Olipro,
hi,
I flash with LVSW's full update with 1.13Oli SPL, During the first screen I select Force SSPL. After flash the ROM I got white backgroud on Today's screen. I read through few people's experience with white background and try to fix it. Nothing works so I flash the OS only upgrade. The upgrade stop in middle of flashing. Later I discover the DL files were bad. Now, my 8525 bootup into 3 color screen with:
herm 1.13Oli screen. No activeSync connection..... In XP I can see the MobileDevice, but nothing within the folder.
Is it my device is now brick??
Any help will be appreciate.

go to the Hard-SPL thread, download the new Hard-SPL.
when flashing, select 1.11 and tick Hard-SPL (or don't, doesn't really matter).
go through the flash, let it update your SPL.
now, with 1.30, flash the latest LVSW WM6 ROM, or any other
Hi,
Thx for the fast response.
I have DL your newest Hard-SPL V4 version 1.30Oli. When I run the update it shows error (264) connection. No matter what, it will not update.
I have remove and reinstall activesync, but XP will find the device, but no activesync connection.
What should I di next??

have you tried going to the today screen item in settings and manually setting a today image?
So I'm having problems installing Hard SPL (Olinex Unsigned). The phone is connected w/ Active-sync to my computer, and all of those required "steps" to check before you begin flashing were there. It takes just a few seconds for the HardSPL to install, and it says "congratulations...", so I assumed it went well. However, when it boots up, it says NOTHING about Olinex. Instead, when I'm on the boot screen, it has red letters, the lower ones stating my normal ROM build. It looks like:
R 1.00.25.5
G 1.52.29.25.12H
D 1.93 ...
I assume this is the bootloader? I held the lower volume button and hit the soft reset button to get to the bootloader, and that was the same screen it went to. However, then the ROM boots up on the phone, and it's the same intro screen as my initial ROM was. When I proceed with trying to install the HardSPL again, it tells me my current ROM is 1.93.401.2.. not Olinex.' I also tried the SSPLmanual file. No good..
Also, I realized that when I ask for it to update, Mobile Device Center loses connection w/ my phone. Maybe I am just having a problem holding a connection between the two? Activesync is turned on on my phone, and Mobile Device Center says that my phone is connected before the flash.
Has anyone had this problem before, or know how I can fix it? Thanks everyone. I've been looking around everywhere.

I'm under the impression that you are not entering your bootloader screen. Please try this again (soft reset and ASAP, press the vol down button). Keep holding it until you see Red, Green, etc.(rainbow like coloured screen) .... please report back what it says on that screen before we move on.
wow.. I suppose that did the trick. AND it DOES say that it has Olinex on it, so I guess that installed w/o a problem! Thank, I really appreciate the help. Unfortunately, I've heard many different ways to get there (mainly hold vol-down THEN press soft-reset).
One last question though.. Now that I spent a good 30 minutes installing the list of those tweaks, would I really see much of an improvement jumping to a cooked ROM? I was looking at getting AZTOR or Nataly's lite (I'm not asking which one..), but I am not sure how much of an improvement I'm looking at. I'm currently running the stock ROM as 1.93 (I guess I'm running Olinex atm). Now that I've applied all of those tweaks from that one page, is it worth it to jump to a cooked ROM?
Thanks again! That makes my day seem MUCH more successful now.

Hi I would not to back to a stock 1.93 rom even the stock 2.03 rom is a lot better in my option.

haha, so you recommend I go ahead and push my luck w/ a 2.03 cooked ROM? Will I really have to worry about all of those tweaks, or will they already be optimized in the cooked roms? Again, I'm looking at 2 that are based off of performance, so I can expect they'll already be well-tweaked, but I'm new w/ all of this.

Hi I would but thats me. yes these roms are tweaked for performance.
make sure you have read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211
warning once you start to flash some roms it is hard to stop.
Hi have a look here to flash from the internal storage.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3287426&postcount=10
Lately I keep like 4 cooked roms in folder on my internal storage and when I feel the need to try a new rom I just copy it to root, change name and install OS from bootloader (volDown, backButton, resetButton).
That is my identical process. Sometimes they never make it to the flashing stage but always a couple on standby...lol
Hi
Sorry to be a pain, I have tried the search but not found anything that helps as I may not be typing in the right thing...
Anyway I flashed the phone many times when I got it but did something that made the screen flicker when booted from hard or soft, I have not had the time to sort it and a year has gone by, I am sure its to do with the SPL but even with the hard spl it does not let me change.
Here is what I have, if anyone has the slightest idea what I did and how to resolve it I would be very happy.
ROM Duttys V2.8 RTM WWE
Radio 1.05.25.BS14 I just chaged it to see if that solved the issue
I did notice at the boot I have three line of text and one is D 1.94 Dutty I think that could be it but what is it?
Thanks for the help
It was down to an older boot loader which had not flashed stable followed the excellent guides and with a little bit of chopping and changing got it to work

