I have searched and searched and searched.....
I have flashed just about every ROM with different radios.....
I have even tried different "antenna fixes" ........
I have also let a friend who is more familiar with computers and smartphones....
And still I cannot make any calls.
The phone keeps searching for a signal.
When I try to call it starts the call then goes to "Phone Off" and keeps searching for a signal.
Also I am getting a "device turn off" notification.
I will continue searching and trying but I would appreciate any help.
I would include the phone details but as I am trying different ROM's it is ever changing..apparently I am also a ROM addict but just not good one.
Thanks in advance.
A little help please....

I have tried searching everywhere but i cannot find anyone with a similar problem.
I have an o2 XDA 2s which so far has been the best phone PDA i have used.
However, I have one small problem sometimes which happens about once in every ten calls i answer or dial, I cant hear anything the person on the other end is saying and they cant hear me too, althought the phone shows im connected and the call duration works as well. However, I am able to make/recieve calls as normal if i do a soft reset which takes about 2 mins, rather irritating. Has anyone had a similar experience? Its just so fustrating when the phone is such a superb phone that this rather small problem happens.
Please can someone advise me on what the best thing to do is, I have tried a hard reset but this has not solved anythinga and the problem remains.
Should i try upgrade using the upgrades provided for the XDA 2S on the o2 site? i understand this flashes the ROM or something. Is this easy to do and is there a chance of doing worse damage when flashing? also my XDA which is an O2 phone is unlocked onto all networks, i.e. orange, tmobile, vodafone, does this mean if i flash the rom that i will lose the unlocked networks and be stuck on O2? I would be very grateful if someone could advise a newby as to how i could rectify this problem on what otherwise is a superb phone.
Thanks
rio

Hi,
I'm starting to be a little worried about this problem, it seems to be quite common lastly...I was wondering...Have you tried to upgrade the radio when you saw this "no gsm" message? Any problem? Could you do it again providing an usb monitor log?
I think such a log could be useful to find out what's going on...
Hello, I have followed many of the forums to upgrade my phone to WM6.1 and it seemed I had it all working well but now I am having all sorts of trouble. I started getting patched to recorded calls when I tried calling home, so I decieded to redue my ROM. but now I can not get my camera to work and if I try to dial ##000000 or ##3424 they do nothing. THe dialing of those 2 numbers will say Dialing, then Connected then hang up, but never put me into diagnostics mode. Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong or how I might fix it? Thank you.
Am I posting this in the wrong area? Or has any one else had these types of problems?
Hello
I'm a noob and I'll try to be brief.
I have a HTC Desire with Cyanogenmod 7 installed.
Yesterday my 3g connection dropped and after a while my 2g too. It does not conect to a network:I use Orange.
I rebooted the phone, tried to manually select the operator but it did not work.
The error displayed is "selected network unavailable".
I spent several hours reading related posts but I couldn't find anything that worked.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Edit: I always think about the most complicated solutions ... I tried my SIM card in another phone and it did not work. I went to an Orange Shop and they gave me a new one. Sorry for wasting your time while reading this. Maybe it will be useful for others.
First, let me start by, in advance, thanking anyone who replies to this thread. Now that the formalities are out of the way.. I can't call or text at all! I've followed, step by step, the directions from cricketusers on how to flash a touch over to Cricket. I've lost multiple hours of sleep searching thru forums and websites to find an answer to my problem. If I dial out, I get Error 16, switch 211. When I stay on the line, the messages says "thank you for calling your cellular provider, please wait for customer assistance, etc." but it always says there are too many calls, try again later. I have. Every half hour. for the last 3 days. I read the tutorial on flashing to boost, so I called my sprint rep from a different phone, they refreshed what needed to be refreshed, and nothing happened. And from reading up how to flash to boost, I am assuming you are re directed to Sprint, and not a generic message, correct? I've tried multiple PRLs and either they send me to Error 16, or they just give me the busy tone. I can recieve calls and texts all day, but can't send any out. Cricket can't use the ESN from my S2 for some odd reason either. I've tried manually programming my phone. That doesn't work either. Suggestions? Any help would be appreciated!
P.S. I am pretty sure I posted this in the right place, right? lol
