if I select USB a message says "CAN NOT OPEN PORT"!)
-by SD----> NOTHING!
I opened a lot of ROMs that I downloaded, but every process to upgrade does not arrive at 0% and so it leads to several errors:
-error 101
-error 114
-error 150 etc..
In the Upgrade (that ever fails) in the window where are should be the Previous and New ROM to install ... well here all the fields are empty!
After this will be the message: "RUU has stopped working"!

My notebook SO is Windows Vista.
I have also a v1640 (as Qtek but Vodafone) taken as replacement electronic parts. In this v1640 PDA there are broken Microphone, the insert of SD card and the LCD has a strange problem with screen image that is reflex. I tried to update the ROM of this and I'm successful without problems!
Could be useful the v1640 to do something for bypass my Qtek? I also thought to put the motherboard of v1640 in the Qtek but I do not agree because of the microphone and the insert SD are broken!
I'm desperate ...! I try some "holy" that with a little patience can help me in the procedure step by step!

Ho fatto tutti i tentativi trovati in rete.
es:
-Bootloader con le combinazioni di tasti reset ecc.--> NULLA!
-mtty---> NULLA!
(Ne ho scaricato 2 versioni: 1 non cita la porta USB, L'altra selezionado USB dice " PORT CAN NOT OPEN"!)
-dalla SD---> NULLA!
Aprendo alcune delle centinaia di ROM che ho scaricato, nel processo di ripristino non arrivo neanche allo 0% perché mi conduce a diversi errori:
-error 101
-error 114
-error 150 ecc.
Nell'Upgrade (che in realtà non riesce) compare una finestra nella quale dovrebbe risultare la Precedente e la Nuova ROM da installare...e pure qui tutti i campi sono vuoti!!!!
Anche se procedo poi risulterà: "RUU ha smesso di funzionare"!

Eppure ne capisco abbastanza di PC e Cel…Non so dove e cosa sbaglio!
Comunque il Sistema Operativo del mio Notebook è Vista
Inoltre ho anche un v1640 (cioè un Qtek Vodafone) preso come pezzi di ricambi non di natura elettronica; Su questo c’è il Microfono Rotto, l’insert della SD e l‘ lcd ha uno strano problema di immagine riflessa. Ho provato x curiosità ad aggiornare la ROM di questa è ci sono riuscito senza problemi.
Potrebbe però essermi utile per fare qualcosa tipo bypassarlo x il mio Qtek…??? ho pensato pure di mettere la scheda madre del v1640 nel Qtek ma non mi conviene per via di microfono e insert SD rotti!!!
Sono disperatooo…!!! Cerco qualche "santo" che con un po’ di pazienza riesca ad aiutarmi passo passo nella procedura!
P.S. Inutile rimandarmi ad altri post e topic perché li ho girati quasi tutti!

I think your problem is that you are using Vista for the ROM update and it is very difficult to do it under Vista. Try to do that on a computer using XP. I don't speak or write italian, so, cant be more precise or understand completely your problem to guide you better.

On users request: added English translation and reopened the thread.

On XP or Win 2000
Open Active Sync
File -> Connection (Or something like that)
Disable USB Connection
Close Active Sync
Connect Universal with the USB Cable
Download this file
Unzip it
Run UNI_ExitBootloader.exe from your PC
Reset Universal
Hope it works out for you

I connect PDA with cable but "usb device not recognized" !
It's normal?
After I open ExitBootloader but "Cannot open USB port. Please make sure, that USB connection in ActiveSync is disabled.
Also make sure, that your USB cable is properly connected."

And you are using Win XP or Win 2000?
If your using Vista I really don't know how to do it.

Are you connecting directly to usb or using a hub? Sometimes the problem is the hub.

still nothing! I tried in every way but on any PC when I connect whit USB my device it is not recognized!!!!

Wrong unlocker file [HTC diamond]

Hello everyone,
I tried to unlock my HTC touch diamond with Diamond Unlocker.exe
Due to my mistake, I used Diamond Unlocker.exe designed for CDMA and not for GSM that my network supports.
When the three-color screen appeared, after 2-3 sec. the monitor switched off by itself and stopped doing anything. From this time, my phone can’t open any I can’t do anything. It seems to be dead. I can’t even connect it to my pc whatever I do.
I tried to reset it by pressing Power + VolDwn + Back + Reset and other combinations, but nothing happened. I can’t connect it to mtty as well (No USB option).
Any ideas???

Fammi indovinare, non succede niente nemmeno se lo colleghi all'alimentazione esterna, nemmeno i led del tondino centrale si illuminano.
Spero che ti sia spostato le cose dalla memoria interna al pc, o le hai perse per sempre.
Mi è successa la stessa identica cosa pochi giorni fa.
la Kasko me ne ha reso uno da poco, non ho potuto fare niente e 6 mesi di contatti, mail e sms sono andati persi (data dell'ultimo backup su pc)

Same thing happened to me few days ago.
The Kasko (phisicals and logical damages insurance) gave me back one recently, I could not do anything, and 6 months of contacts, emails and text messages are lost (the last backup on PC).

I enabled root permissions .. rom installing so many compliments and are all beautiful.
But I want to know if I have a problem and would like to restore the operating system of my terminal to avoid losing the warranty how?
I had read that just download the ruu.exe of my terminal and everything would be restored.
But I just made a test returns me errors 170 and 171 ...

Ma desidero sapere se dovessi avere qualche problema e desidero ripristinare il sistema operativo del mio terminale per non perdere la garanzia come si fa ?
Avevo letto che basta scaricare la ruu.exe del mio terminale e tutto si sarebbe ripristinato .
Ma appena ho effettuato una prova mi restituisce gli errori 170 e 171...
essendo anche poco pratico mi dareste gentilmente un buona guida da eseguire per un incompetente come me'

it might be worth grabbing the latest HTC Sync app and installing that if not already
also what OS are you running it from?

I find it easier to turn the phone on holding the back button to get into FASTBOOT, then connect to the PC and run the RUU - means you can do it with non-Sense ROMs too as you don't need HTC Sync
