Hi,
I'm trying to get hold of a dual SIM card for my XDA Orbit. I've seen loads that are available for other devices, but not mine.
Can anyone suggest one that works well with the XDA Orbit??
Rob.

Neither do I have a feedback nor a comment. But I have a question
Does somebody know a dual sim card (with cutting) where I can use UMTS? Very often they claim that the pieces are compatible, that only means you can insert an UMTS-Simcard, but you can only use GSM-Services.
Can someone tell me for certain (someone who has the phone or has opened one up), tell me if the Galaxy Nexus has a micro sim slot or not? I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere...
No, normal SIM.
Just look at the instructional videos straight from google. It does not have a micro SIM. It has a standard (what we think of as standard is actually "Mini") SIM.
Remember though, you can put a micro SIM in a mini SIM slot. You just need a small plastic adapter to make it seat properly.

The Galaxy Nexus definitely takes a normal sim card. The confusion may have arisen over phones4u sending out micro sim cards with new orders but this was a mistake and a standard sim card is the only one that will work in there.
Mark.

Well like I said above, a micro SIM will work if you use an adapter. The adapters allow you to slot a micro SIM into them and provide extra plastic around them to be the size of a mini SIM.
The slot in the phone is most definitely a standard SIM slot though.

Not entirely true, it is possible to balance/wedge the microsim on the contacts and have a working phone

Well that would have been ok then IF an adapter had been supplied with the micro sim but as it wasnt then its totally useless lol.

Yes I agree that wedging random things in sim slot is bad idea, however....
If you happened to be like me and have tons of random mobile crap or sim leftover items like the cards that are credit card sized which house the original micro-sim often, then some of them have an actual cutout of a larger sim original size sim to be more clear which is popped out then the micro-sim is popped out of that piece. It's a backup/cheap way I figured for companies at one time to make sims and ship them out in one pack/card then when the user gets their phone and they match up what sim size they need they have both options....or I could be very wrong who knows.
Any ways, my point is simply that one of those leftover housings of a original size sim that you might have popped out a micro-sim from for another phone can come in handy as all you do is simply place your current micro-sim in the gap where another one used to be and it kind of even snaps into place then you have a bootleg like adapter for micro to original size sim. I don't know it worked me on my i9250 gsm world nexus and verizon.
normal aim
use adaptor

I bought one off of Etradesupply.com but they sent me one for the gt-i9300 which is a smaller one and doesnt fit where can I buy an OEM one from?
anybody?
I'd like to buy one today if somebody could help me
You can do it right in your phone with an app called "Sim Contact Manager."
Much cheaper, too!
Edit: I had not tried this since transferring to S3. Doesn't work in this phone. Must be something different with micro SIM.
mengtor or gounlock.
Search for i747
Just as a tip for somebody that finds this thread in the future - You can buy the I9300 sim card tray all you need to do is peel the sim card and micro sd card reader from the iron plate and put it on your original i747 plate..Both readers can be removed easily by peeling them off they are just held on by glue
So I decided to buy a G4.
I know about the boot loop issue, but LG fixes it if it happens, so that's okay.
My Samsung devices all had issues (multiple), so yeah.
Anyway, I have a couple of simple questions regarding the dual sim edition.
They cost the same in the country, so I figured I might buy the dual sim one...but...
- Does it have the same, latest (MM) firmware?
- Do you get any annoying notification if you just use ONE sim card in it?
- Does it still have a microSD card slot besides the dual SIM slot?
The thing is, MNOs are becoming popular in my country.
So you can finally get cheap mobile internet, but on a separate sim card, of course.
This way I could just toss in a second SIM once I get a good deal, and hook my mobile data on that.
Thank you guys!

Hey guys!
I am looking to buy the Note 7 as you know it comes with two versions the single N930F and Dual SIM version the N930FD, currently I am with AT&T and I using the Note 5 SM-N920I with NO problem. My question is, If I need a custom development support and using the phone in the (US and Asia) which variant should I get the single or the dual?
Are both models working smoothly with a custom ROM without any trouble specially the dual sim N930FD?
thanks,
Any suggestion?
The Dual Sim version of the phone allows you to insert two sim cards. If you move between Asia and the US a lot, then it could be a great option for you. But, you can't use the SD card and both sim cards at the same time.