Ok,
I think I'm in trouble here. I got a HTC Desire a couple of days ago from Orange. I promised I wouldn't mess with my phone this time, new OS (I had custom ROMS on touch HD, Kaisers, etc) but thought I'd leave this alone. Just wanted some stablity.
But then Orange went and stuffed their Desire full of crap and after reading lots I thought, well I've done it WM phones, and others seem to do okay so here goes.
Made the Goldcard. following the instructions for rooting. Everything seemed to go well until....
I turn the phone on, hmm, yep it's different, no Orange splash screen, different sound (before I had no start up sound). HTC, green on white shows....a second....locked screen.
"Network Locked - Please contact customer care". I unlock the screen by sliding down and am faced with:
"SIM network unlock PIN".
What have I done? Can I get phone back? Is it my SIM?
Any ideas or help? Should I start at the beginning? or anyone know where it went wrong?
All help galdy received.
Cheers

AdamG kindly provided a list of URLs for stock radios, you just need to download the 4.05.00.11 radio and flash it through recovery menu.

Yep, it's your radio needs downgraded. Just remember that radio flashes go through 2 reboots, and under no circumastances interrupt the radio flash by removing the battery if you think it's taking too long or whatever.
Either that, or just network unlock your phone. I gave up re-flashing radio roms whilst testing, just to use my phone.
Don't bother speaking to Orange, they're about as usefull as a chocolate fireguard.
So did this fix ur issue?
I'm also planning to get a black Orange HTC Desire from uk.
Yes it fixes the issue, Orange only allow that radio I mentioned to be used on their network atm. I, myself and many others had this problem when debranding.

Wow, so maybe not so bad as I thought!. Now, I just have to copy over the radio zip file to the micro SD card, and follow the instructions. Thanks for your swift repies.

Can't justify paying 15 quid to save myself doing a process that doesn't even take 3 minutes to complete. I will unlock when my contract is up though.

Yes mate, just download the zip file to your SDCard, flash into ClockWork recovery and then choose 'install zip from SDCard'

Whenever I look at your rom list, rom manager comes back with an error:
"Error occured while processing the ROM list!"
Ah, you're stars! NEver knew about the radio problem with Orange.
So, all sorted. A shiny lovely Desire, with none of the Orange crap - and it was loads. the thing that really irritated me was that they didn't even give you the option to uninstall the game demos. A feel a bit freer, and a lot less stressed.
time to finish my cider, re install some apps.

I'd suggest investing in a license for Titanium Backup, saves trying to remember what you've installed and were you stuck their icons!

did you formated the device before flashing ? task29 .. mtty ?
this i had few times after much flashing. but few times meaning 2-3 after MAAAANY flashing .. but if it is often .. probably some leftovers from previous rom ?
it is not a screen problem!
cheers
Even i have this now for the past 2-3 weeks, i thought my diamond was dying
Lets see what happens im gonna backup my phone and try formating it today.
It also happens to me sometimes... But I don't restart the phone... I wait some minutes that the device go into sleep mode and after that the screen is normal again.
It happens very rarely and I don't know what's the cause...
I always flash the device using mtty.
Bye
Marshall
yes it started also on mine, today i had to reboot it twice because of this problem.
I'm using last memo rom with sense 2016.
i never had that problem until now, and i flashed like hundred times almost every rom here, always with mtty.
i have faced that problem too! it's not a big deal for my phone. try to flash other ROM to your Device.i'm using Memo too! and i love it.
maybe it's because a bad ROM flash. try to flash it with other ROM and flash again with your current ROM and try to flasy using mmty.
I have a same issue and I thought that my device is gonna die
I'm using Rottgrub's rom and I alwasy do mtty before flashing rom
I am having the same problem, since the past few weeks. I have flashed the device say 100 times. I've tried different ROMs and the problem recurrs. I do a soft rest and everything returns to normal.
One observation is that when I do task 29. I get I get atleast 5 'ERASE block xxx FAIL' messages. I hope someone can help in this regard.
When I using GenY 2.6 with Sense, I also got this problem. But I change to 6.5 with titanium, the problem gone. I think the reason is sense, or maybe run too much 3D with Sense.
And of course, I don't think It's a hardware issue.
@sobny:
Yeah- it only happens when I use Sense Rom
as far as i heard, is just "overflashing" .. and NOT known solution for "snow like screen" ..
and it is NOT sense related, as few times i turned OFF sense, and used SPB mobile shell ..
