I also posted this in Hermes Upgrading but got not a single response, so I thought I would post it where most of the cooks and senior members hang-out! Here are the issues:
I am running vp3g's wm6 rom with the modded six tab plug-in although these questions refer to the home plug-in regardless of version:
1. clock displays am/pm - I want 24 hour display if possible. phone settings are set to 24hour, is it a reg hack for the plug-in?
2. when adding contacts/favorite people to the plug-in how can I specify which number for a contact to use? it seems to default to the first entry for a contact which usually happens to be the mobile number when what I want to add is the office number. (may be a general wm6 question as well)
Additional question - How did I enable my ringtones as system notifications? (I can use them as ringtones, but they don't show as system notifications.)
thanks for your input - I have spent a couple of hours searching before I posted, but being at work 16 hours a day kind of limits the time I can spend online at any one time (perils of being tech support for a school district).
Hi,
1. About the clock display, just go to start/settings/system/regional settings/time to do the setting.
2. The contact default is call "mobile number".
That is all I got..

duh - I forgot about regional settings for the clock!
any reason why I cannot use "my ringtones" as system notifications? i used to be able to do it with the black roms - is this specific vp3g?
So are we stuck with a person mobile contact that sucks ass, cause I cant call some people on their mobile I want their home.
For those of you with Windows Phone 7 devices, you know the drill. Open an app, get a message, click on it, and then wait 10-15 seconds to go back to what you were doing. Well, thanks to this registry key I found, those days may very well be over
Here's a video of it in action:
As you can see, this allows you to switch between applications without having to wait on the "Resuming..." message. Of course, there's some side effects, but I assume everyone on here knows the drill. Here's the key:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\TaskHost\DehydrateOnPause
Set it to 0 to disable dehydration. (Defaults to 3)
You don't even have to restart, just load up an application and lock the device to see the results. Cool, huh?
Now for the side effects:
First off, obviously, this probably won't help your battery much. But it actually might not be that bad, because the applications are still frozen in the background, just not dehydrated (evident with Fruit Ninja where the game pauses AFTER being returned to).
Second side effect involves the camera. With this enabled, sometimes the camera will let you take one picture, and then lock up entirely. This one is tricky, because it happened at first for a while, and then went back to being completely normal (can take pictures, view pictures, etc). Experiment a little with it, and tell me what happens.
The third also only appears sometimes (the same sometimes as when the camera started working again, hint hint), and is not that big of a deal. Basically, sometimes your icons won't load, for whatever reason. Again, this only happens sometimes, and doesn't really effect your device usage.
Side effects aside, this works without any hassle and is completely reversible. Just keep in mind that it is a hack, and you know the deal with those. As usual, it's at your own risk.
Try it out and share what happens.

now that's how it should've been to begin with
about how long does the tombstone state take place before immediately having to restart a program
eg
I'm playing fruit ninja -> I get a text message -> after 15-25 seconds -> return to fruit ninja
after the second delay can I go back to the program, or are we still restricted to 15-25 second delay

The only time there is a delay is when you launch the application from the start menu (or games hub). When returning to an application, there is no delay.

I actually found this when looking for the NoDo startup improvements in the registry, and got sidetracked by something much better I'll be sure to dig around some more once I get more time on my hands.
Nice find. Definitely hate the pausing of apps and having to wait for resuming.
edit: nevermind
It´s great. If I have a game running on the device it will not consume power battery?
thanks for this really great find

This "tweak" will actually drain the phones battery much faster.
the next step would be, if i click on f/e the facebook tile that ill will open the app where i left it, instead of the beginning but this would probably be much harder to accomplish.
Anyway this is perfect man, I like this tweak works nice.

Nice Job! Working fine. Befor it E900 battery keeps max 2 days.
for those who like me do the trick for multitasking, not to consume more battery than usual, just press the arrow "back" on your Windows phone until whether you're on the Home screen and nothing behind it washables.
it will effectively kill any application running in the background while waiting for a true "task manager"
is there anybody who can yet confirm the battery drainage?
My omnia 7 is just messed up today, so i have to send it back to service. It keeps saying my phone is connected to the power while its not, and the lock button locks the screen than the screen just unlocks itself automatically. Great features haha. But I applied the hack before I did the factory resets to see if it solved the problems. However I believe the hack is totally unrelated to my issues, but I can not confirm if the battery drains significantly faster with this hack enabled.
But it would be very cool if somebody can tap into the back-list so the order can be changed so you can open whatever app you want to go back to. Or modifie the action of the tiles, so when you click the tile and you had that same app in the back-list, it will resume to that state (like fake multitasking) and when its not in the backlist it will just load the app normally.
Ok so with that who wants to write a task switcher for the homescreen

Wait, can you clarify the experiment some more? Whenever I ran a timer in the background, it would freeze the timer until I returned to it. Did you find some sort of way to actually execute code with another application focused?
Also, I think by increasing the QuantumNumber value under the same key will allow you to keep more applications open. Not sure though.

I think the only way is to change the $(expression)$ for math expressions using another char (maybe § or similar).

Because the whole calendar is out of layout. I have the 7th day after saturday... i can't do a screenshot now, 'cause i removed the widget... if you nedd one i can reinstall it.
I'm having the same problem. Using the code [ox]44*#D$(#DyMM#050000)$f#-30[/ox]
[oy]22*#D$(#DyMM#050000)$W#[/oy]
Zooper automatically put the number in the correct position in a grid, but this cause many problem with Sunday.

