Downgrade error 150 (from WM5 > WM2003) Need some HELP pl

Okay,
I installed WM5 with no problem, but as a lot of my aps do not work on it, I am now trying to go back to Window 2003.
I have done all the needed stuff as told in the "How to Downgrade a WM5 Rom' (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_Downgrade_WM5), but when I get at step 7, and run the 'MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe' (downloaded from the howto site) I get the following error:
Error 150: Rom Upgrade utility error
This ROM Upgrade Utility does not design for your device.
Please get proper ROM Upgrade Utility and try again!

(the 'MaUpgradeUt 'Device Software Update Utility - R1000 D1001' does also NOT show any info about the Device CE image version)
The ROM that I am trying to use is the same version as I was using before the WM5 update!
Anyone here who can help me with this error?

Nevermind... After rebooting the main pc, I got it to work.

Having trouble upgrading to WM6

I have an 8525 and I am trying to upgrade to HTC_TyTN_WWE_3[1].54.255.3_6275_1.48.00.10_108.exe and I keep getting the same error message. "Error 264 The Update Utility cannot connect to your PDA Phone. Please check that your USB/cable is connected properly between the PC and your PDA Phone " My phone is connected and everythign appears fine until I try try to update. I have even tried the guide at http://www.mrvanx.org and that doesn't work either. Any ideas?

O.k. I am a little further. It starts the install and then I get the "Invalid Vendor ID" error message.

Do you have activesync installed on your pc?

Are u using vista or xp?

I'm also having a problem trying to upgrade to WM6. Whenever I start the process it switches my phone into standby then as activesync can't see the phone I get an error message!

What are your answers to the two questions above? Running vista or xp? What version of activesync if any are you running?
Are your phones unlocked, CID, etc?

I don't know if it is required or not for a "official update" but have you installed HardSPL?

Read over all of this, in Re: to the hardspl, i believe its the first hyperlink listed.
Assuming that you are set on that particular rom, what I'd do is extract the rom file from the package you downloaded using winrar and then use customruu to load it on. Ive' never had any problems with it on XP. This protects against bricking as much as possible. Also just in case you haven't seen this before, flashing roms and hardspl from here will void your warranty if you need to have it serviced at any time. There is a way to get back to warranty acceptable 'standards' though. But you can't take it in as is.

Update just radio in Vista

I have a TyTN with official Russian WM6 onto it, which includes 1.16 radio version. I want a newer one, because this seems unstable, so i decided to update just radio (i don't want any cooked ROM or whatever for now).
Each new version of radio I found here failed earlier or later on a Vista x64 computer with error 260. What I have tried is 1.54.07.00 and 1.54.00.10 and 1.50.
To my surprise, packaging is different, but the effect is the same: after "Verifying the image on your device" (i can hear USB disconnecting and connecting back as the device enters bootloader) they time out with 260.
Right now I'm trying to revert what have I done to Vista as it won't allow me to turn off driver signing, as advised.
Ah, this doesn't work either (same error 260).
What am I doing wrong? My bootloader is, as said on that screen:

Yes, I have installed some...er...thing before, maybe it was called "HardSPL", but it didn't come handy and wasn't any use to me as I decided against cooking a ROM.
Update: What I like the most is, despite all my attempts the device still works! Other than the radio troubles, that is.

I have had the same problem with my x64 vista pc and the 260 error msg. It took me hours but what seemed to finally fix it for me was to:
1. completely remove WMDC from the pc, reboot the pc,
2. reinstall WMDC plus upgrade,
3. uncheck the allow USB connections option on your 8525, exit out of the window, then do a soft reset
4. now make a USB connection w the PC
Let us know how it works

Sorry, you'll have to wait till my next upgrade Everything is working so far - so until I need something that can't be achieved using SD flashing I'll stick to this technique. Thanks for the advice anyway.

WM 6.5 for T-Mobile MDA III

if got the T-Mobile MDA III with WM6.0.
Now i want to update my ROM with WM 6.5, bit i only become the following error:
Your image has corrupted. please check your update utility.
Can anyone help me???

try to re-download the rom and make sure you run a USPL first if it's your first upgrade. Search the forum if you need help

it dosn´t works
i´ve tried 5 different roms but no one works.
its the second upgrade on the fon.

Download "ArtemisUSPL.zip"
1. Unzip
2. Connect your phone to computer, make sure activesync is enabled (green icon)
3. Run start_uspl.exe on your computer and wait until process finishes
4. The phone reboot.
When boot is done, you are CID unlock forever normally so you can flash all rom you want.
Then, You can flash now your rom, just run RUU from your rom folder and normally it's good.
If it always don't work, give us all the number show in your 1st screen when the phone boot (IPL, SPL ...)

yes, tell us what numbers you get on your screen
also what error are you getting
and what OS are you on....vista? XP ? Did you get an activesync connection before you tried flashing?
also try putting phone into bootloader mode first and then flashing, sometimes helps. (hold down RECORD/NOTES button when you reset)
once you've got an error number ( eg error 260 ) you can try searching the forum for that error number and see how everyone else has coped with it.

Cant flash, ERROR 246

First of all, hi, i was reading a lot from this forum, and i must say, im impressed. Nice job!
Anyhoo, im running WM 6.1 (Lite) (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=364031) on my HTC TyTn.
Now id like to flash it into, i dunno, the full version, or 6.5, or something else, but it wont.
I connect it through active sync(on my desktop pc), and i run 'Force Using Safe SSPL', i get the error : ERROR 246. The Update Utility cannot get response from your PDA Phone. Please check that your USB cradle/cable is connected properly between the PC and your PDA Phone. And also check your PDA Phone.
Click 'Exit' to quit.
I tried to run SPL-2.02/2.10/2.30 and then it goes into bootloader, and at 1% it says 'file corrupted'.
I tried those things on my laptop, too, but still the same problems.
Can anyone help me?

Install NetFrameworks from v1 to v3.5 make first your device is runing a functional rom.... or your rom... then perform the Hardspl v7 by olipro hardspl 2.10 and then try to upgrade some other... the fact here is.... how could you have 6.1 and now you are trying to make hardspl... oh bTW dont use SSPL please you gonna damage your device if it is not ready damaged.

Try this,
1. Make sure you have HSPL 2.10 or New Bootloader
2. Put Your device into bootloader mode (Until there a "SERIAL" in the bottom of ur device), connect it to PC (Now "SERIAL" change to "USB")
3. Run 838Pro_SEA_ENG_WM6_Upgrade_20070712 (official ROM or U can RUN other official ROM can be found on www.htc.com ), don't click "AUTODETECT",
4. Checklist the option button of SPL-2.02/2.10/2.30 New Bootloader and Is it Hard-SPL?, after that just click next2 until flashing started
5. If it didnt work repeat step 1-3 and checklist the option button " Force Using Safe SSPL " then follow all flashing step

7. Flash WM6.5 ROM you want
Hope its usefull cause I use this when my hermes couldnt load and every flashing it's stuck on 1%
