Weird power problem - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

It charges itself normaly, to the green light on the right.
After I disconnet it from the charger green lights still, not blinking (as it was before).
After 10-15 minutes it lights orange (like during charge).
In Power settings State of main battery changes to Charging, though it is not connected to charger, and drains out in about 4-6 hours.
Backlight Brightness also behaves like it is on external power not on battery.
Any comments would be appreciated.

[Q] Phone will only charge with power off ?????

When the power is on the TP2 the red LED charge light is on. the icon in the task bar changes to show that it is plugged in. but after sitting for hours the battery only drains further. If i power the TP2 down plug it up the red LED comes on and the battery charges fully to 100% then goes to green. I have bought new battery and charger. any ideas? note it is allowed to charge via usb in the settings. thanks folks
This is NOT a issue. It's a feature.
Phone does charge to 100%, but later the electricity is cut off until it reaches ~95% (or something like that). It prevents the battery from overcharging and saves important battery lifetime cycles. If it would be charged constantly from 99% to 100% the battery would be dead in a month.

[Q] Battery charging issue

Hello!
I have a question about battery charging. I'm using open desire custom rom and my battery won't charge till100%.
I connect the charger and it only fills up to 90 - 100%. Sometimes it charges till 100 but only when I connect with 10 - 20% or turn off the phone and charge when it's off.
Anyone had the same problem?
Thanks!
The following steps should significantly extend the battery life on your phone.
Please connect the phone to the charger with the phone powered on, and allow the phone to charge until the notification LED is green, indicating the device is fully charged.
Disconnect the phone from the charger, and power it off.
Reconnect the phone to the charger with the phone powered off, and allow the phone to charge until the notification LED is green.
Disconnect the phone from the charger and power it on.
Once the phone is powered completely on, power it off again and reconnect it to the charger until the notification LED is green. Disconnect the phone, power it on, and use it.
Thanks i'll give it a try...hope this batt calibration works

[Q] Usb charging not good enough

I have noticed that whenever I charge my DHD through my laptop USB port, It discharges faster than on a full charge through the charger.
Am I imagining things?
I don't know about fast discharging, but mine takes forever to charge while connected through a USB :/ however, there are ROMS that have included fast USB charging either through the ROM itself or a kernel
Hit the thanks button if I helped you or if you likey my post trolol
Also just because the indicator light is green and battery reads 100% it doesn't mean the battery is at 100%. There is an amount of time that varies depending whether you charge via mains or USB after the light goes green/100% that the battery is actually fully charged.
I remember reading somewhere that in the case of USB charging it can actually take up to an hour after to the light turning green that the battery is at 100%. Something to bear in mind.
After the light has turned green and the battery shows 100%, power off the phone and charge for an additional hour or two. This should help.
Also use battery monitor app to watch the charging current--the battery is fully charged only when the monitor shows 0mA. Usually after the light has turned green and the battery showed 100%, the battery charging current is still 40-50mA.

2.05 base/kernel - even worse charging?

On previous ROMs/kernels, orange light meant charging, green light meant charged, bliking light meant error (overheat). When the state changed from charging to charged, then it overheated (like in car) and started charging again, it would show orange light and actually charge.
On 2.05 kernels (all ROMs - MIUI, AOSP, AOKP, Charmeleon Sense...) it turns green at 90% charge, but when it charges and is under load it stops charging - I have a green light and a dropping charge in car (and it is NOT drawing more than 1A from charger, and yes I am on AC charge charger). It will even keep showing green when the charge drops to 80%.
Anybody else notices this? It looks like they "prevented" overheating problems by not actually charging but still showing the happy green light. This is bull*t if you ask me - one moment you have a happy green light, and after few hours of driving it just turns off? (haven't tested this, but what else is going to happen?).
I was hoping for a real fix - like switching from battery to AC for power when charged, the phone should run from the charger and not from the (overheating) battery when under load.
90% green means you're good to go. u can continue charging up to 100%
90% ac mode with car charger because car charges tend to be unstable. ac at 100% might fry your board
the 90% green feature is also available in cm9/aokp roms. even miui
There's nothing wrong with charging up to 100%. And there's nothing wrong with output from most car chargers (and in modern cars even crappy chargers work good as the voltage is well stabilized).
I think it only depends on kernel, not ROM.
And the issue I wanted to raise is that it discharges without reason from green to "orange", without showing orange, and it's not because of overheating (when it overheats it still flashes orange/green, but it happens less often because it will not actually charge most of the time).

Charging Led at 100% battery isn't solid green anymore

The type c end of my stock cable dipped in soup. I wiped it with tissue and used it - perhaps too hurriedly. Quick charge is working (with the message) and it goes to 100. I can't try data because I'm traveling.
However I noticed now the charging led no longer turns solid green when battery is 100. Instead it cycles between green and orange at a constant rate (like every second). I'm worried it might be damaging the battery as maybe something is off aboht ghe cable now?
When phone is shut off it does stay solid green but the screen seems to stay on (charger connected 100% battery). I think that's normal though.
