Anyone on here using this set? What is your experience?
Thanks!
I've had one since they were released by Sprint. First one sent back to motorola, due to a bad microphone. 2nd one MUCH improved! I've now sent it off to averysound.com to update my custom ear piece to get a better fit.
The stock eartips & ear hook hurt after several hours. I've been using a custom ear piece since the jawbone1 days.
The only hitch on the HX-1 is that it is picky to get it to fit right. If you don't have the bone conduction thingy sitting correctly, everyone will say you sound like you are a mile away.

Wow, custom molded! I'd like that as well. Obviously the fit of the HX-1 in the ear canal is crucial for sound, as the bone conduction needs to, well, conduct the vibrations.
What I don't understand is, how does averysound.com make a custom earpiece for this, as the bone conduction microphone is molded into the eartip/device?
Here is what they do.. does anyone have one of these and how well does it work? does it actually make the sound louder so you dont have to pus on it to hear people? The one thing they tell me is you need to have a large enough ear to support this because of the bone conductor.. does anyone have a custom piece an can tell me what they think??
Well
I now have the HX1 WITH the custom ear gel from AVERYSOUND.COM. its 100% better BUT I think its going to take time to get used to as it gives it a fuller fit and the gel blocks most outside sound from the ear. Also it makes your ear SWEAT and fell a little strange.. I am told they can put a HOFFMAN VENT in it.. does anyone know what this is??
Thanks.....
Does anyone know if this has A2DP and AVRCP profiles with it?
I got my phone in a leather pouch in my left pocket and I hardly feel it. My friend doesn't even use a pouch, he uses it all natural. He hardly feels it either.

well firstly you should tell your friend to use protection...
i agree though i barely feel it either, is there anyway to make it stronger?
I get the idea that sometimes the phone doesn't vibrate at all... :/
I can't feel it vibrate in my pocket either.
The vibrate functon has disappeared 4 or 5 times aswell.
Same problem here, but mainly on calls. Left my phone on the side to watch fight club, missed 4 calls, then was actually notofied when I got a text. Really annoyed me as they were massively important calls

yeh ive also missed calls cos this phone is so dam quite this is my first phone out of many that im not happy with the volume, though i think its prob to do with the poor quality of the speaker in it, i dont think it can handel any louder sounds as it sounds terrable at high as it is
i thought it vibrated quite a lot, scares the **** out of me sometimes.
When i have it on my desk and it vibrates i think wow that strong.
But when i have it in my pocket i miss it all the time!
Really? Speaker's too quiet? Put this as your ringtone on max and then tell me it's too quiet. I got a call while I was doing the dishes and broke two plates.
Phone is too thin for the pocket...

My question is, does it not muffle the speaker sound when the phone rings if its inside such a case?

Yes it will muffle the speakers but if you have it up loud you might be able to hear it.
I did a short video review on it

You buddy a superstar. Just what I needed. I'll skip this case and get the other official one
I've done alot of research on these Plantronics Backbeat GO Bluetooth earbuds and it seems to be a winner imo. I will be using them casually, not for working out so I don't really need those "over the ear" types like Plantronics BB903+: I'd just like to hear it from a fellow XDA'er if they are as good as they read on paper

They are giant monstrosities that stick out of your ear about an inch, they are so "heavy" hanging that far out that they don't make a good seal and are always falling out.
Do your reviews first before wasting any money here.
Thanks for chiming in compusmurf. Any other recommendations? If falling out is a major factor w/ these styles I suppose I can sacrifice a little comfort :/
I've looked and looked and looked and the absolute BEST solution I could find was one of these: Jabra BT3030. Samsung and another company has one.
It's a BT interface that allows you to use your OWN darn headset which you know fits you.
Which is nice because I have custom IEM's fitted for my ears.
However, it's a bit less than completely "wireless".
I have LG tone hbs-700 and i love them. The ear peices are line regular headphones.

I have the BackBeat 906+ and it's really awesome. It's the only stereo headset I've used that phone calls are also in stereo. Most stereo headsets route call audio to one earpiece, but this bad boy does both. It has decent sound quality and it's LOUD. Hope this helps.

I like the Sony mw600. You can use whatever headphones you want with it.

Radioshack has them for $99.99, the plus is you can get a warranty for $10.99. Now I hate warranties but for the $11 dollars you pay you can get your money back on a RS gift card within the year of purchase, meaning if the internal battery gives out, or if you simply don’t like them anymore, you can claim the warranty… and if you are do for an upgrade you can use the GC towards that new phone. That’s how I’ve got my last two phones.

I personally would not recommend these headphone for a black person. They have no bass I will be returning mind right now. I when you play music with heavy bass it sounds like you are trapped in a tunnel or something.

No, the no bass effect is related to the horrible fit.
They won't stay in or make a seal.
Plantronics tried, plantronics failed.
Yeah, I am sure. These headphones don't kick much volume.
If I helped you out in any way please thank me. Thanks.
I have jaybird freedoms n love them

I really like my Rocketfish bluetooth headset I got from Best Buy. They're only $60, the charge lasts like 12-14 hours, and the sound quality isn't bad at all! They're over the ear, which I like because I wear them when I go lifting at the gym. Sweat hasn't damaged them at all. The only problem I've had with them is there's these strips of rubber inside the frame for "cushioning" that have a tendency to come out over time. You can either rip them out (I've noticed absolutely no difference in comfort) or superglue them back in.

Edit: Looked on Amazon, and they have them for $20-30 cheaper!

Sounds good and I appreciate the research, buuuuut as an experienced pc tech just about anything "Rocketfish" brand I've come across has fried my customer's electronic devices or has completely shat out after a few months usage.. i.e. laptop chargers/etc..again though, I do appreciate the input it's just my person experiences that are holding me back :/

You are a white person with soul my brothera.
Just checking with the rest of you who have the Gn2 on Sprint. I honestly haven't been able to use the damn things, they don't stay in my ears for the life of me. And yes I have swapped out the provided different sized ear bud covers but none of them work.. They literally fall straight out, I'm sure it's just something simple that I am missing. I have never owned a pair of head phones with squishy ear pod covers like this one. Just the traditional in ear like the 1st gen ipod headphones etc..
Any help would be appreciated, it be nice to be able to listen to music while doing lawn work or going on a bicycle ride when weather permits. I have a gang of music I transferred over from my previous device only to find out these headphones have me defeated
Input appreciated:good::good:
Thanks,

Htc headphones work on galaxy note 2
The 2 end or side buttons are volume.
Here is a link

- Volume up
O Send/end play/pause
- Volume down
That how htc remote work on gn2
Hope that helps
Radio shack or even ebay sells memory foam tips for ear buds that are amazing. You just squish them then slide them in your ear and they expand. They don't fall out easy and they seal in your ear which creates better sound isolation and deeper bass.

Hey trick is to reach behind around your head with your opposite hand of the ear your putting the headphone in..and hold the top corner of your and pull your ear back then with the same side hand of that ear insert the headphone. .haha seems like much, I know..these are actually the instructions that came with beats by dre ear buds. Something about that technique opens you're ear hole. Then just find the right size gelcap
