Has anyone out there found a solution to the corrupt microSD card problem? Are any cards immune?

I don't think the problem is due to the card, but that it is a software problem. Maybe HTC can solve the problem in the next firmware release.

Hi,
i'm using in my HERM200 microSD card Kingston 2GB. I have CRC 13.0 Rom. I have problem with my card, because I 'm using this card on Linux and on Windows Xp.
If i'm in Win i'm using WMstorage or ActiveSync or card reader to copy files.
If i'm in Lin i'm using WMstorage or card reader to copy files. Always I do unplugging card before disconnecting.
But after some time my card is corrupted and i can't access some files. I have tried two different microSD card, but both are Kingston 2gb.
What I do wrong ?
Try to use fix error and see if does the trick. I know my card did that one time, and i did fix errors, and its working just fine after that.
i've tried, but it didn't help
i think if this is not incompatibility between card and herm200.
As I wrote, this problem is repeating after some time of using device and copying files.

might want to ask CRC on his thread directly he uses his kitchen in linux i think and i don't think he's having any issues
i think, that this isn't rom specific problem, because i had this problem on other roms too.

no, but i''ll try it.
but i have question.
i had some rom (now i don't know which) with sd card fix or sd power management fix. Has Herm200 some problems with sd ?
Simply put, the card was working just fine earlier today, and now it's not detected anymore. Tried removing the card, rebooting the phone, no results. Using kavana's 6.1 rom, memory card is a 4 GB kingston that I've had for a while. Tried a friend's 2GB card, and it didn't detect it either. My card didn't get detected in his phone due to firmware issues.
Any clues or ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Do you have an external memory card reader? Try reading your card on your pc (or mac) with that. Your memory card may be damaged. I had a similar problem 2 days ago and the card was damaged.

And just as an addition try a format to fat32. "i know 2 x cards not worked but worth a try"
Formatted the card, still sees it randomly (also, it had stopped seeing the contents of my card a couple of days ago. Had to format it, but problems still continue). As I said at the beginning of the thread, when I first encountered the issue I tried a friend's card, but it didn't detect it either.
A while ago I upgraded to WM 6.5 (again) and for a while everything went back to normal. Now it's not working again. Also tried a third card (yet another 2GB card) but it detected it randomly. Could there be an issue with the microSD controller in my phone? Or the reader itself?
Storage card go missing - Samsung sgh i780
It happens to me too. I use a Samsung i780 with a 2GB. The card goes missing randomly. I got the phone changed to a new one, changed the card to 8GB, yet both with 6.1 windows but problem is same.
Please help !! is this a windows bug ?

Then take it to Nokia Care. You might have a hardware issue.
maybe you can try hardreset,, or if still cant, go to Nokia Care, with your waranty
So I have a 64gb memory card but I noticed that it's not recognised by all apps. However I can navigate to it manually. I tried to put a 2gb memory card in earlier and it seems to work as expected. Have anyone else noticed anything quirky like that? Does anyone know of a fix or method to trouble shoot the issue?

Maybe formatting your card will solve the problem
External SD Card Fix
If you want to be able to have apps write to your external SD card you need to make some changes to the PLATFORM.XML file. I had to do this to get Titanium Backup to be able to write to the external card instead of the internal memory. See link. I have root and am guessing you need root for this. There may be some apps out there that will also help you out.

That seems to have fixed the issue, thanks.
Hi friends, Im using 64gb class 10 sandisk sd card. So after updating to lollipop i have been getting these errors frequently and i have to restart the handset to fix it temporarily. I had this issue on kitkat as well but happened only rarely like once a month or so.
These two things happened unfortunately,
1) i had dropped my phone on carpet from 2 feet after lollipop update. I wonder if the phone couldn't handle it!
2) i removed the sd card without unmounting it from settings and immediately got the error and kept happening after that.
so i am confused what caused the issue. Is the connector loose or what is the problem. this is very annoying!
I have formated sd card, reset handset and tried another sd card and still the same issue. sd card is detected on the pc. Happens with transcend sd card as well. Please advise i am confused. do i take it to the service center. will they find out if it was a physical damage?
In my experience that happens when cards start to go bad. Maybe once to often of removing without unmounting first?

yes i did remove the sd card a couple of time without unmounting, however as i said that even my 8gb trancend card threw the same error... im gonna try another 64gb card and see the result.. still more replies would be appreciated
so i noticed that the issue kept happening even with 3 different sd cards in the phone. Surprisingly the error also popped up without the sd card. I am assuming this is an issue with lollipop software? can someone please shed some light on this ****!

Do a factory reset. Lollipop has no such issue.