I added days to shift Sundays to end and used % operator to move the remaining days. Now Sundays have to be moved to previous week as well, which required a different technique to compute y offset. Lastly hide 29, 30, 31st if they aren't valid for current month.
Example for day 31 is
[ox]12+23* ((#D$(#DyMM#310000)$f# +5)%7)[/ox]
[oy]2+19*(floor( (#D$(#DyMM#010000)$f#-3+31)/7)+1)[/oy]
[c]$#Dl#<31?#00000000$[/c]
Complete widget is also attached.
Thanks button click?
For those who want to understand code:
12 is x margin, 23 is column width, every day is shifted by 5 so Sunday(1) becomes 6 and week days range between 0 and 6
2 is y margin, 19 is row height, add the day number(31) to the location of 1st day of month and divide by 7 to get week number. floor to discard fraction part. 3 is subtracted to cater for certain changes like 1-7 range change to 0-6 range, Sunday shift etc. first week is 0, 1 is added to all weeks to have week range 1-5 , instead of 0-4
Yesterday I downloaded the template and "installed" on my Smartphone (just for test) but I had a problem.

The same error for all days.
I didn't have investigated about the reason of this mistake because I don't need this Widget; I've made only a test ...

That is a know bug. It's because the "day of the week (number)" tag #Df# produces different numbers based on the locale of the device it's used on. Sometimes Sunday is 0, sometimes it's 7 for example.
The developer is aware of it but has not yet provided a solution.
On my Smartphone #Df# for Sunday return 0 (in some widget I make tests on 0 or 6 to color Saturday and Sunday).
You speak about " the locale of the device" to set 0 or 7; where can I set this "locale"?
I'm Italian and I set Language, time, date format, etc. for Italy ... but in Zooper Sunday is 0.

Locale is the language option set for the device. I have mine set to English (US) and for me sunday is 1. If I set it to German it's 0. So maybe I got the 7 wrong and it was 0 and 1 but I'm sure I also read something about a 7... I have to check up on that.
Either way: there is no constant way of determining the value of #Df# and that is why calendar templates based on this method are screwed up on some devices.
Know if upcoming updates will correct this bug?

No, the developer has not yet announced anything specific about this.
It also has to be said that this isn't a bug strictly speaking. Different cultures have different ideas when a week "starts". In europe it's mainly on monday while in north america sunday is the first day of a new week. So the different output of #Df# is actually correct. It just produced unexpected behavior when used for something like this monthly calendar.
Normal Calender

Alright so you got the calender to work for Monday throught Sunday, How would the advanced parameters look for a calender Sunday throught Saturday. I can't seem to adjust your calender to work that way. I also could not figure out the X and Y margins. Nothing shifted correctly everytime I tried to change the X and Y for a larger widget. Thanks
Can yor macke .zw fail pls.
I've imported this widget, but there's a problem: in months where the first (of jan, of feb,of mar...) is on Sunday = the last day in week, it is shown in the same row with day names (you can see it in SS).
Does anybody know how to solve it?
All I need to know is in Zooper... can I display an image instead of the text displaying the day of the week... so for example... if I want to display a draw of a camel on Wednesday instead of the text 'Wednesday' or 'Wed' etc. can I do do this? I am sure it is possible... I just cannot figure out HOW Thanks for any help!
As you can tell from the below sample you can see that you should me able to write an expression that would allow you to not only change the date and time but to do exactly what you want. If you need any help please pm me and I'll help you out any way I can.
Cheers!

I$#BLEVN#>10?Good!:Look for a charger!$ will render “Good!” if battery level is greater than 10 or “Look for a charger!” otherwise
Rich Text [c=$#BLEVN# 10 && #BLEVN < 25 ? #FFFF00$$#BLEVN# >= 25 ? #00FF00$]#BLEVN#%[/c] will write battery level (es 10%) in RED if battery is 1) ? #C0EEEE$ will write first calendar entry day name writing “Today” if its today, “Tomorrow” if tomorrow, the name of the day otherwise
$#C0SHH:mm#!=00:00$ will render the starting HH:mm of first calendar event only if it is different than “00:00″
Is it August $#DM#=8?Yes:No$ will render “Is it August: Yes” during August, “Is it August: No” otherwise
$#LCN#!=Germany$ will render the Country name only if its not Germany (nothing otherwise)
$#C0D#=1?#C0Shh\:mm#$ will show the time of first calendar event start in 12 h format only if the entry is not an all day event (please remember to*escape*the “:” into “\:” otherwise it will be considered an “else” block!)

Hi! I saw this post of yours, I know it is late but I am trying to edit my calendar widget so that it displays the event in this format: *Month* *Day* *Day of the Week* *Time (if not an all day event)* *Event Title*
For example my first upcoming event is: Suits Season 5 Return @ January 27 at 6PM.
So the only way I could tweak it as closely to my preference displays as "Wed Jan 27 6:00PM Suits Season 5 Return". This is REALLY close to how I am trying to get it but the rich text is a bit complicated for me.
As of right now my current rich text is: #C0SEEE MMM d hh:mma# #C0TITLE#
I am trying to have it say, "Jan 27 - Wed - 6:00PM Suits Season 5 Return" AS well as for the time to disappear if it were an all day event instead. Do you think you can help me out with this? I tried to copy and paste in some of your code it wasn't really working for me.
