By charging my MDA i realised the USB charger was overheated. I changed the fuse, connected the cable into the phone. The charging led got red,not orange as it was suppossed to be.As I disconnected the charging cable, the led got orange, which should be by charging only.I took of the battery, then put it back, but nothing has changed. The charging light was still orange and the system showed charging, even without the cable. After one hour the phone swittched off,death....
Please Help!!!!!
Jan, I'm afraid, there is no easy advice "how to fix". You'll need repair specialist, who wlii open your PDA and replace faulty chips and other components. There is no simple "fuse" to change inside (there are several fuses, chips, very small, some of them may need replacement). And it seems charging microchip is dead.

Ok, girlfriend bought a sx66 for her daughter from ebay. Included nothing but phone and battery. She also bought a USB sync/charge cable. Problem is it wont turn on, battery seems totally dead, and it doesn't charge from the USB cable. Also when it is plugged into the PC, I get a USB device error telling me the device wasn't recognized, remove and retry connection or replace the device..
Is it hopeless? Should we try a straight A/C battery charger for the phone?
Can someone tell me the location of the positive and negative terminals on the battery? I would like to try getting some juice into it but they are not labeled on the battery..
Thanks

When I had the USB device error, it turned out to be a bad sync cable.
Does the phone do anything when you plug it in? Assuming that one is looking at the front of the phone, the upper right hand LED should either turn yellow/orange when the phone is charging, green when the battery has a full charge, or red if there is a problem with charging (bad battery, messed up charging circuit, etc). If there is no response, it might be a bad cable, which would cause the USB problem you mentioned above.
If the battery is dead enough, it might take a few minutes before it will power on when it's plugged into some kind of power (usb or standalone charging cable). I had this happen with mine when I got it.
the phone does nothing when plugged in.. no lights at all.
She's gonna try ordering an AC charger and go from there. I do know the data cable was an ebay item so that could be crap.. We're just trying to get anything we can out of the phone so we know if it's usable or junk.
Thanks
I'll post back when we find something out..

Hi,
I need some help regarding my phone, (huawei p6) it will only charge if the phone is off.
When the phone is on and i put the charger in it wont charge and it wont connect to pc (all drivers installed)
If i start the phone with the charger connected it will keep on charging when it boots to os.
If i then take out the charger and put it back in it wont charge anymore????
The one thing (i think) caused this problem is that i used an charging pack (battery charger).
I have had the phone for a few weeks now and no problems.
Anyone any idea?
PS syncing to pc not possible even when i reboot (red led)
Thanx,
Oscar

yesterday i put my phone to charge while slepping and i had some technical problems with electricity in my home so the power kept coming and going so my charger got fried and my zenfone wont charge anymore with any adapter i tried using 4 others charge, tried connecting to pc, tried turning it on but still my zenfone wont turn on. when i press power button it makes 2 vibration it shows like its charging and the led than turns off. I know something in the phone got fried and i send it to service but they said they dont have parts, so im going to buy them online but i dont know what it got fried (usb port, battery or motherboard).
Sorry for my bad english and thnks in advance
Same here. I think i have the same, but my adapter haven't fried and is healthy 3 port wall charger. I have even changed the battery, cause of this problem. Asus shop send me a new one because of this, free of charge!
But even then it doesn't work. There are moments when i can turn it on and charge, but its random. I thought it was Android related, but haven't found out anything..
I can turn and charge it sometimes, don't know yet when..
But the Battery release i think helps (Unplugging Battery connector from battery, no need to take it out).
Have tried many of tips, guides, nothing.. Nothing helps..
I'm starting to think that mobo has been damaged somehow.
I got it one time to charge fully, don't understand how. Once i plugged in and saw that it charged at last, i didn't turn it on and left it there till full. Once charged it, kind of charged when i plugged in (at about 60% battery), and in Ampere there was normal Current (about 1000mA), but it didn't really charge, just drained..
Please guys, would appreciate this!
And a lot of people in youtube too. There has been no answer for this problem.
I'm assuming your already tried with different cables? If you are lucky and just the micro USB port section got fried, a replacement costs 5 bucks on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Charging-Po...169886?hash=item1a030a819e:g:aowAAOSwDNdVqKyi
When something in my ZF2 fried all of the USB data functionality was gone, but it would still charge at slow rate. I RMA'd it and after ~2 months they sent me a new phone; did not mention what exactly was wrong with the old one.
Then a while later I dropped it on the floor while it was charging - it landed straight on the micro USB cable side and the impact dislodged the USB port ripping some of the lanes off the PCB so I could not solder it back, and of course then it would not charge at all. I bought one of those charging dock replacements I mentioned and with that replaced it started working again.
It might be a damage data flex cable. That data cable with simcad slots and micro sd need to be replaced to be able to charges again and working fast charging.
my zenfone phone is not charging what do i do
I'm half way sure what the problem is but I want to get my thoughts straight.
Phone doesn't charge at all. No vibration. Nothing. Before it was detecting the charger and it would behave like it was accepting the charge for 10mins, after it would show the "USB charger not compatible" thingo.
I believe it's either the charging circuits or the battery. What do you guys believe?
It can be a faulty cable or a faulty charging port or the cable connecting the sub-board to the motherboard (that cable also holds the SIM and SD slots). Take apart the phone and disconnect the battery. Wait for sometime and connect it back. Charge it using a known good USB cable and charger. It might have happened that the phone is in a locked down state due to short circuit protection from the charger.
Hello fellow Xda forum members, I'm hoping someone can shed a light on what has happened to my Samsung P5210 tablet. Unfortunately this tablet has turned off and will not swtich on at all, my pc & odin don't recognize it. I've charged the battery externally but it won't turn on, & if I plug it into a wall charger the motherboard starts heating up on the upper right hand side of the tablet (under the power button). I've unplugged all flex cables and even changed the power connector cable but to no avail. I've tested the power connector on the mainboard with a voltage pen tester & no voltage passes when the tablet is being wall charged or when the battery is connected. Has any ever had this problem & how did they solve it? I'd really like to recover my files that were on my tablet if it was possible. Thank you for any assistance provided. Rocco
Does your PC recognise it in Device Manager?
Thank you Jespert for your reply. No, unfortunately neither desktop pc's nor laptops recognizie the tablet. I had the chance to bring my tablet to a technician
for repairs and he was able to turn on the tablet externally without using the battery and they kind of think that a transisitor could be at fault as the battery and connectors work perfectly.
maybe display problem? mine won't turn on so I disconnected the display cable and put it back in and it worked
Hi Andrei the Android Guy, thanks for the read & reply. I replaced the flex cable & disconnected the battery connector which worked in the past, so I think I can eliminate all other possibilities (I did unplug all other flex cables just in case). The tablet warms up when charging so I checked up on the internet & it seems that these series of Samsung tablets suffer from power management problems, something which was confirmed from the technician I brought it too for repairs (they managed to boot it up by rebuilding the charging circuit & it worked fine). I'm really griping about the fact that I couldn't copy my files before it turned off.
